The court on April 11, 2019, had nullified Ifeanyi Ubah’s victory for allegedly using a forged National Examination Council certificate to contest the senatorial election that held in Anambra South on February 23, 2019, Vanguard reported.
According to Pm News,The court, also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Ubah and issue a fresh one to Dr Obinna Uzoh of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who came 2nd at the election.
On December 4, 2019, the court ordered all the parties, including the INEC to maintain status-quo after Ubah filed for stay of execution, with a claim that he and his legal team were not served with the court processes nor hearing notice with respect to the suit.
However, in a ruling on Friday, Justice Kawu held that Senator Ubah’s application to vacate its judgement lacked merit and accordingly dismissed it.
Buhari is also guilt of this.

ReplyDeleteNa wa. Wasted efforts & money. Most of them in that house , both old & new , have no results. Uba na escape goat. I know of one that lived opposite my people in Lagos, he claimed to have gotten his Law degree from LASU, but never attended any Uni (Ds is his fourth time in d house). He can never contribute to issues on d floor. Was into shady deals b4 he contested & won, if u know what I mean. Only God knows how much he’s spent to have been able to cover up his former personality without being detected . Another one that was like him died a few year’s back , while serving in d house as well. Does any body still question what Burnaboy said about not being carried away by local awards? Naija politics is part of it.

DeleteWas it not on d internet that we saw grand pas & mas sitting for WAEC ,GCE & NECO, just to get admission into d Uni? Uba comes from that locality where money comes first b4 anything ,but recently they’ve realized d importance of education, so most of them pay people to sit for these exams for them & as long as u get ur five credits, admission board doesn’t care when u got it & ur age. It’s possible he realized that d only way to be qualified for a political post is to get d preliminary qualification , hence d timing & presentation of his NECO result.
