The explosives were said to have been planted close to a bridge between Nigeria and Cameroon border.
Traders, who spoke to Dailypost on phone, said the bomb exploded during routine security check on people, who are coming out of the market.
Alhaji Tahir Mamman, said he could not scertain the number of casualty.
The military is yet to comment on the bomb explosion.
