ReplyDeletebefore Jesus came to pay the price of redemption for man, man's sin could only be washed away (forgiven and forgotten) by God, through the sacrifice of "animals" for atonement (depending on the nature of sin committed).
Jesus the sacrifice(death) of Jesus (on the cross) did for man was to change that physical "ceremony" into a spiritual order called "GRACE".
Now, "confessing and believing Jesus" (for Salvation) is a way of saying: you confess and believe that Jesus came to take away your sins once and for all and that you no longer need the blood of animals for your sins to be washed away (Jesus paid it all on the cross because he loves you)...God bless you.
