  1. MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING

Your opinion is not worth much if you don’t clearly understand and respect opposing opinions. Progress is made by understanding, not by shouting, arguing, vilifying.

If the other side is being unreasonable, that’s no reason for you to be even more aggressively unreasonable. Instead, be aggressive in your efforts to create understanding.

Someone has to introduce understanding into the mix, then guide that understanding to cooperation and progress. Otherwise, nothing good will come of it.

Even the winner of an argument doesn’t really win if the disagreement remains unchanged. There’s no point in proving a point if it fails to result in agreement.

Mutual understanding is difficult. Yet with work, patience, genuine care, it is almost always possible.

By far, for everyone concerned, the best way forward is mutual understanding. Let go of your desire to win the argument, and seek instead the much bigger win of mutual understanding.

    3. Blessed are the rejected
To those who've been refused to be seen, acknowledged or loved, it's time to whisper a final goodbye. And every time that cord grows back, cut it off. You've changed. They haven't. Your heart is open. Theirs isn't. Your river is flowing and it's time to move on. Blood doesn't always mean family. No doesn't translate to never. Hold onto yourself, pray with reckless abandon to be truly free, and don't return to paths that don't deserve you.

This is one Trait that I want to improve on... I argue a bit...Especially when I know that am on the right track... I’ve grown to learn that people don’t like that trait in people.

I’m trying to be more of a Listener now

This is the reason I love BAMBAM, so much. Even when she’s upset, she doesn’t let her anger define the moment for her. Her type is so Rare and that was why some HMS labelled her FAKE...

  5. Gideon went into battle with just 300 men from an original 32,000 he picked. 22,000 (more than half) were afraid and 9,700 of the remaining men couldn't be trusted to stay alert (Judges 7: 1 - 7). Yet, what was at stake was more than their individual lives.

Do you trust a gateman with the keys to a bank vault? So how can you justify trusting your life, purpose or any part of your destiny to people who are afraid and careless, just because you "don't want them to say you don't have people"? So, you've convinced yourself you need 22 people as your bridesmaids.

People you named by yourself? That will put pressure on you that God never intended you to have? People who will even steal God's glory if they're around when your promise comes? How difficult can it be to obey God if He says to leave or pick up something? You're a child of a King, so why do you need to display such deaf raggamuffin/bastard-y behaviour? It's not like you actually know what you're doing, where you're going or the route, or the true content of the heart of a person you say is your friend; you just THINK you do. Let God lead - even if it's via village path - cos seriously, what other guarantee do you have?

Saul panicked when he saw he had "only 600 soldiers left" and let that pressure him into making a wrong decision that cost him - not the people who stayed or left, oh! - very dearly (1 Sam 15).

Don't succumb to the temptation to lobby this person and that person, in order to build an entire army cos you're convinced that's what will guarantee success. Politicians and rented crowds, anyone? Plus God has a weird way of orchestrating or allowing situations that make you look real stupid if you even attempt to take His glory.

You need the person assigned by God to get you somewhere He intends you to be, but will not attempt to take the place & glory of God in your life.

"Hian! But I will be lonely and poor when I get there, if I leave all these people/things now. How will I cope? The devil you know..."

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I hear you. Why do you think you need a devil? I'm remembering that after Elijah complained bitterly about being the only one, God told him how far (1 Kings 19:18). A whole 7000 had not compromised, yet had been hidden.

I'm also thinking of how when Esther got to the throne, she was given maids who were able to fast with her inside the palace when e shele (Esther 4:16). Have you noticed how none of them went to gossip to the king or Haman, that Esther was a Jew?

When Mary showed up on the doorstep of Elizabeth who she was sent to, did Eliza who was also pregnant, spread the gist? It was Zechariah that was struck dumb, not his wife, oh (Luke 1)!

What about Joseph who came in single + cloth-less + homeless and he was given new cloth + house + wife + name to go with his new appointment (Gen 41: 41 - 45)? See what he named his children (Gen 41: 50 - 52); if your husband can get you + your father + the whole world to be calling your own children by the name of his God, are the gods you knew before not redundant? You'll call your children's names at least once a day; your mind hasn't told you that in doing so, you've started paying homage to another God? And when your child asks you, "Why am I named thus?" you will tell them the story of how the God of your husband showed up, when the god of your father proved to be useless.

Samuel was distracted by Eliab's looks - till David was brought and it was discovered that he was not ugly (1 Sam 16:12). Person that can be fine when brought from the wilderness where he was ravaged by sun, rain and sleepless nights (whereas others took time and effort to dress up), can't be ugly again in this life, oh!

Me nko? That God gave husband in His own way and time as soon as I dropped Saul? But you really think that God will give you leftover of nonsense if you remove what and who He tells you to leave behind? So, you go and πŸ‘‘ and name what God didn't send you. After all you've been through, you're choosing to name the assassins around you, midwives? Na wa for you, oh!

    3. FTR, when I post something - reactions will usually be for one of the following reasons:

      1) I wasn't sent to you, so the demons of distraction in you will manifest to prove or assert their non-existent superiority. It's like when someone selling natural hair products puts up a stand, and you enter there and start crying to sell permed hair products.

      2) I'm talking to you but demons of resistance to the Word that will save you, are doing a number on you.

      3) I was sent to you but it's not your time yet. No be everyone dey hear word first time.

      4) You were created for destruction (like Pharaoh) from the foundation of the world by the Hand of God Himself, so there's nothing I or anyone else can do to help you.

      5) I'm talking to you, it's your time and you'll hear (abi read) something to help you with a situation you're in or about to enter.

It's not my intention to make demons or witches comfortable; God forbid. They'll always be losers, so I'm amused when they manifest. Meanwhile, I'll be sleeping or if I can be bothered to read, roaring in laughter as you go into a frenzy. Yet, salvation and destiny issues are no laughing matter. I'm not one of those some of you were sent to drive to suicide or depression. If you're trying to hurt me, know my mind and heart aren't reachable to you. The agonised cries of demons is music to my ears cos no true, reigning royal seeks validation from a one-eyed bastard desperate for royal attention. We taunt and throw you in the bush where you belong.

So, here's my personal promise to everyone in categories 1-5: I will continue to post as/when I feel led. So, if you choose to read, get ready for your heart to be doing you gbim gbim as God and I execute Isaiah 49:2.

  7. WCW - Mary of Bethany

Mary whose brother is Lazarus, was the same one that poured perfume on Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair.

Many biblical scholars believed she had a crush on the Lord cos she was also the one that sat on Jesus feet listening to his teachings while her sister, Martha worked.

My interpretation of Mary of Bethany is that she has a quiet and gentle spirit which is of great worth in God's eyes (1 Peter 3:4). And she's also a bold and brave woman who utilized her personality to become close to Jesus which baffled the disciples and made them think she's a worldly woman.

Is it her boldness to remind Jesus that "the one he loves is ill" and when Lazarus died, she still said "Lord, if you have been here.. my brother would not have died" John 11:1-54. This is a woman that isn't afraid to claim the promises that Jesus gave in his teachings and remind us that we have the power to stake our claim when battling circumstances

  11. Rise and Shine... May the Glory Of God Always be with us..

Yesterday, I read a Comment about a boy of 25 years old killing his younger brother...

Sibling Rivalry is as old as OLD... Jacob and Esau, Cain and Abel, Joseph and his brothers and the list goes on and on...

I believe parents play a huge role in the rivalry between siblings by having a Favourite and not admonishing their Fav, when they are wrong rather they will find a way to protect them and will say, “They will outgrow it”.

In our various home, this scenario plays out more often...

If only Parents realise that Family is the smallest unit of Society and know that children were given to them by God to raise in a Godly manner.... Parents should stop playing God in the lives of their Children and scrap the mentality of “FAVOURITISM”...

Parents please be firm with your Kids and stop promoting sibling Rivalry...

    1. I don't think parents should take πŸ’― blame for their adult children behaviour.

You get to a stage in life as an adult, you can and should be able to differentiate between wrong and right, love and hate, being generous and tight fisted. Whatever side you choose to lean on or embrace becomes who you are and that is what we call CHOICE.

I want a world where people (adults) can take responsibility for their actions.

    2. Ms. A, the seed the parents sow(ed) during the growing stage of their kids plays a huge role as to how they will become in future.

Some parents, actually pitch their kids against each other. The foundation any parents lays during their younger age plays a very huge role in how they become later in life

    3. If your hair is relaxed, reduce the number of times you relax your hair to twice a year.
Tell your hairdresser not to add relaxer on the relaxed part of your hair.
      Steam regularly.
Reduce the number of times you go under the drier.
Ensure your hair is not always dry.
Trim weak ends once in a while.

Please I need to be educated by lawyers in house.
Can someone approach the customary court for dissolution of a traditional marriage?
That's the only marriage we did - no court nor church wedding. And we've been together for 12yrs, but been married for the past 6yrs. With 3 children.

    1. Sorry. But some of us are still unmarried because they say we no dey send and we too dey compartmentalize relationship. So you see, this thing is just per person. Some people will appreciate you building tent in their soul and make it work because of that. Others will make you feel bad for being a lover boy/girl. Ultimately, just be yourself because the right person will love you like that.

I went to a tutorial center to register I was told I have to pay 80,000 for the tutorial alone, after which I'll have to register for the exam proper at the British council with another 80,000.
Please I want to ask if 80k is not too on the high side for the tutorial?
And someone please give me an idea of how I can go register for the exam at British council. Thanks

    2. You can tutor yourself by watching YouTube videos. Nigerians love the idea of “tutorial”, while it’s not a bad thing it just doesn’t always work for many. If you do not mind doing “self learning” then there are lots of online videos you can learn from. There’s also a trick to passing IELTS but first you have to know the basic knowledge of writing and speaking. The resources you need are all online, also register yourself and don’t give anyone money to do it for you. Cost for all these things are available online.

  40. How is it possible that a man is cheating on you and you keep quiet?

I used to complain before and then after he beat me and the episode of a girl faking pregnancy to know if he will marry her after aborting twice for him, and his mother telling me I shld not ask her son any thing regarding what happened, I decided to just be looking as it was obvious he didn't care about me or our kids!

I didn't know my quietness will be interpreted to mean 'if a woman is not happy that her husband is doing what she dislikes, she will end up killing the man' and his parents will encourage him to leave. So I'm quiet about it was translated to planning his death. A man I still marked birthday for three four months ago?

O God! It is hard staying faithful to you! Being still and taking rubbish like taking gf to his parents home. Lodging in the hotel with gf for two weeks rather than come home when in Lagos.

But I will not soil my hands. I ain't perfect but I pray you settle me and lead me to my happy place! Amen

That feeling of saying and I no dey take rubbish oo. Lol

I think it's just that phase of moving on and you can't hurt them the way they hurt you, is it d blatant lies to cover their son/brother... I'm almost there... On d road to complete acceptance n healing. I thank God because it hasn't been easy.... But I'm better n stronger than two months back. One day I will send my post like Ms Kay's own cos tory long gan.

  43. Whoever sent in that picture of Abia governor working is an agent of darkness. I still called my mom this day to verify and she took time to list all the bad roads in Aba. Yesterday, there was a heavy downpour, could you believe that car owners parked their vehicles and trekked home? No bus or keke could pass there so there was a mass exodus, my mom had to trek all the way home.
If you doubt me, check out Tonimas-Umule road. It's a death trap, a no go area.
    Ngwa road has become desolate.
    Omuma road nko?
    Ariaria gwuru agwu.

The roads shown in that yesterday's post, some are not from the Abia state. Spoke with my mum yesterday too, she said same thing about the roads. BTW, family house is at Faulks road.

Let Ikpeazu redeem his face and his Ngwa kins men by doing the needful. No single positive thing is going on Abia State apart from stealing money to prepare for Senate at the expiration of his tenure.

  51. Olodo sapiosexual, I noticed you are crazy about mehek show, so this is for you. You mentioned that vohra is a married man and is wife is constantly harrassed by fans of the show. Well I figured it out too and realised according to an Indian site it was deeper than that.

Vohra did a love marriage instead of an arranged one and the former is usually frowned upon. The wife is well off while vohra has been out of job for 17 years and the wife has bee the one taking care of everything. Lucked shined on him with her help I think and he got the lead role in mehek. But she is said to be extremely possessive that she heard samiskha talk about having a crush on vvohra. She ent on set to warn her to steer off but samisksha said there was nothing wrong with having a mere crush. Mind you she is just 21, while vohra is said to be 35 and his wife 37. The station carried the news that she slapped mehek and at that point the producer of the show wanted to replace shaurya with someone else. But that would have spoilt everything. It is said that the lead actors I not talk in real life and avoid each other a lot.

What infuriated the fan eve more was when someone insuledt mehek on Instagram and shaurya's wife liked the comment. Samiskha has gotten a new role in another series but producers are said to be scared of working with vohra because of his wife.
