Nollywoods actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was being interviewed by one of the TV's reporters and when asked to give a shout out to Eniola Badmus TV, she
said ''oh Eniola Badmus, thats an actress isnt she?''...And then went on to do the shout out....
Reacting to the incident, Eniola Badmus posted the video and posted the following words...
lol NA WAH FOR WAH
Well I don't see any issue here
ReplyDeleteOmoT with her snobbish atitude
DeleteFrom the video, I think omotola was surprised Eniola has an online TV, she was trying to connect Eniola the actress and the online TV. Before now I never knew Eniola had a TV.
DeleteAnon 12:14 God bless you though I know omotola was been frank and did not want to sound stupid calling someone she doesn't know.
DeleteYou guys up there are both correct. She was not trying to be a snub at all. Like me I never knew the real name of the village head master walahi until... Let me stop there before the astrologers mis quote me.
DeleteI saw the video and Omotola sounded like Eniola B nor reach! Not nice at all.
ReplyDeleteLies from the pit of hell.
DeleteNa your type dey read meaning to unnecessary things.
Omotola did not try at all. It was uncalled for, she's a celebrity that's been around for a long time. She should know how to answer questions, even Saheed Baloguns children won't speak like that 🤷🏾♀️
DeleteCynthia thats a lie. she sounded surprised and wondered if it was thesame Eniola Badmus actress. you people read meaning into things too much.
DeleteStella I follow you shout nawa o.
ReplyDeleteI join shout nawa o
DeleteNa real wa
DeleteI watched that video and i think Eniola misinterpreted what transpired.
ReplyDeleteOmotola was just asking for clarity to be sure that it's the Eniola Badmus the actress that owns the TV channel. Just like there's two Paul Okoyes, there could be another Eniola Badmus elsewhere.
exactly!
DeleteThank you. How many people know there is an Eniola Badmus TV. Won't she clarify its Eniola the actress.
DeleteYeah...
DeleteClarifying shes same one she knows as an actress.
Eniola always blowing little things outta proportion, abeg dont feed the media with bullshit, we are on a strict diet.
#Calories
Tankio!
DeleteThank you for objective thinking.
DeleteEniola you no get sense. I hate grown people trying to form victim. What is the age difference between you and omotola. I trust Genevieve never to respond to such.
Don’t mind haters always trying to create enmity btw these celebs. Ds is my first time of hearing that Eniola has a tv station & there could be more than two Eniola Badmus. Also , if u are d type that keeps to urself like Omotola ,u might not be in d know of things happening around u. She has reached almost d Zenith of her career that she doesn’t need to nose around wanting to know every thing happening.I move around d net a lot , but there are stuffs I don’t get bothered trying to know , bcoz they don’t excite me d least. Yes, Omotola didn’t do that intentionally, she was just trying to be sure it wasEniola d actress period.
DeleteMy thoughts exactly. Omolola didn’t mean it the way eniola badmus took it
DeleteI didn’t know she has a tv station too, Omotola was only trying to clarify . She wanted to be sure it’s the same Eniola Badmus the actress
DeleteNo Perxie.... She said 'Oh Eniola badmus, that's an actress, isn't she'? That's not how to ask questions for clarity!!!
DeleteMaybe Eniola is blowing it out of proportion but saying Omotola was trying is clarify is false jooor, esp with the way she said it
English shouldn't be this hard @ perxian
DeleteShe's an actress? , and she's the actress? are two different thing. If Omotola was looking for clarity, she would have used "the actress". But the lady was just too proud hence using she's an actress, as if she has not heard of eniola badmos b4
Omotola didn’t mean it that way....she don do hashtags to gather crowd
DeleteThank you, people trying to create unnecessary tension when there is none. I did not have a clue that Eniola Badmus had a TV station until now. it could be another Eniola Badmus, so I think Omotola was trying to be sure it was Eniola the actress.
DeleteIt's enough joor. If not for blogs and Instagram, I wouldn't know her either.
ReplyDeleteVery wrong 👎🏼
ReplyDeleteI doubt that Omotola doesnt know Eniola. But if you're a celebrity who has been trained in PR you will know how to navigate such questions. You will just give a vague S/O, like: Oh okay. S/O to Eniola Badmus. We love you. Blow a kiss. Thank the presenter and walk away.
You can later ask your PA who the person is. Simple.
Thank you o!
DeleteWhat is ''She's an actress right?'' Just give the shout out and move on.
Well said Chikito, exactly what I wrote 👆🏾 there in my comment.
DeleteShe didn’t claim not to know her,she wanted to be sure it’s the same actress she knows that owns the tv station . Did you know before now that Eniola Badmus owns a tv station?
DeleteThank you.all for the gram.
DeletePR does not come that easy sometimes. Cut her some slack. I think she was just trying to clarify. Everyone perceives differently that is just the case
DeleteNothing wey Musa no go see for gate!
ReplyDeleteI watched this video and Omotola sounded kind of surprise like'oh eniola is and artist, didn't know you had a tv'
ReplyDeleteEniola reading meaning to it was so immature!
Yup! Exactly 👌🏻
DeleteI feel Eniola just want to trend cause before this i didn't even know that she has a tv station.
DeleteThat was how I saw it too. I think Omotola was just surprised that the actress now owns a TV brand and was just asking to make sure it was same person. This shows that Eniola obviously has serious complex and is a trouble maker!!!!
DeleteYou dey mind Eniola.. This has just helped her to pass info to a lotta people like myself that didn't know about her TV brand.
DeleteShe should therefore go thank Omotola. Hehe
Omotola said That's an actress, isn't she?
DeleteCookie.. before that, she said "oh, Eniola Badmus" with a familiarize expression on her face. She clearly knows her but just clarifying. But let's agree to disagree. 🙂
Delete“It’s an actress , isn’t it “
DeleteShe’s an actress isn’t it ?
She’s the actress isn’t it ?
Eniola is an actress isn’t it ?
Eniola the actress right ?
“THATS an Actress Sounds off
DeleteMaybe she don't know who eniola is ,is not a big deal.

ReplyDeleteIt's possible she doesn't know she has a TV station. Also possible she doesn't know Eniola. I see no issue here either with Omosexy or Eniola abeg
ReplyDeleteI will be surprised too because I have not heard of the TV Station before now.
DeleteShe doesn't know Eniola, that's what her comment meant, not even the TV
DeleteJudging from the comments that have been seeing since yesterday, I don't think Omotola genuinely thinks that Eniola has a TV station.
ReplyDeleteNothing is wrong with that.
ReplyDeleteHaven't you seen a situation where two persons bear the same first/second name and surname?
lets keep it moving guys
please don't create a case for these two base on your assumption and articulation.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Omosexy didn't know she had a TV station.
ReplyDeleteAlways pitching women against eachother and never the men...Today it's omotola against badmus, before it was funke Akindele doesn't like Eniola, another time Omotola doesn't like Genevieve.
ReplyDeleteWhat I gathered the presenter said Eniola Badmus TV and Omotola was like oh Eniola Badmus; she's an actress. She wanted to clarify it was that Eniola Badmus. Who knew she had a T.V. show. First time I'm hearing it myself.
Besides what's the big deal. Do ppls names not skip your mind smtimes and u recollect and correct yourself.
Nope, Omotola sounded like she didn't know Eniola.... That's not a bad thing though, there are two many actors and actresses!!!
DeleteCookie, I dont think Omotola didn't know Eniola, if not, she wouldn't have mentioned her name and being an actress in the same sentence. Why didn't she say that's a singer or model, why actress if she had never heard about her?
DeleteMadam cookie rest na. Oya go and beat Omotola in her house. She lives in lekki.
DeleteBeat her for what?? don't be unfortunate please!!
DeleteIf you beat people or people beat you, don't put it on me okay? Have a nice life
It's better to just give a good hearted shout out even if it means faking it( after all that's what acting is all about)
ReplyDelete@All the Omotola's advocates that I read about above;
ReplyDeleteIf another Nollywood actress e.g. MJ say to the Interviewer;
"Omotola J Ekinde, that's an actress, isn't she?"
🤐🤐🤐🤐
Gosh, stop reaching!
DeleteWhen Genevieve Magazine came out, a lot of people thought it was Genevieve Nnaji the actress that owns it. Therefore, if MJ is oblivious of a TV channel owned by Omotola J Ekinde then the question remains valid till clarified.
The “isn’t she “ wasn’t a question but affirmation. Go and watch the video again. Omotola meant no harm abeg
DeleteShe might meant no harm but the way she construct the sentence was horrible and sound somewhat demeaning .
DeleteDemeaning
DeleteI saw a comment by Victoria iyama on instagram on this topic and i was dissapointed. Why is that lady always pained.
ReplyDeleteDear Vicky, madam social worker or whatever you call yourself now why always hating on the actresses that remained here and are now making it in millions. Same you was talking about how you're not an actress, you work for your money, you don't sell your body bla bla. Na dem send you work make you go do marriage for U.K. wey no pay you. You always sound pained.
Na them sabi
ReplyDeleteLet me come and be going. I don't understand the topic at all
ReplyDeleteAhh yes! Here we go again! One of the reasons I prefer mathematics to English language, oddly enough. Unlike the precision of mathematical calculations universally accepted, the English language can be subject to various interpretations and misinterpretations. Worse still, once misconstrued, you may not get the opportunity to further explain the true intentions of your words.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the clip but from the conflicting perspectives in the comments section, one could equally give arguments in support of or against Omotola. Poor Omotola, a simple "Oh! You mean Eniola Badmus, the actress?" would have been a better response as opposed to "oh! Eniola Badmus, that's an actress, isn't she?. Unlike the sentence I constructed, the average person will read Omotola's reply as though Omotola were in doubt of Eniola's profession and not like she isn't sure which of the "Eniola Badmus-es" is being referred to. In all honesty, how many Nigerians have a solid grip on the intricacies of English language? This could happen to a lot of people.
Unfortunately for Omotola, who is infamous for her resting bitch face, it may be too seductive not to arrive at the conclusion that she was being haughty. In the spirit of Christmas, let's give her the benefit of the doubt and blame it on poor use of Lexis and Structure.
I get your point Mr Ronald, facial expressions & body language also plays a role.. but children of anger dont take hostages.
DeleteI think it's a grammar issue too. She just didn't phrase the question properly. English is hard mehn. 😀
DeleteHmm, na wa....o las las two of them will be alright
ReplyDeleteAnother angle, what if Omotola was trying to push her brand further by reiterating Eniola's name as an affirmation?
ReplyDeleteJust watched the video.
ReplyDeleteOmotola did not really mean to snub her
I did not see any video, so I will not pass any judgment
