Many have lost lives and properties in the process and it is time for our government to consider this matter as URGENT and address it...

What can do the government of Nigeria do to stop this sad trend? What is the Origin? What is your view on this?

    1. Our government is the cause of all these. Outside world have seen how Fulani herdsmen can go to Farmers houses, kill them all and go Scot free. Bokoharam can kill civilians and go Scot free. So they are not afraid of anything. One thing is sure, no sinners shall go unpunish.

Can our Government evacuate and rehabilitate Nigerians living in SA? These people are bitter and frustrated and I don't see them changing. Boycotting shoprite and the likes may not be effective, let the Government help our people to come back amd save them from these beasts in human form.

    4. I didn't realize south africans are lazy blokes, blaming others for their misfortune. They need to be told their story, we spent our "oyel" money on them. Instead of learning how to prosper, they are passing blames.

Trust tweeter people they have dragged her today. Even Banky, all of them started tweeting after Hush called them out. I'm just sad, how can Africans be treating one another as animals. Shame

  5. They know our government will do nothing that is why they have the guts to single us out for attacks. If we have a government who will treat their fuckup, will they sneeze around us? They are bitter that we are taking jobs their lazy ass men won't do, they're bitter that we are contributing to their economy, they're bitter that we are paying tax in their country? Is that not ironic?
They're so quick to forget our contributions to their apartheid struggle, they're so quick to forget that we contribute even more than them to MTN, dStv and shop rite. They're so quick to forget.
Boycott all their services if you can, I'm not paying any dStv subscription from this month till further notice, I'll start usingthat 18k to flex and buy more data for my Netflix. No more shop rite...more shopping complexes are springing up on a daily basis and I kukukma don't use MTN.
What is our minister doing apart from writing letters? The Senate needs to sit on this issue ASAP. They keep doing this and with each one they get away with, their boldness increases. This needs to be addressed by our leaders before more lives are lost.

    1. My dear, the reason South Africans behave the way they do towards other African countries is that, during the apartheid era, the apartheid government prevented them from knowing anything going on in the rest of Africa

The government controlled the media and prevented South Africans from knowing that their fellow African states were fighting on their behalf

They appear ungrateful but it is not intentional
It stems from the fact that they are ignorant of what their African brothers and sisters did for them

    2. The irony is that these black South Africans who have refused to develop mentally do not attack the whites who are foreigners too, they worship the indians,Chinese, etc they are a bunch of dicks!!

  6. See results of all the evil seeds sown.

When we don't love ourselves, how then can we get love?

Thing is when this first started, it mainly affected one side. The FG did nada. Now, it's like a free for all. Way out of hand.
Wonder what they would do now.

Even read they shut the Nigeria Embassy doors on affected Nigerians.

    2. Very wrong approach, majority working in this companies are Nigerians why some of us are not getting this point is what I don't understand. It is unfortunate we don't have communities dominated by South Africans that could be open to attack. May be closing down their embassy here could send a message to them.

Only if we can start sending them back.... From Mtn to shoprite. We accommodate them here and butcher Nigerians over there. If Africans can be treating each other like this what more other continents.💔💔

  11. Let the truth be told, Nigeria has cultivated a generation of criminally minded youths in recent times.
This certainly is borne out of the hardship that has been prevalent in the country in the past 10 or more years.
The dearth of gainful employment, has been the bane of the Nigerian youth during the said period.
The fall out of the above, has been the upsurge of cyber crimes, armed robbery and wealth by voodoo means.
The people on whom these illegal activities are meted on cannot be questioned as to how they get their pound of flesh back.
The shortest way out of this is for the Nigerian youths to change their ways and secure gainful employment and forgo this criminal activities.
The South African people, from their historical antecedents has been a people that has been submerged in violence and intolerance because of their apartheid experience.
I suggest the Nigerian youths in South Africa should as a matter of urgency quit South Africa in their own interest and stay off that country for a long time.
As for the government of our nation, I want to tell them that they are wallowing in ignorance and disgrace. In every other part of the world, no nation would encourage their youths to go to another county and suffer great humiliation or death because of a desire to make a living which which is the desire to every right thinking youth in any part of the world.
The Nigerian government is to blame for all of these. They better do something soon to curb this failure or prepare for a revolution.

  13. The root of it all is ignorance and self hate.

It is extremely tragic and saddening that the same people who have suffered the indignity of discrimination on grounds as simple as skin color will turn around and penetrate that on their fellow brother. If that is not self hate, i don't know what is.

For whatever reason, South Africans insist they are 'separate' and better than the rest of Africa.

The idea of immigrants overtaking the locals and stealing their shine push these self haters to butcher and burn people. This is beyond evil and South Africa will never again be supported with my coin.

  14. I work with a multinational that has an office in S.A. Our regional Financial Controller (an Italian) loves coming to Nigeria but hates SA because they are lazy according to him. This confirms the allegation that the hatred for Nigerians is because they are doing better than them. When you bring it home in South South the 'settlers' are doing better than the natives because they are ready to work and make money. If you have ever lived and worked in Rivers, Akwaibom (Ibono), and recently Bayelsa (because of NCDMB) you will understand this issue better. It will not end because they sell their land to you and you convert it into a thriving business and you become an enemy. The best thing is for Nigerians to abandon S.A like Warri was abandoned by the oil majors. They will start begging you to come and invest.

This reason must also not be ruled out. Lots of lazy Nigerians just wants quick money, and most do their criminal activities in SA, and their new home now is Ghana.

  25. The Nigerian Government is very less concern about the ware-fair of her citizens. A country that is so unbothered about her citizens, these issues with South Africa has been lingering for long, is time the Government comes in to put an end to this inhuman and wickedness. For how long would they continue to kill our own. And to think some of them work and have huge investments here and no one is bothering them. God help us.

  26. SA youths particularly their men are LAZY and even their indigenes confirm it. They want the good life but prefer to idle around, blaming hard working Nigerians for their fate. Why can't the sell apples, converse etc like humble Nigerians and other Africans rather than do drugs and have sex all day, thinking their country is 'America' and everyone owes them a living. Even the whites who built the country worked very hard and still do. Can they go to the white quarters? Of course not, the whites will blow their heads off with guns and they know that so they prey on their fellow Africans, particularly Nigerian whom they hate and envy vengefully.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You need to fix up your argument. No whites built the country, it is the Blacks who labored under one of the worst form of slavery and oppression that the world has ever seen even into modern times that built the nation. I do not think they are lazy I think they are for the most part under a deep psychosis that will take generations to resolve. This is why Africa should protect Africans at all cost and make it more difficult for outsiders to set up in Africa. Africans are still paying the price today for centuries of wickedness enacted by outsiders who deemed Africans as savages and treated them worse that they treated their house dogs. These South African ppl are treating Nigerians evil, but they were programmed to hate themselves and everything black. Because blackness has no value in no place outside of Africa, the only place in the world black ppl can have value, allowed to thrive and live in peace is in Africa, but even Africa has forgotten who she is, her worth and her purpose to her children.

      Delete
    2. The whites built SA, abeg. Without their direction, what could those creatures that apparently know only sex and silly violence have come up with other than a crass jungle.

      Delete
  27. Do we have a government? Since the start of this xenophobic attacks, the SA ambassador to Nigeria has never been called at least to register displeasure in happenings there. Or re call our Ambassador to protest. Does Bubu understand this?

Bubu is not in charge and those in charge lack ideas on what to do. This is going to reverberate in every country of the world; kill a Nigerian and nothing happens. This equally shows that it was Idiagbon that was the strong man and not Buhari. How many lives to be lost to trigger action from herdsmen to this in SA?

    I miss OBJ.

When you and the cabal is interested only in cattle, Islam and who heads NNPC, every body and every thing can burn to ashes, even the country. One is not surprised by lack of action and leadership.

  28. can't our people leave south africa and come back?our government are not ready to even address the matter on ground.

  29. Stella, it was never funny!

One thing I have seen upon the earth and throughout history is that every oppressed group eventually becomes the oppressor. Once they get wealth and power to a degree the first thing they will do is to oppress. If an opppressed group does no oppression it is only because they do not yet have the power to do so, but as the sun must rise I do see not one group who has been able to rise above this and treat ppl well. Hurt ppl, hurt ppl. I do not even want to visit South Africa for tourism purposes, goodluck to those seeking their fortunes in desolate places.

  30. This has been happening since many years, nothing has been done yet😰😰😰

  31. I am a Nigerian lady living in Johannesburg with my family.
The current violence is criminal actions disguised as xenophobia. Thugs and hoodlums are stealing, looting and destroying all in the guise of attacking foreign-owned shops and in the process, even South African citizen's properties are not spared.
Yes, there are South Africans who do not like foreigners (its not only Nigerians) but Nigerians are also not 'saints' in the recent spate of events. Specific areas are targeted in these violence and the targeted areas are usually places where drug peddling are rife. Any mention of street drug peddling is associated with Nigerians (although other nationals are also involved but Nigeria has taken the 'reputation' of being the drug dealers here in SA).
This instance is a case of "I invite someone into my house, he comes to my house and sells drugs to my son, starts trafficking my daughter into prostitution and at the same time scamming my family through the internet fraud (those are the things some Nigerian youths engage in here in SA). Obviously, the owner of the house will get tired one day and say 'Enough" and boot you out in order to protect his family. Whilst I understand the grievances of the affected South Africans, the way and manner they are reacting is however a wrong way of addressing the issue.
Nothing justifies the current violence but we all should know that this particular outburst is more of a criminal act than xenophobia.
