    5. The funny thing is that most of such unkind, cruel comment come from fellow women...not men! Women are the major cause of their problems. They hate themselves, always take the lead in oppressing and degrading their fellow women. Until you change the narrative and start standing up for each other, men can't do much for you 'cos your disunity actually favours them..

    6. @13:48, thank you!!!!

The comments are mostly made by the women. Those who take the lead in mistreating widows are women. Those who cut off their single friends once married are women.

Na today? Women are their greatest enemies

  2. This is a big fat lie. It all depends on the family. When a lady is married to a godly family, they will even encourage her to remarry if she is still so young when her husband died.
It is ladies with guilty conscience that put out the kind of above posts in desperate hunt for empathy.

Thanks a lot for this your words ,she wants to blackmail we men,in our place if a girl get married and the husband died suddenly the family of the husband will encourage the girl to go and remarry since she's still too young, unless some ladies that wants to remarry but they still want to take their dead husband properties to the new husband

    2. It is her property. Whether she remarries or not, the property belongs to the woman/man once a spouse dies. How about Mr Unknown you work hard for your money and ignore another dead man's supposed wealth

    3. Thank you Anonymous! Some boring people will just decides to write anything and be passing it around as facts or the norms.

A lot of women in Nigeria have gotten married after losing their husband and nobody make a fuss about it... Many are even advised to get married instead of moving around with different men.

    4. Mr. Unknown, hustle oh so you would not put eyes in another man's property.

  3. Nothing bad in a woman getting married after 4 years. If a woman can get married in the next 6 months I will be happy

What a man can do, a woman can do better.

If you can hold body fine. If you can't marry.

If your marriage is not up to a year and the man dies, please do marry

  6. It’s a tale of two cities. One beautiful and always talked about. The other, everyone condemns. Women also need to put themselves back in the dating game a year or two after the demise of a spouse. I have seen coworkers, remarry in three months and more. Guess the world feels a widower has needs but a widow is not human, and as such should remain unmarried. Everyone has needs and should be allowed to move on. Can you imagine a woman becoming a widow at age 24?? People expect her to remain unmarried and not date for the rest of her life?? It is ridiculous and only women can change that.

  9. it's so true, infact my hubby was advising one if his friends to remarry after he lost his wife two years ago, I was shocked. I told him to let his friend be,the decision should be for his friend to decide and not anyone pressuring him to do so..he said in return if I want his friend to start sleeping around..I was surprised he could utter such..infact since then I gave myself brain, I do not argue with him every anything and I take extra care of my self for the sake of my kids, I don't carry his matter too much in my heart since he has that kind of mentality

  11. My sister lost her husband in 2009 after 13yrs of marriage when she was 38yrs old and she refused to remarry or even spread her kids to us the siblings.
She is the type that doesn't take advise nor change her mindset. Go and remarry, no way. Change ur business, no way. Change ur church, no way. Relocate, no way. Right now, she owes debts from bad loans in over 4 different Micro finance banks, different cooperative societies and individuals. The children are now dropouts of secondary school and all. We are tired already as she now use the children to work and settle her debt. have tried my best to assist her financially, but nothing is always big enough for her. We have stopped paying for her rent, yet she borrow to feed .
Must u live in the city as a jobless widow?
Can a petty tomatoes business sustain a family of 6?
must u remain in a church without making progress all ur life?
She always accusers my dad and cry that she didn't go to school, but now her own children can't finish Secondary School set.
God will help us to help her In Jesus name.

Bottom line is, learn to accept change in life. Nothing is constant, whether job, spouse, siblings, trades, friends, etc.

    3. u people should stop all this church bashing. is it the church fault your sister is not making progress? God has promised to bless his children. some people just attend church and refuse to follow godly principles but expect manner to fall from heaven. even some unbelievers who follow the world principles still prosper in their worldliness. she might just be refusing change and the architect of her own misfortunes. she can change church and still remain the same. she might even just be depressed and have never dealt with her husbands death. change church without changing your thinking is just a waste

  13. Even the wedding vows say "till death us do part". Death of a spouse is the final parting and either party is free to marry or not as they prefer afterwards . Nigerians! Always forming holier than thou.

  15. People may talk but notice that the women who move on within a year don't get arrested and when they go to withdraw money from the bank or ATM, they don't get refused. If you are living your life for the opinion of non-stakeholders, you are merely existing. Ohun taye ba so e da, no won ma do bu e bo dola. Even if you are 76 and desire companionship, marry. Don't be a burden to others and don't let them be a burden to you.
