BBNaija Host Ebuka Explains Why Housemate Tacha Was Disqualified From The Reality Show.

Big Brother, BBNaija host, Ebuka, has opened up on Tacha’s disqualification from the ‘pepper dem’ reality show.

Tacha was disqualified following a violence that broke out between herself and arch-rival, Mercy, on Friday, 27th September.

Her disqualification sparked an uproar....

Ebuka in an interview with Beat FM, said the self-acclaimed ‘Portharcourt first daughter was bound to be disqualified, even before she pulled Mercy’s hair.

According to him, when Tacha pushed and shoved Mercy, her disqualification was already done.

He said, ”When Tacha shoved and pushed Mercy, I think that was when it was done, even before the hair-pulling.

” I am talking about the fight that started at the kitchen. Big Brother had called them to the kitchen to simmer down the situation, but the fight got even worse.

”So way before the hair was pulled, there was already contact. With violence like that, it is hard to say, because Big Brother is very clear on that. You don’t put your hands on someone. If you allow a shove and push, tomorrow it becomes a punch.”

When asked why Mercy was not disqualified, Ebuka said, ”I don’t know. Like I said, I don’t make these decisions. But what Mercy did was flip her hair, which you could see was contact, but there are other sides to it.

”Like was it intentional? I don’t know. Was it physically going to harm her? I don’t know either.

”I don’t know what the reason was for not disqualifying Mercy as well but she got two strikes. I guess that’s what they felt the weight of what she did carried.”

      Mercy had 2 hair flips= 2 strikes. Tacha had 2 shoves and 2 hair pulls= 4 strikes.
We all know what happens when strikes are more than 3..

    1. Yes top. But she would hv not won. He confirmed dat. I listened to the interview too 😂😂😂

    2. But she wasn't that bad except the script she took into the house. Tboss script didn't make ceecee win. Efe's script didn't make omashola win. Mina script didnt work for Ghadoni. Sometimes viewers want something new. I also feel they all agreed to emphasize the good things about her since already she's been disqualified. Both all housemates and Ebuka. No need kicking someone already down. In fact i like this set. No beefs and no pulls. Just maturity.

      Delete
    3. Spot on, NIB. Plus the whole thing was even started by her.

      Delete
    4. Point of correction @NIB Tacha is not already down and can never be down. BBN is not the criteria for determining One's success in life. Tacha is at the top of her career.

      Delete
    5. @prettyjene, kicking someone already down is an idiom, a figure of speech. Not here to fight.

      Delete
    6. I reject that for Tacha prettyjene. Top of her career with just one endorsement and one appearance at a major event? Please she’s just starting and there’s a lot more ahead for her.

      Delete
    7. My dear I wish her well in her endeavours and pray she keeps soaring higher and higher. I want the best for her that's why I used the term "top of her career".

  12. Let me help Ebuka answer the question of why Mercy wasn't disqualified.
Tacha had a history of physical and verbal abuses (With mike, frodd, joe, and ike) which she had been warned several times. She shoved mercy twice and pulled her hair twice. That wasn't something to be overlooked. You and overlook it if it happened once not when physical contact happened FOUR times!
Secondly, Tacha had been warned by Big brother about her bragging to staying till the 99th day as none of the HMs were promised a spot at the finals. She didn't take heed. She even came up sometime worse, No leave no transfer. Because na her papa get big brother house abi?

  15. I said it. Tacha cup don full. Biggie was just trying to manage her bad character. Mercy is not the cause for her down fall.
Tacha already hit other house mates
    Tacha is a loud mouth
    She does not win games
    Not smart
    Insult people everywhere and everyday
Telling abuka Y has two branches and a tail! Who does dat when asked a question.
Biggie called u! U said. Same questions everyday. Who says dat.????
Common individual task she cnt win.
Thank God she left becos our young girls would hv thought that manner she displayed was all good and fine.

Stella finish the interview biko. Ebuka was asked if she did not leave. Would she have won??? He said tacha vote was always crazy but mercy votes is always high few times she was up. So titians. Lambo will still finish her off even if she reach final.

  17. I feel that Biggie's thought process was this. Mercy had 2 hair flips = 2 strikes. Tacha had 2 shoves plus 2 hair pulls = 4 strikes which is disqualification.
Besides, hair flip sef is not the same as putting your hands on someone. That is more violent. Let's be honest the verdict was fair.

    1. There's no fairness in that judgement cos Ike was issued a strike for threatening to harm someone earlier in the show. A Lady picks up an iron to physically hit a fellow housemate after flipping her hair in the other's face on two occasions, pls complete this your maths.

      Delete
    2. But mercy also shoved tacha after tacha did that.so long as mercy didn’t walk away and shoved tacha back, same rules should apply

      Delete
    3. Prettyjene was there fairness in your judgment when you told Mike supporters not to enrich an already rich man? A man who willingly entered a show with hopes of winning like everyone else. He never said he was better than everyone in the house neither did he ever mention that he can pay any of his fellow housemates, yet you called his supporters fool. I ask you again Was that a fair judgement on your part?

      Delete
    4. @prettyjene, good point. Now let me counter. First, I didn't watch Ike's altercation but a verbal threat to harm is a crime (misdemeanor) as it puts one in fear and danger of future bodily injury. If it was verbally expressed, even first amendment (freedom of speech) law does not protect you.

Now to the issue at hand, 'intent to harm' cannot be proven in a court of law. It's not the same as actual harm. The prosecutor must prove that her intent was to use the iron on her opponent. Remember, all she did was pick up an iron and no words were said. What if babe just wanted to iron her clothes lol? (Now I'm cruising) Apart from that, Mercy's picking up the iron happened after assault from her opponent (2shoves and 2hairpulls) which can be argued as self defense. This is a good teaching point for law students.

Welcome to my Law Firm babe :) You're free to counter.

  20. I have no sympathy for people who waste their money on bbnaija. If thr show were so transparent, people would not have to keep clarifying so much. Anything nigerians touch turns to a scam because they can never walk the straight and narrow road to do things fairly and honestly. Ebuka and co put mike in the house...nobody said anything. Now they are signing him and his cigar company in the name of making moves. I just hope the big brother franchise doesn't pull the plug on bbnaija for rubbishing their show. Even bb africa seems more transparent than this garbage.

  21. Mercy has been given award by Biggie as the most strategic housemate. everything she did and said was strategic including her dressing, actions after Saturday parties and even dating Ike. Finally, she knew Tacha, after surviving a record 9 possible evictions was her only competition and possible threat to getting the money. She also knows Tacha to be temperamental. She didn't fight Tacha all the while. Strategically left it till she had immunity and the show was 1 week to go. She made sure to get Tacha out. And poor Ike was there giving her coins to buy immunity cos in his mind, he is strong. He even said when he was up with Mike he was so sure Mike would go. Like iit or not, flipping your hair in someone's face is nothing buyt violence too. Madam knew wetin she dey do. All na acting. Its all over now. I wish them all well.
Meanwhile, Tacha dey learn work thinking Jaruma is all that. now i believe it that Mercy na the ogbonge. No wonder when she was told Tacha had jazz her answer was where some people's jazz ends is where some other people's own starts. i salute.

    2. Prettyjene...my wish is for Tacha to do absolutely well and shock all these people. I am grateful for what happened to her in a way. She needed to learn to be humble and also winning with the Jaruma vibes would have enslaved her to the woman and made the woman to start acting like god. Life teaches the hard way sometimes. And also this made her to part ways with Jaruma. Being with someone like that is not good for her image. So, hopefully, she will bounce back strong.

    1. Good points. However, being strategic is not a crime. I don't watch BBN religiously but I believe as a housemate, you are FREE to have a strategy with an aim of either making the viewers love you enough to vote you whenever you are up, or the housemates love you enough not to put you up for eviction. If her dressing, her actions or love life were all a strategy, then wow, how smart this lady must be. To actually be focused enough to PURSUE THE REASON she came into the house in the first place. Be entertaining enough to make the viewers love her. And yet be loving enough to make her housemates not put her up for eviction everytime. What a genius! I believe her best strategic move was buying immunity that was UP for PURCHASE. Seeing that the first 2 housemates were evicted for low bet9ja coins, any smart housemate should have known that the said COINS and other twists (HOH and Ultimate veto) will play a huge role in this year's BBN, not votes alone. She figured it out and made that million dollar move that shook the world..

About the Tacha part, you would have had a point if Mercy actually started that fight. But she didn't. She didn't. So that point is invalid. I believe both ladies were even strategic enough to avoid each other all through, knowing they both had different vibes and temperaments and a clash could be brutal. And I applaud both ladies for putting this behind them and moving on. The show is over, life begins.
