What they are telling her is to stop "waiting for an Arab prince" because there aren't any.
She should accept the Naija men showing interest while the sun shines.

  12. She should marry his father now, stupid idiot!!! As it is now, any woman/man shaming another woman for being single or being a baby mama; please trace her hubby by being friends with her n "snatch" him (cos that's how their mumu brain is set). If its a guy, trace the dad, if no dad, trace their bread winner in the family n do the needful. ITS TIME FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T MIND THEIR BIZ, COLLECT SOME GBAS GBOS THAT WILL TEACH THEM A LIFE LESSON!!! Radarada

  13. The pressure on single women in Africa is too much. Even if you’re successful as long as you’re not married, even people you’re a million times better than feels that all is not well with you. That’s what they used to troll Rita D even Genny. Successful women doing well for themselves but some that are miserable in their marriages will still think they are better because they are married. That’s bullshit mehn!

It’s the heart desires of most women (not all) to get married but sometimes it’s through no fault of theirs that they get older and not married. Some few years ago when I was still single, then I was working with a bank, at times while coming back l buy somethings from a shop close to my house, the man and his wife will admire me with my corporate clothes and they treat me with respect because they knew I was doing well for myself but I could see it in their eyes and sometimes the way they behave and from what they say that they pitied me. How can a young lady like you still be single? It was not as if I was desperate or something and I was in my 20s. I was just happy and busy living my life but to them, without marriage it’s not yet complete. One day the man told me he needed to discuss something with me, l knew in my heart already that it has something to do with marriage, then I was like am all ears, he said that I’m a nice lady and that he will like to introduce me to one of his cousins living in Dubai, that he has told him about me, and that the guy is looking for a wife. In my mind I was like wetin concern me, he should be looking for wife na, that one is not my business but I just went ahead to tell him that I was engaged to my now husband and that he’s an Australian citizen. After that encounter, the respect the man and his wife had for me tripled. It was not long after I left the area.

My point in all of these is that even if you like be successful as a woman, have all the money in this life, most people in Africa thinks that once you’re not married something is wrong somewhere but that’s a wrong perception.

    2. My dear, nobody will ever make me feel bad about being single oh. Some are the ones paying the bills in their homes, buying car/machine for their husbands in the name of marriage.

    3. Souljagal This mentality is exactly why you are single! What do you think marriage is? A bail out plan?

    4. I don't understand the constant need to remind an adult to go and get married. Like the person doesn't know she is still single?? Dumb lots.

  16. It is these kind of pressure that turn African and Nigerian women in to slaves, victims of domestic violence and "husbands" instead of wives. Many women now pay their own bride price and fund their weddings A-Z; pay salaries to horsebands and provide for the home-rent, feeding, fuel cars, horsebands family needs etc; part thighs for SEX; see themselves through ante-natal and post natal; pay children's school fees etc. All just to please society. Must women eat worms just to be married or mothers? Is it a CRIME TO BE SINGLE? Are single women FAILURES?

  17. God is a God of variety. Everybody was not made to be married. For life to remain interesting diversity must exist. It is through diversity that we learn many different lessons of life. Enjoy your life whatever the condition you find yourself and remember that God makes no mistake. Some will have to remain unmarried for a purpose, and there is no shame in that. Nikola Tesla and Mother Teresa are two individuals who did great things on earth, both their names are in history books, neither if them got married or had children. Do your work and fulfill your life's mission.
