Amebo Column - Another Gist On Female Boss..

I have another gist on Female Boss......

I worked with one who never liked me because i would not do what others did.

On her arrival, as a foodie, she carries a truckload of food in coolers and packs. I would watch her driver struggling to carry them all at a go! She would sit in her office and be surrounded by my colleagues with one brushing her hair, another wearing her bracelet, earrings and necklace, another could be cleaning off the nail polish to reapply a fresh paint on it. One would help put her legs in her flats so she could move within her office in a more comfy state.

Even the guys at my office were not left out o. She would send them on errands like slaves without tfare and still show entitlement when they arrive.

If she doesn't like you like this, no promotion can ever be in sight o! Infact her own wickedness is that she smiles alot o! So you would never really know she hates your guts.

She was also very tribalistic and liked to relate with staff from well to do homes.

If she figures any middle class girl was getting close to a male staff who is above middle class, she would openly embarrass the girl and ask he
r to pick from the list of middle class male staff. She would even call out their names in front of all.
Her committee of flies were her informants.

If you offend one of them, just prepare for war on madam's arrival.

A male staff jokingly asked one of her entourage if madam was crippled that the girl was always helping her brush her hair?!

The girl told madam, guy was posted to a horrible branch far from civilisation for a year!

Imagine her asking a grown man, what does your father do! Are your parents based here or where exactly?. Were you born in Nigeria?. There is a kind of look she give when asking these questions. It was more like trying to size you up in her own way.
Even HR would never ask you these questions during any interview.

The moment she finds out 'na packaging or hustling' she grows cold towards you instantly.

She doesn't sit daily in her office as she attends meetings all over but with the manner in which she showed laziness and entitlement considering she doesn't own the company o! I just kept it simple and polite.

I was denied my promotion twice and when i found out it was her doing, I intensified prayers. She came one day saying some people want to kill her so they can take her place. Everyone looked in my direction when she deliberately made eye contact with me.

I just knew my days were numbered. I would never eat any pastries she sends to the office on fridays. Who knows if that's where the mind controller was. It was as though I was the only one who was not a puppet in the entire place. It was really a strange experience.

  3. I am a female boss myself. I did not have any qualms working under one. In fact having escaped rape, I am more comfortable with females. If they are "bad," then, that is where patience, kindness and indeed strength of character will prevail.

But as for the plenty of vixens on this blog who attack and shoot arrows and lock up people in hell without winking, they all will do worse than the female bosses we've been
    reading here. 😊😊😊
Imagine how some women treat their house helps/domestic servants. Imagine how they dish out insults?
Or how they arrest any man that is couching at their corridors, drag in and fork? 😯😯😯
So you can imagine the predicaments of the male staff under them.
If you cannot be kind to a baby in your womb, but shoot him off, how can you be kind to your staff? How about those that give their husbands "fanned cold slaps" and come here to confess how they began using their mouths after he
returned by batter hot slaps? 😊😊😊
    Ajuju n'ese okwu ooo

    2. Human beings generally are terrible. Make bosses want to sleep with the female staff and female wants to boss everyone around. It must be something in the Nigerian water we drink.

If a guy talks, they will say he is sexist and can’t handle a woman being a boss. I worked with a woman one time and she had this mentality of ‘because I am a woman’ and was such a pain in the ass. I watched her and noticed that all she wanted was praise and acknowledgement so I started singing her praise and every time hyping her that she is smart.

This woman started buying me stuffs and giving me extra money. Every time someone needed something, I’d say only FDS can do it even though I can do it or I should call and ask for permission first before doing it. I don’t know how women can handle women boss but men should be able to handle them well.

Say things like ‘Aunty/Mummy, you are looking nice today’. The Aunty/Mummy have cancel her defense mechanism to think you want to toast her.

Say ‘Thank God for you o, we wouldn’t have been able to solve that issue’

Say ‘Did you school abroad ma because Nigerian schools can’t teach what you know o’

Say ‘You should be the CEO o, we won’t be having some issues in this office’

No matter how crazy she is, she will calm down. Gas weyrey up so that she will let you see road.

Aren't you an example of those if they are bosses, nobody should talk? You aren't a boss here and you are already complaining that someone aired her opinion?

      "Disgustingly sick?"
      Wawu! what a name!
Everything is correlated to this talk o
We are talking about "love, empathy, mutual relationships, healthy working environment etc."
So if you do not have these attributes for your loved ones -husband, fetus, child, house helps etc
Then you will not have it for your subordinates and bosses at work.
Igbotago kita -do you understand now?
      Thanks for your insults inugo?

  9. i had a female boss. she was so rude, She was lazy and was not fair, so much of favouritism. she favoured the guys over the ladies in the office. she felt that the guys were going to cover her ass, if anything goes wrong. my boss was so lazy that she would send her driver to buy her sanitary pad in the pharmacy just directly in front of the office. shes the one who would distract us with the latest jist when we are working. at the end she fell out with the guys that were her paddies. i l;earnt that a document got missing and she was giving a query to explain what happened. she roped the guys in.
i was just smiling in swahili, the guys felt that after all they did for her, she repaid them back by almost getting them into trouble.
the woman hated me so much, i just ensured that i did my job well to avoid any wahala with her. at the end , the head office discovered that she could not manage the office. a new female boss was brought in. she was transferred from the lagos island branch to ikeja branch and she lives in Awoyaya. my happiest day was when she left. she tried being my friend after she was transferred. i avoid her with a 60 m distance now o.

  14. My female boss was too bitchy for my liking. Very manipulative somebody!. I don't know if it was because she had children for a married man or because she couldn't get a man to marry her. Anyways I showed her pepper. I just couldn't see myself licking her ass like my other colleagues..always doing her biding and saying yes to her requests. Very desperate woman. She tried her best to paint me bad but she failed.

  15. Some boss are really terrible!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Being a shitty boss is not gender specific. People have this mentality that female bosses are horrible, bossy and whatnot. I've never worked under a woman, my last boss was male and the current one is also male. But let it be known that I'd rather work under a woman who is terrible and controlling than randy, married men who desperately want to see the color of your lace panties. It is a wa thing. That one na story for another day.

  17. Sorry but your boss wasn't normal. And it had nothing to do with "being a woman". You yourself think am na. Where do you see someone just sitting down and turning the office into a free salon with staff giving her beauty treatment from nails to hair? And none of them saw anything wrong. You prayed on your own and she said you wanted to kill her.

Lol. Better go and thank God that you survived working for a marine thing posing as a human being.

  19. My male boss sacked me because I sent him a forwarded message without adding sir and he told hr that I was not doing my job properly. Till now I can’t wrap my head around it. I feel like I’m a failure because despite good grades from school, I can’t get a good job.

  20. On the contrary, I had a female boss and she was all shades of nice, industrious and even covered me when I had to travel for my sister's intro...... and still is from testimonies of others that are still working there.

  21. I have worked with female bosses for most of my career, they can be difficult but I learnt to manage them. Currently I'm a female boss and I blow hot and cold , depending on the situation. Some subordinates are a handful and you need to be firm with them to get the work done. I can be jovial to a fault but I know when to draw the line. I tell my staff it's nothing personal but it's to ensure the job gets done. My previous bosses are now my friends and they have my back in the organisation. My current boss is a woman and I have also learnt to manage her.

  23. My female boss is the best boss you could ever wish for. She is exceptionally intelligent and she doesn't listen to side talks. Whereas our direct boss who is a Male is the opposite of her.
