Yoruba Actress Iya Gbonkan Says Witches Tried To Initiate Her After Acting Movie ‘Koto Orun’

What!!.....This so scary to even read!...Got goose bumps in a bad way!!!

Veteran Yoruba actress, Margaret Bandele Olayinka, popularly known as Iya Gbonkan, in a recent interview with Japagogo TV, gave a shocking revelation.

The actress, who played the role of a dreaded witch in the movie “Koto Orun” produced by late Yekini Ajileye, recounted how she almost lost her life because of it.

Iya Gbonkan disclosed that she was forced by witches to join their coven.

In her words,

“After shooting Yekini Ajileye’s Koto Orun, we were all confronted with different challenges. About 5 days after the production, i was sleeping and some people started flogging me in my dream. I was flogged mercilessly. They asked me how i got to know how witches behave. Thank God my husband was still alive as at that time. if not for him, i would have died. About three days after the incident, she asked me to join their witch coven. They tried persuading me to join the coven” she said.

The movie producer also died after shooting this movie....This is the reason i cannot bring myself to watch Yoruba movies cos the things they reveal there can even get the watcher initiated...OMG!!!

    2. Yoruba films have actually taug me ALOT and opened my eyes to many things i use to take for granted. No other genre educates you like the yoruba genre. But it isnt everyones cup of tea especially if you arent yoruba. This life is deeper than we think and its better to take precautions when dealing with certain ppl.and events. I also dont watch if its too much winchy winchy. You have to select the right ones. Many teach you abt life in general, human behaviour even marriage, inlaws etc.

  6. That reminds me some years back when I was in the university and I was a devoted drama member. We usually act dramas in our fellowship. I was of the main cast in my drama but fellowship and unit.

One time I played the part of a mad woman, wicked mother or daughter in law. I even acted as a court member. I didn't know I was looking for trouble in the campus by acting such dramas.

After we acted that one of court members I was summoned by one court to join them or they will kill me. Ladies were the ones thatinvited me for meeting by 1am at a venue inside the campus. I told them I cannot join them an I will never join them.

So one day they set me up with my bf,flog the hell out of us. Attacked him and his friend another day and told him to tell me to accept their condition or they will kill both of us.

When the issue became serious I age to run to the chapel pastor for prayers, I asked my drama unit members to pray for me as my life was under attack. After a while the whole thing vanished, no one came after me again.

Afer I played a man woman part that spirit of madness was moving around me. In my dreams i will see the spirit, day time i will be doing things like I am not normal. I cannot continue acting anymore. Immediately I left school I stopped doing what I live most that is acting drama.

If you want to act dangerous part you need to be prayerful oh else those spirit will one after you. I have alot experience but cannot say them now.

    1. When i was an actor in Nigeria,i rejected five scripts specifically because of the scary storylines and my roles, i told the director how deep they were and didn't want to be part of it ,even here the roles played by international actors always haunt them, i have watched true life stories like actors of evil dead ,they were haunted, you see roles our Nigerian actors interpret i pity them cos it is affecting their personal lives,it pays to be wise .

    2. Anon 14:53 the only reason you had such attack is because you were a lukewarm Christian. Devil could find a hold in your life to penetrate and attack you through. You don't go after a strong man if you're not a stronger man. You took major risk Mehn. Thank God you didn't die from 'serving God'

  9. These things happen. There was this young talented guy then in Uni,like this guy could act very well, dance, sing. He was sos gifted truly.
Then there was this school fellowship drama that he acted where he acted as a demon,he acted it so well as usual.
But shortly after the drama,he started complaining of having attacks and that people used to come to him in his dream and flog him. This continued until he had to be taken back home from schools he wasn't normal anymore. Within a short time,we heard he had died.
Like this is someone I knew, not like them say. It was a shock.
I don't even know how to explain it but spiritual forces are real

    2. Yoruba movies and churches scare me, their churches are of traditional beliefs and worships, they tell you to be afraid of wall gecko, cockroach etc, they are mostly fetish in nature and strongly believe in traditional worship

  10. They always try them to see if they truly have power in real life.
They face a lot of challenges after making those scary movies.

  11. This woman depicts the role of a witch in movies excellently. Her husband pa Ajileye was a top notch Yoruba producer as well.

  13. When you are acting all these films, you have to choose. Be for Christ or be for devil.

When they act, they are supposed to be prayed by a great pastor who will pray for God to hide them from these demons.

Most just act without getting covered. You have to be covered either by God or by devil. So the choice is yours

    3. Which nonsense great pastor??? Even God says he looks at the heart when humans look at appearance. That is how you would add more problems to your life because the man you think is a great pastor is actually the oso in their midst. Use your own mouth to pray to your own father in heaven. Jeesh!!!

  14. Some of them that act witches, ogbanje etc, just know they are one of them. You can't act what you don't know.

If you go spiritual on this woman, you will find she has affiliation with witches

    3. Acting is a learned skill. The actor is not necessarily the script writer or the director. Should I even begin to explain? No. I'm not being paid. Madam, you are like that woman that Pete Edochie said made a sign then left the car they shared. Just continue ✌️. I can't shout.

  15. This woman looks exactly like them.Thank God for you o.Things are happening

  16. So you people believe demons and spiritual forces exist but when they are attacking people without links to drama, you try to use your scientific mind to explain it. Everything is spiritual and that is the reality. All I'm saying is that most strange stuff we read in chronicles are spiritual too. This things are real

  17. That is why I'm always selective with the yoruba movies i watch. Whenever they are reciting their incarnations,or swearing I mute my TV or I change channel.

I'm sure those actors know the implications of the role the act that is why they pray before shooting any scene. I stay close to one of their "chapter office" and I see them.

So the question i ask myself is "if these people can pray before acting to ward off any evil associated with the movie, why should i watch the evil they display in their films without being protected with prayer.?

If the actor is scared, I the wat her should be scared also

In summary I choose the the yoruba movies I watch

    ReplyDelete

    1. Exactly. I only watch yoruba films for learning yoruba language not to get initiated biko. Once I see any village scene or babalawo scene or scene where they are wearing white or red, I choose another film to watch. I also mute when they start all those their incarnations or spells. I do the same for American English films as well

    1. Yorubas generally are alway seeking the spiritual, they so much believe in it, in their work place,in friendship even in selling pure water they must go get some fetish things to assist them, they are highly superstitious and it affects them a lot, they hardly trust. I am not insulting I am stating facts.

  20. It's not just naija actors o. Happens to international ones too. I've forgotten this guy that plated d time of joker so well in a film. He died shortly after. His then fiance or gf was pregnant with their daughter. He said he was seeing spirits after acting d part...they killed him. Most celebrities aint normal cos of these things. The higher they get the deeper they go for fortification.

  21. Hahahahahahahahah! So people actually believe in demons and witches. Stupid idiots, nothing like that exist. Only God exists. All this are just fiction enfraved in your brains while growing up. Most Nigerian idiots mistake bad dream to witches. Bad dreams can be as a result of tiredness or malaria. Has no connection with witches cos that rubbish doesn't exist. Stop acting like fools on blogs

  22. Drama unit is a very sensitive unit in church. During my undergraduate yr I was in drama unit and thanks to our coordinator then who was extremely fervent in prayer. I remember a time we were rehersing for a drama nd it included witches part,I was so scared because d rehersal do take place about 1 a.m in d midnight bcos we were usually busy during d day. Those yrs,I was very prayerful nd i don't go near sin at all. It's a good memory tho, none of us had anything haunting us bcos we were always praying and fasting.
