Senator Shehu Sani, a former representative of Kaduna Central senatorial district at the Senate, has warned Sanusi Lamido Sanusi against joining politics ahead of 2023 presidential election.

A Few days after his dethronement, there is rumour flying around that the former Emir of Kano may replace President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a post he shared on Twitter and directed to the ex-Emir, Shehu Sani said, “Rest well in the comfort of your family without the burden and the lice of the turban and the gown.

“Avoid individuals and groups trying to drag you into partisan politics and avoid being used as a ladder.
Its enough being a hero, they should look for a martyr elsewhere.”

  1. The best advice so far,but will he listen?NO,he won't.

  2. Brilliant words from Sani. Going into politics might rubbish whatever that's left of his reputation on the long run.

  3. Everyone has got an opinion. Let each man do according to how it pleases him. Everyone will be alright last last

  4. good one here but the throat itself wobt allow him adhere to the above

  5. Very valuable and valid advice, hope Sanusi listens.

  6. For where??? Nigerian 'presidency', "we die there." Fulani man only lives and drinks "POWER."

  7. I don't think people realize that Sanusi will never stick his neck out for anyone other than himself. He was emir of Kano long enough to show his own personal accomplishments on eradicating poverty asides from giving paid speeches. What he has as achievement are marriages, travels, luxury cars and maybe the library one only to himself and his family. No education trust, no vocational training centres, no women empowerment scheme, no schools, no community bank, no agricultural project. Now, he would have more time to serve on more boards, make even more money for himself and complain about problems he refused to fix.

Sanusi would happily "serve" after all the infighting and elections. What he doesn't want is to waste one naira on poster or even stand for election. His approach to Nigeria is "food is ready".
