    2. She said its not her PRIORITY, she didn't say she doesn't want to get married. Her priority might be financial independence.

  8. Anybody that says marriage isn't my priority. They actually desperately want to get married, but it hasn't worked out fine for them,so they condition their minds to think it isn't their priority, just incase it never happens. But they desire it dieeeee !!!

    1. Learn to speak for yourself. If you are desperate for it, be desperate alone don't come looking for who to recruit in your desperation

    2. They desire it but it may not be their priority. That is her stance, you are free to have yours.

Yes marriage was my priority and it didn't stop me from achieving my other priority which was a career. I actually met my husband at work.

    4. What a nonsensical ideology, please speak for yourself alone .
If you're speaking out of experience say so but do not arrive at such a flimsy conclusion that is all in your head. 🙃😲🤥🤫

  13. Calm down. It means that their relationship with Jesus is their priority, and I think even St Paul made such reference in the bible about a single person whose desire is to please the Lord vs a married person whose desire is to please their spouse. Also people approach God differently. To some he is that sovereign being they worship and pray to. To others he is a friend they talk and gist with and pour their burdens on. Eg..The story of the prodigal son. His elder brother feared their father and did everything perfectly right. The prodigal son broke the rules and wasn't perfect but had love in his heart.

  14. Why is everyone trying to force her to make same life choices or set same priorities as you? That's one thing I don't get about Nigerians...fighting anyone who dares say a word that is not the norm, who dares question the societal standards. Who refuses to join in the charade of the everyday Nigerian circus. Not everyone wants your life, as ordinary or as beautiful as it may seem. Not everyone wants your pity or your advice or prayers. Some want other things, some want the world, and their choice is valid.

Finally, it's Genevieve Nnaji that fits Nigerians, living on her terms, not granting no interviews, not trying to fit in and giving a middle finger to every societal expectation of her. A middle finger to your opinions and thoughts and rumors of her. You may shout and scream, but you will never know her truths.

    1. Its just quite appalling, we all cannot have the same priorities , we all cannot agree on the same thing, even twins do not have same thoughts.
It's just sad that a social defying ideology becomes a taboo to others , it's crazy
One time my mom was praying for me to get married ,
She told me she was led to tell me that I'm not on the same page with her and only when I'm ready to get married would it happen .
Alas it was what it was we all have our priorities .
However why rush and make a mistake when she can pray and make an everlasting choice ?

  18. 'Marriage ' in Nigeria I have come to know is just sex (not love making), child rearing (for old age security) and pleasing society. After that, just existing day and night without substance.
