Xenophobia - Nigerians In Large Numbers Register To Return Home From South Africa

Following the approval by the Federal Government that any Nigerian that is willing to return home should indicate interest, more than 300 Nigerians have reportedly registered for evacuation from the country due to Xenophobic attacks.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ferdinand Nwonye, on Friday, September 6, 2019, disclosed that over 300 Nigerians had registered for the exercise, adding that the time and date of departure would be announced soon.

  1. Good, I applaud anyone trying to find a better way of life than Nigeria..but when it has to do with ones life. It's a deal breaker for me. I hope things turn out well for them and their families.

    3. The only thing the Nigerian government is doing is arranging travel certificates cos a lot of Nigerians in SA have expired passports. Which the Air Peace guy discovered when he tried to evacuate them. It's really not a Nigerian government initiative.

Many of these people are meant to be in Nigeria but personal pride, genuine concerns for their own welfare and thoughts of "What will people say?" won't let them be great. Unfortunately, some things are not about you. If you're reading this and you know you're in the wrong geographic location even if it makes sense logically, better agree with God and pack your bag jeje before it takes something like this to take you to where you're supposed to be.
