LIVE INSECT IN PIE

Hello Madam,

I don't know where this fit, but please help me create awareness to save lives.I bought bigi and fruit milk drink to hold body this morning before going for lunch only for me to see a live insect and a very poisonous one coming out of It after having a bite of it.

It was scary but i thank God for my safety.Mothers when you are buying things especially snacks for your children check well.

This is horrible...How did that thing survive inside the wrapped package?
I dont even buy stuff like this for my self or my kids...Even Caprisone,i stopped buying long ago when i cut it open and saw some conjealed stuff.....

This is horrible!!!!

THINGS NO ONE WILL TELL YOU ABOUT MOTHERHOOD....

Countless times, I've heard many women say that being a mother is an amazing and joyful experience. They talked about it so much that all I ever imagined was bliss and happiness.

No one prepared me for the nine months journey of constant nausea, aches, uncomfortable position for sleep and unimaginable pain during child birth.

I heaved a sigh of relief after the birthing process, but more was to come with the sleepless nights, engorged painful breasts that were swollen with too much milk. The birth stripes that made me look like I wrestled with a lion and it imprinted my stomach with its claws.

"I can't wait for these children to grow " I would complain within me "so that I can get my freedom back." While some of the initial challenges dissipated, new ones sprang up in their place.

I went into a shouting spree each time I saw them getting into harm's way till my voice became hoarse. No one told me that no matter how I tried to keep the house tidy and neat, they would upturn it in minutes.

I always admired cute little boys and girls in their pretty dresses and smart clothes and I couldn't wait to do the same to mine. But I never imagined I would spend more than 10 minutes to wash their mouths with constant swallowing of toothpaste and urging them to open their mouths and stop biting down on the toothbrush, bathe them with them fussing and crying before getting them dressed .

I was least prepared to use the tactics of threat, cajoling, begging and promises to get them to eat their food neither did I know that the first portion of my food would be their leftovers added to a little more from the pot.

No one told me that I would be caught in between trying to achieve my dreams and at the same time ensuring that the pursuit of mine did not jeopardize theirs in any way.

Oh!!! those single days when I was tired and hungry, but instead of going through the stress of cooking even a simple meal, I would resort to going to bed starving. Motherhood has made me put aside my feelings and put the children's first.

I miss my single days and even though I cherish these little ones, there are days when I crave 'me time' .

FRAUDSTERS OF AGUDA - MUST READ (Part three)

I stood up to peep through the door and I saw pastor discussing with yoruba man who was suppose to be in the restroom at the far end of the house. They noticed me peeping and the lady asked me to sit.

They all came in and the pastor asked us all to hold hands and take an oath that if we told anyone we would die! I quietly rejected it.

He said we all should go and source for 200 thousand naira to buy the annointing oil to use and detonate the hausa voodoo on the money.

I just laughed in my mind because i knew i had just 100 thousand in my account which was incomplete for my rent and bills.

This pastor faced me again and said how much do you have? I said 4,500naira was in my handbag. Na so baba flare up! He said why am i lying like this (see wetin packaging and freshness do me o)..I said pastor, even my rent is not complete!

I no sha know wetin happen between that moment and how Ivwas bundled to GTB along Itire/Ojuelegba road. It was opposite a Total filling station back then.

I remember getting to the bank, I climbed upstairs, the cashier was smiling with me. I was trying to say something to her, she was looking at me strangely like trying to decode i was in some sort of distress.

She asked me twice if I was ok and i just nodded without a word ( the western world would have suspected and retained me for awhile to be certain). I was emptying my entire account and was partly in my right senses.

I collected the money in a small black plastic bag but i didn't move immediately. My brain was struggling to scream for help.

I descended the stairs and someone bumped into me, a part of me felt some awakening. I moved slowly until i got to the exit door. The security guard also asked me 'Is everything ok ma'am'. I was just standing there looking around. He asked where i was parked but i looked on the other side of the road and the car was waiting for me with pastor and yoruba man.

A young man who was staring at me would have fully awakened my mind if he had tried to converse with me. I remember carrying the bag close to my chest like a bomb. I crossed the road and got into the car.

The pastor said yoruba man wants to go and sign in at his place of work, run around for his money and come back to join him.

The pastor said Igbo driver has also brought his money which was from a first bank around the corner. I just sat there looking.

He said i would go to the beggars under a bridge in aguda area and give my remaining money to the beggars so that old money would pave way for new money and business growth.

We got to the bridge, the pastor said i should take off my stud ear-rings, 18 carat neck chain and bracelets ( birthday gifts from my wealthy aunt). He said i needed to be in a sober form. He almost asked me to take off my gold-plated wristwatch but changed his mind when the driver tapped him and pointed to the police ahead.

They asked me to cross and sort the beggars and they would turn ahead to pick me.............

FINAL PART IN THURSDAY IHN....Its the climax OMG OMG OMG OMG

TEEJAYS CORNER
ARISE O COMPATRIOT....

The National Anthem, is one aspect of our collective understanding, proclamation and expression of a total allegiance and loyalty to the sovereign state of Nigeria. It imbibed the spirit of patriotism as one of the lines will read; "to serve our fatherland, with love and strength and faith."

As kids, we learnt the recitation of the anthem earlier enough as it was routinely said everyday during the morning devotion. There's this enthusiasm, pride and confidence whenever we do that, especially at the point where we put our right hand at the chest to pledge our loyalty to the state.

In furtherance to the call for unity, service and patriotism to the nation, a scheme known as NYSC was also created. Quite certain and no doubt, this should breed unity in diversity as graduating students were sent to states and communities with a different culture and background from where they originated from for a period of one year.

How fair has the Nigerian society been in all this?

Taking into cognizance what's obtainable in today's Nigeria, it will be of grave injustice and economical with the truth to say, this is the Nigeria of our dream. For some of us, we aren't proud anymore in the country we found ourselves and called our own, as a good numbers of Nigerians are already living the country for a civilized society and those in the diaspora had refused to come home.

Things has degenerated so badly that one would asked how true could these words be "The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain." Never a time has Nigeria ever being divided along ethnic and religious lines like it is today. So much bloodshed in the land with tribal conflict of interest.

What has befallen Nigeria? The once pride of Africa.

Corruption in every spheres of government. Unemployment, no jobs for the over millions of Nigerian graduate as the ratio of unemployment keeps doubling each current year. Bad economic policy resulting to a bastardized economy and unfriendly environment for foreign investment. Epileptic power supply across the nation, lack of infrastructural development, poor treatment of civil servants, lecturers, and doctors, infringement of human fundamental rights, recycling of aged politicians without positive input or result to show for, militarilization of elections and nepotism.

Will Nigeria ever be redeemed? Should we still hope for a better Nigeria?

BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS

Chai! Stella I was duped yesterday. E pain me o.

I don't know who needs to read this but I know FedEx Nigeria needs to do something about this guy.

So this month will make 6 years my husband had his kidney transplant done in India, we go for Check up and buy medicine from India. Our nephrologist sent us a 6 month prescription upon request and the company that supplies us did the necessary stuff and sent the medicine through FedEx. They divided the medicine into two becos no courier company will carry a six month medicine at once, it has to be divided.

I was given the tracking number and I did normal to track but it has not been updated since Saturday so I decided to call bcos I had an issue with DHL once like that the status did not change and I called to find out only for them to tell me i had to pay for custom duties so the medicine doesnt get sent back to India. That was why I went to Google FedEx to get their customer care line to know what's up so i got this number(09050404598) from one of the ones attached to an Abuja office bcos I stay in Abuja....

I called and a guy picked up and introduced himself as a FedEx staff and I laid my complain and he requested for my tracking number which I gave him then he told me I had to pay for custom duties of #15,800, Stella, I was furious at first then I remembered I paid more than 20,000 to DHL so I calmed down. So he sent me this text message (Custom's A/C Officer's Name:FedEx/Mrs Glory Anthony NO: 2085686537 Bank:UBA. Delivery Time:01:35pm). I didn't have that money I had to borrow it so you can see how urgently I needed the medicine bcos we were short of the ones we have left.

I paid the money and sent the evidence to his WhatsApp page. He said the medicine will arrive at Abuja by 1pm, I called 1pm then he said 3pm. Chai! Stella, I called and called at first the number was not going but it later went and this guy would pick and put it to the television. I dressed up and went to their office only for them to tell me that they have been having issues with this guy that he has been duping people and that they have reported him to UBA and the bank said they should go to the police station but we all know how Nigeria is nah. I don't know who I will be saving with this o but we should all be careful and double check when you are tracking anything in Nigeria.

Stella, I attached my evidence of payment for your eyes only.

*Na wah oh,small money but being duped doesnt feel good at all...So sorry!!!

COMMENT SECTION

Good day peeps, pls can someone put me through the procedure of applying for Canadian masters scholarship program.I am presently undergoing my NYSC program at a remote state very far from Lagos and I have never step out of the shores of Nigeria before.

I need a step by step breakdown of how to apply for the scholarship, the amount that will be involved for the whole process, what i will be needing to travel with, the likely question I ll be asked at the embassy,if I can get a permanent residency after my study, how long the program will take and the likes.

Secondly, I dont know how to present this plan to my boyfriend cos his ex fiance also travelled out of the country to study while dey were dating and it resulted in their breakup. I dont want him to feel the same way about me too and I also dont want to lose him as a good man like him is hard to come by and besides he has really been supportive. I feel that travelling is an avenue for me to give myself and my future family a better ........

Cant help you with the first part but the ''secondly'' part is what concerns me.....Please do what you have to do when you have to do it..if you people are meant to be,even the Miles wont be able to stop you..

  2. MY WEDDING

So after we informed our parents, we noticed that our two mothers were secretly plotting for the wedding (the one you folks call "white wedding") to be done in "their respective churches" (different denominations).😯😯😯
This was where the "man" in my DH kicked in. We had discussed what we want our wedding to be like; simple, invite our friends/colleagues. The only ceremony we did not have control over (which is Scripturally speaking, the actual wedding) was the one in my dad's house. He is the man and lord of his own house. I told my fiance that he should focus on the "bride price" and everything my people demanded and leave the rest; our clothing, our ride, anything after that ceremony to me. So the ceremony was done in my dad's compound; just an average ceremony; his friends, family friends etc. For the bride price proper, my papa tell (like he does for all his daughters) them make them bring "what they can afford" -πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
After that ceremony (n' abani ahu -that night): Wawu, legitimate poundings! 🀦‍♀️😊😊😊). See me smiling sheepishly all through next day 😊😊. Next day, I took him to the banks and joined him to my accounts (remember he joined me to his immediately I accepted to marry him). He was "not surprised". He said that he had known me to be "unmoved by wealth" and that was what his dad told him they also found out in making inquiries. Next, we went to our tailors/fashion designers to collect our clothes which we were to wear for the (registry) formalities and reception. I sewed a simple, immaculate but splendid, white gown; just loose enough to accommodate something big and smooth behind 😊😊. (Had bought my hat, jewelries and flower in my last trip). I did not wear "anybody", I designed it myself, bought the materials while the fashion house sewed it, and i wore that clothe to occasions for another three years before I gave it out (No need for a long flowing gown, that costs hundreds of thousands and I wear it for only one day). In fact, even my mother who was my greatest critic before then admired my "daring to be cute and different" attires. DH wore his Navy blue suit, white shirt and wine red tie; simple and cute. The entire thing I wore costs less than 80k naira (then). In fact, it was even the jewelries that made it that much (just simple white beads etc. please I did not include the cost of the rings which he paid for even before bride price was paid.)
After the registry (where my pastor and wife were our witnesses) with friends and family, we went to a popular eatery in town where about 70-80 people (had budgeted for 50-100) with invitations/not invited showed up and ate to satisfaction and went with takeaways (a few street beggars we invited showed up too). The entire wedding DH/I managed (registry/eatery) cost us less than 200k naira (attires not included). We had paid 180 k for 2 hours of "colonizing the eatery", prayers were said there. His dad hosted his friends and co in his house etc (we also stopped over to greet them). . After which We vamoosed next day! That was full stop to wedding. We pulled a fast one on the two mothers that were secretly plotting for "wedding in their churches". 😊😊😊😊😊. Them search for us tire. Just wrote texts that we were okay in our location. By the next time we were showing up, Jesus don enable me chop (legitimate) belle full! 😊😊😊😊
We know our "mommies" (Pharisees) churches very well. Them no dey wed wives (bride price paid) wey chop belle full (but them go wed those wey shoot off o).
Please FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS.

    15. @14:58/De Heroine

      Think Scriptures and common sense.
Let's start with "common sense"; You introduce your fiance to your dad and next thing, you go to a church or court and do "white weding"
and then, you appear to your dad with big belle. The man will praise you?
Okay, your fiance carries his dad and people to your father's house and pays bride price and a ceremony is done and then,
you appear to your dad with big belle, won't the man celebrate? That is common sense...

Scriptures: When was the church called "the bride of Christ"?

Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.

Answer as in every scriptures: After he paid the costliest bride price; with his own blood.
Please you see Dear, I no dey involve myself with that kind of "debates". I depend on the Scriptures; the manual
of life to live my life not to please anyone but God alone.
Search the scriptures and you will not see in the OT, where wedding took place in a synagogue or NT where it took
place in a "church". Jesus or his apostles did not wed anybody. They were invited
guests at the wedding in Cana (a village) in Galilee. In my own case, you saw "my pastor and wife"
as witnesses at the registry. They and the church members were there from Paying bride price to
reception and till we left that city. If wearing white is your issue, did you not see me wear white gown?
But the most important garment is that of righteousness every Christian wears in the spirit (Rev. 19:8)
I do not have anything against people who find it
convenient to celebrate weddings in churches. But nne, know when you are married inugo?
I have see married couples turn to murderers of kids all because they "have not worn white and gone to church".
And after the abortions, they go to church to chant empty murderous songs to "which God?" 😯😯😯😯

I have never said that I have "small breasts". I remember saying that I have "average breasts"
My vital statistics are; Before wedding: 38:25:42 and after wedding: 37:28:44. You should know if
that is your definition of "small". What makes a Christian stand out is character.
I like the way God made me fearfully and wonderfully and I am not going to change any of them.
There is time to play and time to talk seriousness. I know that you are so fascinated about breasts
and I pray that you do not meet your demise because of breasts. 😊😊😊

Finances: Let me tell you, if you do not budget, you are bound to fail. You are bound to be in financial
troubles. Yes, I made budgets and stuck to it. I do not allow myself to spend above my means or waste money
unnecessarily. My entire wedding cost less than 450k, including everything we wore, the rings, the shoes, the
clothes, the ceremonies etc. What even made it up to that were the few items I bought in foreign currency
during my trips. If I am to do it all over again, I will buy everything (jewelries, shoes) right here in Nigeria.
I shared my stories. I did not promise to hide the imperfections. I hope that those that genuinely chose to learn
will build on mine and make theirs better. Suffice it to say that this wedding was more than a decade ago. Naira has
      lost some value since then.

Hebrews 12:2 LOOKING UNTO JESUS the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Let me tell you, the criticism make me love this blog 😊😊😊😊
Naija girls are my friends and I will always tell them my truthful yarns.
When I began writing these, I knew the things I could have withheld but no,
I dropped them as they happened for I am not a Pharisee (hypocrite). One thing
you should genuinely learn from my story and what I tell my daughters; when your time comes
to be in courtship with anyone, bring the person home. Whatever you can't do in front
of us your parents, do not ever do that outside for that is the definition of "wrong".
I was in my aunties house most of the time I was in courtship and everything I and my fiance
did was in her sitting room when she was in that house and she is stricter than my mom.
She knew every movement I made. That woman was my de-facto mother mainly because when
my own mom wanted me to marry (because of status) whom I did not like, she stood by me. If you are among the "gang"
that steal out to meet men in hotels and in their houses, when the deed is done, no one will know
where you are or what happened to you. We read one sad tale in Owerri hotel yesterday.

1 Corinthians 5:12 What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? ARE YOU NOT TO JUDGE THOSE INSIDE? 13God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”

I saw your comment on this blog for the first time yesterday when you attacked me like bees and shot all the arrows. Thank you very much.😊😊😊
The moment you identify yourself as a Christian (perhaps chant "Jesus" on a post) and in the next post, begin to glorify sexual immorality and vanities, I will flash the Scriptures (what you call judgment). Such a person is a hypocrite (Pharisee). I will advise you to read The chapter 1 Corinthians 5 where the above quote came from and see that sexual immorality was the subject.
I do not comment here to please anybody. I will always stand for the truth and speak it the way it is. Your criticisms make my days

    34. If everyone is saying the same thing about you then you need to check yourself, there is something you are doing wrong even though your intention maybe right.

To preach the gospel, one needs a lot of wisdom and maturity which I think you lack.

Stop the judging and shouting naija girls this and that all over the blog, it is so annoying. You can pass your message without all those silly talk.I call it silly because it is childish and unnecessary.

Pass your message and stop acting like you are better than others or even mocking them. Even if you are, no need showing off.

Maybe when you change your modus operandi I will be a fan but for now, your choice of words and presentation is a total turn off for me.

  4. Luke 18.

9 Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: 10 “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not like other people—cheaters, sinners, adulterers. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! 12 I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ 14 I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

I'm your sister's church member, and I'm also going to attest to the kind of mental, academic, spiritual and career growth I've learnt from that church. You can't imagine how better a human being I am compared to before I started listening to sermons from there. I know I'm created for exploits.
Thing is, everyone goes to where they feel is home for them. That coza is a vision that is meant to cater for some Christians, not everybody likes melancholic worship type. Don't box GOD into a corner, HE is too great for that.
I have seen drug addicts change in that church, I have seen really gangsta guys become christ-minded.
Maybe if you can just look beyond the hearsays and talk to your sister. See reason with what she has learnt from there
