Mrs Dee's Corner -Hard VERSUS E- Copy Of The Bible....

We rounded off the bible study in church and during questions and answers, I enumerated on the bible's importance in this day and time; easy accessibility.

The teacher didn't quite agree with me. He clearly stated that the bible installed on our phones and electronic devices lacked inspiration and could be a source of distraction. He said the best is the hard copy but i did not see reasons with him.

Why do we embrace technological developments in areas like health, banking and education but see it as blasphemous when it comes to the word of God?

We are in the era of electronic media and the print media is slowly wrapping up.

Before now, the bible was not in print but only written in scrolls and with ink, I guess the people of those age would consider our printing of the bible as abominable instead of a feat in development.

I am all for embracing every development that promotes ease and makes life better. One should not be favoured and the other seen as evil.

Hard or E-copy of the bible is OK as long as the purpose is to read the Bible and Understand......

  4. Psalms 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
James 1:22Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves.

    Did you see that?

The most important "Bible" is the Word of God hidden in your heart; in your spiritual body. For there is a spiritual body and there is a natural body (1 Cor. 15:44-47).
And how do we hide the Word of God in our heart?
Good ajuju: By meditation on the Word. Not just reading but thinking on it.
That is the only way a person can resist sin in the world. That is the only way a person can keep one's ways pure.
If you are not disciplined and you are reading it on your phone, and a business call comes in, will you answer it? Or a credit alert comes in
and the money is not complete, will you interrupt your reading to
call and drag? Ajuju n'ese okwu o 😊😊😊
It all depends on where your heart is; on earthly things or on things above.
But if you are to read your Scriptures as you know your heavenly father is talking to you and you switch off your phones or disable the
internet (i.e. you downloaded the offline bible), then you will be able to concentrate. Same happens inside the church.
Have you read your bible today?
Okwa ajuju n'ese okwu oo 😊😊😊😊🌹🌹➕

  6. Both are OK. You can't use ebible to fight the devil. That is why the word of God should always be on our hearts and mouth.

If you can quote well no problem.

Carry your Bible to fight not phone

  7. even the bible says,be ye transformed by the word and not conformed...out thinking or ways should always be transforming in line with the word of God

  8. I personally prefer e-bibles because I get to highlight verses and make notes that I can reflect on later. It really doesn't matter, as long as you have His words in you whether you read it on paper or phone.

  9. I think everyone should do what works for them. Some people focus better when reading hard copies. The most important thing is that the Bible reaches the heart and changes the person for good

  11. I have the Bible App on my phone but still prefer to carry my Bible Book to church. Whichever works for anyone, they're both OK to me.
    Nice one Mrs Dee.

  12. if e-Bible doesn't have God's inspiration, hence a should be discouraged, then why does the pastor send and receive SMS, chats and all instead of the formal letter sent via post office?
