    2. Have one child, at the maximum.

My parents had 4 and my mom was widowed in her 40s so she had to do everything on her own.

She was amazing but I don't ever want to have that much responsibility.

    1. I wish mine had separated and stayed separated. Sick and twisted individually - true soulmates. Imagine the havoc they created together.

Stupid idiot me, I was praying and fasting for them to get back together after they separated "cos I didn't want to be from a broken home". They got back together and I overheard them plan to kill someone shortly after. I didn't realise till this year the gravity of what I heard. The only explanation for their intended victim escaping their plot is a miracle. Instead, my father died in the incident that they set up to look like a "very unfortunate accident". Now, if I see any situation that I think I don't like, I ask God first what He is saying about it. Can't be asking God to endanger innocent people because I'm not sensitive to clearly see who is who.

  26. I won't get married into a family that doesn't love me.. I would put my present family first before the extended ones. I would start investing in my youth, so that I can have what to fall back on, in rainy days.

  27. My parents hated each other with so much passion even till date.
As such there was transfer of aggression unto us the children. My mum tried so much to shield us from the trauma, but most times, she couldn't. My childhood was filled with so much misery

I don't want to be like my parents who were always angry and abusive.I don't want to fail as a parent. My children deserve all the love, care and the attention I never had as a child.

  34. I will protect my children and build the best relationships with them so they will confide in me when they need to. My children will leave the house everyday with a very healthy self-esteem; i will be their biggest cheerleader and they will know it. I will not marry as 4th wife. I will save for my children (already doing this) and leave them an inheritance. No child of mine will be a retirement plan, God forbid.

  36. I will love my kids,be their bestfriend but I will never let Dem feel entitled or too dependent on me...ain't gonna raise no spoilt kids expecially my first kid,he/she will be taught very early how to be a leader at all times.

  37. I will not play divide and conquer with my children. And I will rather not have children than compete with them. My mother is a pathologically envious woman and she even began envying me. Rather than guide me as I grew, she always set me up to fail. My father, another authoritative figure who was supposed to step in, did nothing. I had to and I am still raising myself.

  38. I will send my children to school abroad if I have the money. My parent had the money but did not send us to have our education abroad even when all their friends were doing so. Until now, they believed in the “Naija go better” stuff.

  39. Save some money for my burial. That way my kids won't be financially stressed when I'm gone.
