Governor Uzodinma Buys 20 Utility Vehicles To Gift Judges In Imo State...

Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has procured twenty brand new Sports Utility Vehicles for the use of judges in the state in continuation of his administration’s promise to create a conducive atmosphere for the state’s workforce.

The vehicles were received by the acting Chief Judge of the state, Hon. Justice Ijeoma Agugua during a courtesy visit by judges to the governor.

The governor, stressed the need for the judicial arm of government to join forces with the other arms, the executive and legislature, to move the state forward.

He said that the dividends of democracy can only be delivered to people when all the arms of government close ranks and work as a team.

While expressing his zeal to work with the judges, Uzodimma said the gifts of 20 brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to the serving judges was a way of motivating them to work, promising to improve the welfare and working condition the judges.

The governor also offered to take care of the outstanding entitlements of the retired judges and ensure that other retiring ones get their entitlements less than two months after retirement, a record which has not happened in the history of Imo State.

He restated his administration’s commitment to introducing modern techniques to quicken justice dispensation and urged the judges to key into the administration and do their work without fear or favour.

The Acting Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice Ijeoma Agugua said they came to parley with the governor on how best to ensure harmonious working relationship between the two arms of government.

She commended the governor for making the judiciary come alive again in the discharge of their duties as people entrusted with dispensing justice for the common man, promising not to be found wanting.

  4. The next set of people to get cars will be senators.

When the governors build one classroom with 20 desks, they will commission a song to celebrate the governor?

Which what Nigeria? For how long will we keep being in the ditch and celebrating things like borehole in a community?

I hate our present crop of leaders

  5. FOOLS!!!
Namibia bans new cars for government officials till 2025 and these fools in Nigeria are wasting money meant for healthcare, road infrastructures and social amenities on frivolities.
    Shame of a NATION.

  6. Gift them cars to shut their mouths!
Set your priorities right governor, that money could have been used for the betterment of the masses.

I said it, Nigerian politicians especially the governors, senators, house of representatives members, ministers are our worse problem. They are all evil, heartless and wicked 🤮🤮🤮🤮

I can see a lot of social distancing up there.

Just like that tyrant governor who pulled down the hotels because they broke the lockdown order, but attended PDP convention full of people with no one obeying the social distancing order.

  15. Naija which way🙆🙆🙆
And he can't provide social amenities for his people

  16. And the poor in his state are hungry and instead of making sure his people are eating well it is judges that have cars and can buy themselves any car they desire that tops his priority in this crucial time. Sometimes I wonder if they are demons really in those state houses that confuse them.

  17. People here are ever commenting on issues without any knowledge of the facts. Judges are entitled to cars at least once in every ten years.

That doesn't interpret the governors have free way with them. Governors enjoy immunity and so cannot be sued. They don't sue anyone either unless it is a matter of state or someone is suing them for fundamental rights enforcement. Unless we want judges to be flying bikes or Maruwa.
