Musa Wada has defeatedSenator Dino Melaye and others to emerge the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State. Wada trashed a strong field that included a serving senator, Dino Melaye and former Kogi Governor, Idris Wada.

The Chairman of the governorship primary election committee, Ahmadu Fintiri, disclosed the development on Wednesday, September 4, in Lokoja. Fintiri told reporters that

 Mr Wada emerged by polling 748 votes to beat 12 other aspirants.
 Abubakar Ibrahim, polled 710 votes.
Former Governor Idris Wada came third with 345.
Senator Melaye polled a meagre 70 votes

Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, 55 votes
Victor Adoji, 54.
 Erico Ahmeh, 42;
Salihu Atawodi, 11;
Mohamed Shaibu, 4;
Bayo Averehi, 2;
Emmanuel Omebije, 9 votes.
Only female aspirant – Grace Adejoh – received no votes.

In his reaction, Mr Melaye
who spoke through his agent, Femi Obalemo,expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct and the outcome of the election and said that he would appeal the decision of the committee.
He claimed that the winner was allowed ”to bring over 600 votes from his house”. Furthermore, Melaye alleged that the committee accepted the votes and counted them in his favour.

  11. Politicians are too selfish, the pdp know that dino will beat yahaya anytime on the polls, why don’t you give him the ticket? Now Wada bought the party members on the primary, can he get the majority votes in the general election? Now committee will be setup to plead with Dino to support the candidate which he will eventually do because he don’t have option.
    I weep for this useless country, a definition of a failed state!!

    Just Krix!

    1. Engr. Musa Wada will be one of the best things to happen to Kogi state, he is a vibrant Civil Engineer , very hardworking, diligent, etc. The Kogi People are blessed already.
      With or without Dino's support , Musa Wada will defeat Yahaya Bello. When you talk of brilliance, progress, Engr. Wada , is it.
