Mrs Dee's Corner - Failed Family Planning....

There's nothing more daunting and disappointing for a woman than when she gets pregnant unexpectedly even after using adequate precautionary measures.

It can leave her feeling depressed, angry and disoriented. Even the man of the house is not spared. He feels burdened by another mouth to feed and accruing more responsibilities . This in itself puts a strain between the couple as they apportion blame on one another and this can hurt the family bond of love.

I've done the Copper T type of family planning that is inserted into the uterus and even my husband still uses protection. But I've told myself that I'll go for another insertion after two years even though it's meant to last for ten years. I don't want to hear any pregnancy news for myself again.

If you have had to deal with an unplanned baby and the stress it comes with then you would Understand my fears and why i dont want this to happen to me......

*Story............. i have a friend who did this and it failed..She has two babies added to her four all becos the Uterus protection she used, failed...Dont be too sure my dear, especially f the gbenshing is constant....lol

  3. Lol. Nothinh is 100% certain apart from abstinence. The injection own makes someone add weight.. I think combining two plus counting fertile days should help. A lot of work I know.

  4. ..but bringing another child is even more work.

  8. There are some babies you can't do family planning for. When they want to come, they will just shoot out your belly like overdose, if you like take all the whole postinors or insert armourd cable in your punna , how it will come you will not know. Those babies are called alakoba and they are sent by the village people.lol

    4. They're not alakoba, please. My hubby came like that and he's a huge blessing to me. If he wasn't born, maybe my father-in-law would have been turning in his grave by now.

  9. I hope you know that that copper T can cause ectopic pregnancy and tubal rupture that can be deadly?
    Google it.
If it is not male or female condoms, I am not using anything that will be
injected or inserted into my body.
    If pregnancy comes, praise God.

  10. Is it true that a failed family planning can lead to multiple birth?

  11. I heard on a jingle that good family planning is to start trying for another baby after 2 years of birth. I used to think after 1 year was fine.

  13. Lol. Abeg... a lot of women who claim failed birth control skip their pills or delay on reeeing their injections. Make we hear abeg. That’s how my sil got married.

    1. My dear, the injection will wear off after three months only if u are lucky. It is one year now since my last injection and my period is just begining to get regular and the one I took they said is the lower dose of depo I regret ever taking it honestly

  15. None of the family planning I did suited my body system... I just jejely subscribe to the "billing method"!

    1. Billings method is the best. I know someone that used it to determine the sex of her children

  16. My hubby's parents' family planning no work, which is how he arrived. Talmabout they thought they have closed shop. I thank God everyday that they didn't abort him. That you didn't plan on having a child doesn't mean God agrees with you.

It's like y'all have not seen child that is determined to arrive. I've heard of a woman who drank some local concoction to remove pregnancy, e no gree comot. She went to reputable hospital, did D&C, pikin still no gree go.

And there's actually something more daunting and disappointing for a woman than unexpected pregnancy. It's called TTC.

    2. Anon 14:53 You're a foolish troll. I don't know if you were born this way or something went wrong with your development. But seriously, if you weren't so damaged in the brain and soul, you wouldn't be this obsessed with abortions. Go elsewhere and deal with your misplaced guilt about the abortions you've refused to confess you did. I am not you. So, leave my precious daughters out of your crap; you twisted sicko!

  17. I heard two shocking stories in church about family planning. Apparently, there are some tribes/families that it's a taboo to go for family planning. Of course as Christians we should be above the taboos right? Sadly one of the women ignored the taboo and did the FP but lost her life and the other woman ran mad. Abeg, I'm still trying to reconcile this, if I didn't hear these stories in church, I wouldn't have believed them. Is it possible? Has anyone else ever heard about something like this or experienced it?

    1. Oh please! Any decision a woman makes for herself is seen as a taboo. They probably jazz their bodies intentionally, like a form of magun. And call it tradition. So the women in their families can be used as breeders

  18. Must everything be left for women. Na us go get painful period, long pregnancy, child birth pain, then we have to deal with family planning too. The least a man can do is get a Vasectomy, afterall I did all the work carrying the kids we have. You can help out by preventing more.

  19. my hubby comes from a place where family planning is forbidden, after i had my son i told him its either we use cd or no sex at all...because I'm not done taking care of my son yet not to talk of another...its almost 2years now and CD to the rescue

  24. my fomer landlady have 5 children 3 boys and 1 girl, her last born is already 4 plus before we noticed she is pregnant. I was like ths woman is strong oh not know it was a failed family planning. She had to open us to us that her family planning failed during our gist oneday. Women are really trying.

  25. With all these problem ,women will still not support themselves in issues relating to their health;rather than allowing men to determine their life for them

  26. My husband won’t let me do family planning, I have convinced him several times but he wouldn’t listen, he said i should wait till I have all the kids we planned for before I do any family planning. we abstain from sex during my fertile periods and it’s working for us.
