Activist Deji Adeyanju Tenders Apology To Buhari Over His 'Nigerian Youths Are Lazy' Comment.

Adeyanju Deji, human rights activist, has tendered an apology to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adeyanu, a staunch critic of the Buhari-led administration, gave the apology on his official Twitter page on Sunday.

Giving reasons for his apology, Adeyanju wrote: “I want to apologize to President Buhari today for attacking him when he said Nigerian youths are lazy.
“Nigerian youths are not only lazy, they are the most hopeless youths in the world. They have no future and there’s no hope for them.”

  1. The truth is that, the youth aren't rising up to the occasion. If the energy used on social media fighting one another on the ongoing BBN is directed towards this administration, I believe by now we would have seen little improvement.

If a government refuse a court order not once or twice, it's the responsibility of the citizens to protest to register their grievances. But here it doesn't seem like happening any time soon. I don't know when this will all stop.

    6. @ Omeh, I replied your question perhaps an error occurred .

If he has no future and no hope for him and his cohorts, that is his problem. He cannot dictate how people react to situations. Several Youths are not taking him serious again, he is losing credibility thereby not getting money from activism like before. I remembered vividly during the #RevolutionNow protest by Sowore when Deji said that he was very busy and won't be able to partake, how many people dragged him?? That he is expecting something from the Youths and not getting it doesn't mean that he should be bitter about it. The Youths chose to be distracted by the BB show and some activities , fine, for their sanity, they should be.
The state of things in this Country is very pathetic and if one is not careful, ehn, na ti commit suicide.
Nigerian Youths are not lazy, majority of the Youths are very hardworking. The Buhari that Deji is apologising to got several things on a platter of gold, several privileges to last him and maybe his family members their entire life .

  7. I think many youths are intellectually lazy and hopeless because when Buhari made that comment, the word "lazy" did not surface. It's the media people and the likes of Deji that deliberately misconstrued that statement.

When lightning struck 36 cows in Ondo, intellectually lazy youths on sdk said the "gods" are angry because the cows desecrated a sacred land. Even prominent people trumpeted that narrative. Whereas lightning has been killing animals in every other places in the world. 323 reindeer got struck in Norway, almost 30 cows was struck dead in Texas, right inside the farmer's land, also in Missouri and other places. There's even a video on YouTube. Scientists have since found explanations for that sad incident.

I now understand why Deji said youths are hopeless. As for me, I'm not hopeless. I read news from different sources and make my own decisions

  10. Yes! Some Naija youths are very very lazy indeed.
Look at how some youths revisited a long forgotten unresolved case of the death of a new born baby girl.
Do Naija youths have the time and brain for that intelligent stuff?
This BBN should be used as a case study or yardstick to measure the intelligence and where the heart of some of youths is centre.
Sometimes I just wonder if Naija would ever be liberated from suffering and opression, when the people that are supposed to rise up to the challenge are distracted by mundane things.
Someone said " Ban Bbn". Clap for yourself. I tell you, if our leaders see anything else that will distract the youths more, and remove their(youths) attention from them and governance, they would gladly endorce it.
God help Nigeria and Her Youths to redirect their minds&time to better things🙏

  11. The main issue is social media which is a major distraction to the youth. Before social media the youth had no option but to focus on issues in their immediate environment now the outlet is to vent and troll on faceBook, instagram or Twitter and get distracted easily.
