CHOICE OF WORDS

Words can exert a significant influence, yet they’re so much a part of life that we hardly notice which ones we use. The choice of words can limit your thinking and the thinking of those around you. Or, the words you use can open your mind and set you free to explore the possibilities.
Each time you hear yourself saying something, whether silently to yourself or out loud to someone else, take note of the specific words you use. Are they positive, uplifting, full or possibility? Or are they negative and confining?
For example, do you ever use the phrase “that’s not too bad” when “that’s very good” would be a much more positive expression? The words you use serve to focus your mind and articulate your attitude. Make it a point to choose and use the best ones available.

Their father said he likes me cos I'm hardworking so him and his son will never go hungry and he will always ask me to buy him this and that. Some of us compare certain job or business opportunities to our level of education, social class (of our parents), etc and "God forbid!" is the first thing that comes out. If God Himself tells some people to take a particular job that doesn't pay as high as they want, or isn't as prestigious as they believe is their level - they will refuse while speaking in tongues.

I'm yet to understand why or how anyone who is in danger, would leave their horses and donkeys (ie mode of transportation) behind, to flee on foot - if God's Hand isn't in it. So, how do you know how God will answer you if you're not doing what you're supposed to?

DeleteThere was a time in Nigeria when acting was seen as what failures and riffraff just dropped into; today, people spend thousands of dollars to acquire acting knowledge.
Blogging was not really a thing when Stella started. There was a time when nobody knew what stylists or food photography were. When Glo reportedly paid N5m each to Nollywood stars to be "ambassadors", it was a first. So, how can you with your limited human mind, aspire to what you can't even see?
What if where you are now is just a bus stop to the job that God has for you, but the job doesn't even exist in the physical realm yet? There are screen and stage roles that God is preparing some people for, that will change their lives - but the scripts haven't been written yet. System, product and company ideas lying dormant in your spirit that can only be activated in places that you will look at and call "a barren land". Business deals you can't access now, cos future customer's daughter is yet to marry - she no need the aso-ebi now.
Positions that hadn't existed before, were created for Joseph and Daniel - they were only promoted because of how well they distinguished themselves in the places they were already. But you're despising the very vehicle that God is trying to use to take you to the destination He has for you, because of unglamorous how you think it looks?

Use discernment cos not everything that you hear or that happens to come your way at this time (even from your pastor) will be a) from God or b) for you.
6) If you don't have a personal relationship with God or you don't know how to gauge His voice, you'll be in serious trouble and end up confused. 7) Confirm and test whatever you receive cos hearing something from God doesn't always mean He wants you involved. He could mean you should actually leave it alone. I've been in situations where a) I've nearly hired or promoted the wrong person cos I heard their names in my spirit and didn't realise at first that God was saying they needed to be far from me, b) I've put my life in unnecessary danger cos I heard a name and didn't take time to confirm what side they're on, and c) I came close to registering a name for a business that I thought of 13yrs ago but two popular businesses in the same industry operate under variations of that name now.

DeleteI participated in the prayer and fasting for the singles and I would want to state some things: (1) We have a sibling who has a child. We love the child and treat the child like that of our parents. An outsider would never know the child is a grandchild. But this sibling of ours, hurts us so much and does inculcate some negative mindset into the child. When you correct this child, the child does not listen and my sibling can keep malice with you for months for telling the child that which is right but this child's life is been kinda destroyed. Everybody knows, even close outsiders. Okay, in the course of the prayer, I came across the number six, I think. I didn't want to pray it, cos I felt it wasn't for me. I didn't even read through it. Only for me to be led to it and I heard this tiny calm voice asking I say the prayer for the child. Lo and behold one of the prayers, (about serving God) has been my silent wish for this child. How happy I was. I prayed it and I know God heard.
(2) Last week I was introduced to a guy. We met once and we talked over the phone. Mind you he didn't take my number, said he wanted to give me time to think and pray and call when I am ready and so he gave me his own. Only for him to call after two days, that "if he allowed me, I won't call him in a very long while"(he was kinda right). We met for the second time yesterday and in the process of talking, we talked about our dreams. Real OA, I have never seen someone discourage one so strongly on ones dreams. Oh my, he was using the Bible to want to make me see reasons why I shouldn't have such big dreams. But he was already achieving his and I haven't started mine. Truth is, somehow I could sense his fears and thus the discouragements were springing from the fears. He even asked that I stopped a job I am doing so I will be resting, but ma'am, if I stop, will be feed me, will he meet my needs, should I be begging for food or should I be asking him I have not accepted to give me money?
He is a born again Christian, zealous for evangelism, that I have found out but ma'am, I am scared. I don't want to make mistakes. I want to help poor and needy helpless people(one of my dreams), I don't need someone telling me, "what if it's not God's will?" Please, what do I do?

DeleteOne of the things I used to confirm my husband's identity was that there was a dream I hadn't told anyone about and I put on hold, that I happened to mention to him and his only response was, "What is holding you?" I completed that dream two years after and he cheered me on every step of the way - even if the thing I was trying to achieve was so unusual, he had never heard of it before I mentioned it. There were hiccups that made me think it couldn't happen but dude was like, "You will finish it, oh!" (Though he offered, I didn't take money from him to fund it cos I didn't feel comfortable doing so & I'd laid out a fleece before God). It's not like we don't have differences of opinion or as if there are things he doesn't put his foot down and say "No" to. But he is still my #1 cheerleader in this world after God.
By contrast, there was another suitor that showed up at the same time who (after I prayed that God will show me his true heart towards me) started confessing that he wants to marry me so he can mould me into what he likes! So, this one that seemed more jim-jim than my husband knew I wasn't his "it", oh! But he decided to remould who is perfect as she is for another man.

DeleteI had quite a number of dreams but I can only remember one fully while the rest are in bits.
I attended two secondary schools. The first for two years (Jss 1&2), while the second from Jss2-Ss3.
The dream started in the first Secondary School. I was with some class mates and it seemed like we were placed in charge of cooking for an event. I saw myself turning beans I had picked, washed and blended for either moi-moi or akara right there in the first Secondary School compound.
The event ended and a classmate who I can clearly remember from the first Secondary School walked towards me and asked why I wanted to take the left over beans that was neither fried nor boiled away and I told her I did all the work and no one helped me so I had the right to take it away besides it was really small.
While I was emptying it into a smaller container she grabbed it from me and ran away. I could still see her so I shouted at her, telling her to bring it back. She handed it over to a junior student in the second Secondary School I attended, the compound changed from the first school to the second (how this happened, I don’t know. Dreams!!!). The student ran away with it and was turning me around while I pursued and she only stopped when I shouted and told her not to move.
She kept the bucket with the pudding on the floor and I went over, picked it up and took it to a teacher who I remember her face to report what happened.
While on my way to her office, a young man saw me struggling with carrying the bucket and he stopped me and helped me. He waited for me to report the case, while I was reporting the woman said she wanted to drink water so she brought out #10 and wanted to send me but the boy brought out money from his pocket and said he’ll buy it and asked if I wanted to drink but I said NO!
Surprisingly, he bought it, came back and gave it to her.
I cannot remember if she gave the bucket back to me but I know I was happy while I was leaving, with the guy by my side.
We walked away together and while I was walking my leg hit a stone and he waited for me to bend and wear my slippers properly and he kept asking if I was okay.
P.s I’m not desperate to get married.
This is the dream I had... I cannot remember others.
I kept sleeping and waking up.
