''If you may recall, the Nigerian passport until today had a validity of 5 years.
Today, the new 10 year passport was launched by the Nigerian Immigration Service due to popular demand. And I represented the Governor of Lagos. H.E Babajide Sanwo-olu at the historic event''.
nice 1
ReplyDeleteIt’s a nice thing but they would tell you No Paper in Lagos but would never available in other states
DeleteGood one
ReplyDeleteHope it will be readily available, not come today, come tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAbi oooo. One thing to launch another thing to collect it
Delete10 x the existing corruption?
ReplyDeleteI hope they will have papers, not to launch alone, they should have everything ready.
ReplyDeleteMost immigration officers are thieves!...
ReplyDeleteOne told me its 100k!..
I’m not doing biko!...
I can’t spend such amount on a nonsense Nigerian passport!...
You can lie en, chai. Na visa you wan do?
DeleteShe told no lie. I was told it's 90k. If it's express then twould be 100k upwards.
DeleteShe is not lying. I paid 450 dollars for three passports in 2011, when they did Passport on wheels. In 2016, my friend from Portland, Oregon paid just 450 dollars for one passport. The sad part is, he never even travelled home since then. Mine is expired and l will not pay such outrageous amount for a passport. They are Thieves. They tell you to buy separate money orders in different amounts. The consul General should be aware of this because l am sure they give him proceeds.
Delete@ your last statement, yes he is in know and actually laid a rule of going home each with nothing less than a certain amount. An immigration officer told me when I emphasized on the N40,000 charge for less 24 hours express.
DeleteNice one. Finally, That was what I wanted but since it wasn't available a few months ago, I went for the 5 years.
ReplyDeleteMy abroad tour loading. By God's grace 🙏
The hassle for that of 5years is so crazy,I was forced to opt for express service.I wonder how they'd manage this.
ReplyDeleteAbeg my people, can I travel back to Nigeria with expired passport?
ReplyDeleteYes you can. But make sure you have ur residence permit from ur original residential country. If not, Na depot u depot urself so. Also, to leave Nigeria, you must have a Naija passport. If not you won’t be able to leave. Or if u are a citizen, get visa on arrival.
DeleteThank you so much for your response. I do have residence permit and I plan to get a new passport as soon as I get to Nigeria.
DeleteThanks again.
I don't believe you can fly with an expired passport;Expired Visa Yes but Not expired passport. Google Nigerian Embassy phone number and call them to verify if you can travel with expired passport.
DeleteFew years back I tried travelling with an expired passport but I was denied checking-in due to this; I had to get an Emergency letter from Nigerian Embassy in Newyork to fly.
Thanks, WhatWillPeopleSay. I have finally decided to renew in Atlanta first. I submitted the application today and got 14th Aug appointment. I want to push that forward because I need to travel before end of August and I don't know how :(
DeletePassport without value...
ReplyDeleteHope there won't be issues of no booklets. What will one not see in this country?
ReplyDeleteOne idiot tod me its 110k...wetin...i was just pissed off
