CAN Tells Miyetti-Allah To Call Their Violent Members To Order

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Thursday urged the leadership of the Miyetti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to call their members who are violent to order.

The President, CAN, Dr Samson Ayokunle, who made the call at a news conference in Abuja, said until they were called to order, they cannot regain the trust and respect of Nigerians.

The cleric explained that nobody hated the Fulani until some Fulani began to act violently, killing innocent people.

CAN said that if there was any enemy from any Fulani man, the Fulani man created the enemy for himself, adding “they have been living peacefully for many years in our various communities, till the killing issues started.”

”In those days, our children married them, they married our children, but when they became too violent and started carrying AK47, killing people, what type of play is that? that’s a dangerous play.

”We can no longer think we are friends with that type of play it’s too dangerous, so let them call their people to order and ensure that they remove the enmity they have created around an average Fulani person,” NAN quoted him as saying.
He challenged their leaders to call out the violent ones among them to order, that is the only way people will respect them and people can trust them again.
Ayokunle also charged the government to step up its security system across the country with a view to stopping the unending killings.

  2. Nicely said. At this point in time, things need to be said as they are and not sugar coating it. Sincerely, I must say, Nigeria possesses every attributes of a failed state. This is the sole reason I have often doubt the redeemability of this country.

No president in the history of Nigeria have divided Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines like Buhari have done. Abacha was terrible but he wasn't and didn't divide Nigeria along ethnic and religious lines. Where is the integrity been ascribed to Buhari? The same Buhari who said, any governor owing civil servant salary shouldn't be reelected. He Went to Kogi and endorsed Yahaya Bello. Where is the integrity in all these?

If this country don't thread carefully, I doubt if there will be Nigeria in few years to come. Something worse than Somalia will befall Nigeria.

  4. Since Buhari became the President, every killing that happens in Nigeria is now being attributed to his Fulani brothers. He is Fulani, and that's why he has is allowing his Fulani brothers to kill, Fulanize and Islamize Nigeria. This is the theory the enemies of Nigeria want you to believe. A perfect example is the Killing of the Afenifere's daughter last week widely reported as perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen which turned out not to be true. That's the handiwork of the enemies of Nigeria which FFK and the likes are amongst. CAN is only but a political group without bearing and dances to the tune of whoever greases their palms

    2. Even the brother of the deceased refuted the police and said, her sister was killed by Fulani herdsmen. So also was the account of the driver and eye witness. Eesah you are still a young boy who obviously don't know or haven't read about the history of Fulani people. The people killed at Agatu in Benue state and Nimbo in Enugu state where killed by which people? Aren't they Fulani? Keep lieing to yourself like your president.
