If the other side is being unreasonable, that’s no reason for you to be even more aggressively unreasonable. Instead, be aggressive in your efforts to create understanding.
Someone has to introduce understanding into the mix, then guide that understanding to cooperation and progress. Otherwise, nothing good will come of it.
Even the winner of an argument doesn’t really win if the disagreement remains unchanged. There’s no point in proving a point if it fails to result in agreement.
Mutual understanding is difficult. Yet with work, patience, genuine care, it is almost always possible.
By far, for everyone concerned, the best way forward is mutual understanding. Let go of your desire to win the argument, and seek instead the much bigger win of mutual understanding.

My interpretation of Mary of Bethany is that she has a quiet and gentle spirit which is of great worth in God's eyes (1 Peter 3:4). And she's also a bold and brave woman who utilized her personality to become close to Jesus which baffled the disciples and made them think she's a worldly woman.
Is it her boldness to remind Jesus that "the one he loves is ill" and when Lazarus died, she still said "Lord, if you have been here.. my brother would not have died" John 11:1-54. This is a woman that isn't afraid to claim the promises that Jesus gave in his teachings and remind us that we have the power to stake our claim when battling circumstances

But.... We have been eating 'abakaliki' rice in my family now for more than 2 years oh. It's very good. The one we get doesn't have stones. Good morning good people of SDK blog. Please I'll like to ask those that have gone through the ielts exam to help me with these info.
ReplyDeleteI went to a tutorial center to register I was told I have to pay 80,000 for the tutorial alone, after which I'll have to register for the exam proper at the British council with another 80,000.
Please I want to ask if 80k is not too on the high side for the tutorial?
And someone please give me an idea of how I can go register for the exam at British council. Thanks

DeleteYou can tutor yourself by watching YouTube videos. Nigerians love the idea of “tutorial”, while it’s not a bad thing it just doesn’t always work for many. If you do not mind doing “self learning” then there are lots of online videos you can learn from. There’s also a trick to passing IELTS but first you have to know the basic knowledge of writing and speaking. The resources you need are all online, also register yourself and don’t give anyone money to do it for you. Cost for all these things are available online.

ReplyDeleteI used to complain before and then after he beat me and the episode of a girl faking pregnancy to know if he will marry her after aborting twice for him, and his mother telling me I shld not ask her son any thing regarding what happened, I decided to just be looking as it was obvious he didn't care about me or our kids!
I didn't know my quietness will be interpreted to mean 'if a woman is not happy that her husband is doing what she dislikes, she will end up killing the man' and his parents will encourage him to leave. So I'm quiet about it was translated to planning his death. A man I still marked birthday for three four months ago?
O God! It is hard staying faithful to you! Being still and taking rubbish like taking gf to his parents home. Lodging in the hotel with gf for two weeks rather than come home when in Lagos.
But I will not soil my hands. I ain't perfect but I pray you settle me and lead me to my happy place! Amen

ReplyDeleteOlodo sapiosexual, I noticed you are crazy about mehek show, so this is for you. You mentioned that vohra is a married man and is wife is constantly harrassed by fans of the show. Well I figured it out too and realised according to an Indian site it was deeper than that.
ReplyDeleteVohra did a love marriage instead of an arranged one and the former is usually frowned upon. The wife is well off while vohra has been out of job for 17 years and the wife has bee the one taking care of everything. Lucked shined on him with her help I think and he got the lead role in mehek. But she is said to be extremely possessive that she heard samiskha talk about having a crush on vvohra. She ent on set to warn her to steer off but samisksha said there was nothing wrong with having a mere crush. Mind you she is just 21, while vohra is said to be 35 and his wife 37. The station carried the news that she slapped mehek and at that point the producer of the show wanted to replace shaurya with someone else. But that would have spoilt everything. It is said that the lead actors I not talk in real life and avoid each other a lot.
What infuriated the fan eve more was when someone insuledt mehek on Instagram and shaurya's wife liked the comment. Samiskha has gotten a new role in another series but producers are said to be scared of working with vohra because of his wife.
