MADAM TOK TOK DON LAND

DEALING WITH CHILDMINDERS AND NANNIES

Every working class mother must have to come across this group of people at one time or the other in order to work properly. These set of persons are secondary mothers and as such utmost care must be taken in choosing them.

Sometimes it is better to choose them from a particular organization so the organization can be liable if anything goes wrong. Most importantly let all forms of test be conducted on the ladies. It is essential to conduct medical test to physical test and spiritual test.

Medical test to be sure they do not have any infectious disease. Physical test to be sure they do not have habits like dirtiness or stealing. Spiritual test to be sure, you are not employing a demon. Let them be taken for deliverance first before coming into your house. A nanny worked with a woman for some years, it was after she had lost about 3 of her children that she sought for spiritual help and it was discovered that the live in nanny was responsible for their deaths.

Always have recording devices at home no matter how small without the knowledge of anyone so as to know what goes on when you are not there, especially what goes on around oga.

Love these set of people and give them gift apart from their agreed salaries. Sometimes how you treat them is a reflection of how they would treat your children. When you are free to stay at home monitor them and correct them in love.

    10. Madam functional constipation. First try IF intermittent fasting for 10hr during which all u drink water with lime day 1, then zobo without sugar but with ginger nd pineapple, day 3 just water, day 4 water nd lime... Repeat. Now eat things like 1 very ripe banana, no bread at all, no noodles, add honey to the zobo, no swallow... Pap or custard no sugar during this period cut out fibre for a few weeks. Why

Ginger, lime, zobo leaves encourage bowel movement and activate the walls of the stomach.

Also do not lay on ur stomach but ur sides

  27. I was too busy to comment on Saturday abi Friday on the woman who said she was hiding Caprisogne abi biscuit from her husband. My dear go and read what Ceaser wrote today. I was speechless as I read your post. Do you love that man at all, and you don't have a good friend. How do you disgrace your husband by going to keep food in another woman's house and she has not told you you are wrong. Please retrace your step. If the tables were turned he did and he does same would you be happy. He might be eating too much but you are dead wrong madam. If you love that man you won't treat him that way. You might think telling that your friend is helping you. You are devaluing your husband and by extension disgracing yourself.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But why will a full grown man be eating biscuits and caprisone meant for the kids? I don't get it
Your wife is the one carrying the bulk of the home expenses, she will buy food, buy snacks for the kids and you will go and finish it. The man na agbaya. Period!

      Delete
    2. Pls stop berating that woman for nothing. You dont know her situation or financial capabilities so don't judge her actions. She is carrying the responsibility of a dead beat husband and the man us adding to her stress. Soup meant for 1 week, he and his friends will eat up in one sitting! He wont bring shashi to cook another one. He wont stop at eating up the food, he will also eat up the caprisonne and snacks meant for the kids without replacement! You dont know how much she earns. You dont know the pain she goes thru to provide these things, why judge her like this. I'm sure the man is suing for peace now because he has seen that he is unable to provide the the things he mis using anyhow. @Madam hider, pla if the man wont behave like a reasonable adult and help you manage the resources at home, the
pls continue to do what you are currently doing before you die of stress. Nobody said one should not support a husband that does not have but the husband must also be fair to the woman providing. And my views will be the same if it was the man solely providing The woman should not be wasteful and ungrateful. She must learn to manage resources well. And if she does not, the husband should take steps to put common sense into her head!

      Delete
    3. one thing I've learned over time is not to be too hasty in judging why some people take drastic actions ,
I'm not holding brief for anyone but I can bet she reached her breaking point
I'm not also saying she is right but let's consider that people r really panicked due to this pandemic ,
Telling her friend was wrong that's all I can say but then again some people need that one person they can talk to .

      Delete
    4. Please you have no right to judge me. How do you expect me to keep feeding a man that wasnt ready to make any move? He was comfortable sitting at home, eating and dumping the dishes for me to come back from work and wash. He wouldn't even pick the kids from school! It was all on me and I did all I could do. I involved his own family so they could talk to him, but they all supported him.. I should die because I married a lazy man Abi? I did my best for the for all those years, I begged, I cried, I prayed, I fasted too! Even on days I wasn't feeling fine, he would leave me with the kids and go hang out with his friends. I would buy drinking water and he would give them out to neighbours?? Where I for find strength to love someone like that? Where??

      I didn't read Ceasar's epistle this morning and I don't want to!
Talk to me when you've walked in my shoes!!

      Delete
    5. Are you sure you read that comment at all or you just want to sound ignorant? The man brought guests who finished cooked pot of soup that would have lasted a whole one week. Is that what a reasonable man does? A man who knows the situation of things at the moment? If the woman had done such I will still call her wasteful. Read that comment again and you will see how wasteful he is.

      Delete
    6. you are not there with her to know exactly how it is going down. In as much as it was wrong for her to hide whatever it was in a neighbour's house, a man who goes as far as eating kids biscuits and caprison lol kids will even call him olonger-long throat if the woman has her fault, the man has his faults too and again,he is insensitive to finish up soup meant to last a week in one meal. Maybe you haven't encounter people like him you'll understand better especially when the wife is doing all she can to manage whatever is availabe at home it can be frustrating

      Delete
    7. Are you sure you read that post well???so the husband is right BA??and he loves his family right???You are not in that poster's shoes so stop judging her,do you know what it feels like to carry the family's responsibility when you have a husband who is not considerate????Abeg free her

    8. 15:25 I don't even need to walk in your shoes to get it.
Keep yo head up, sis. 🤗

    9. Madam poster don't mind anyone that feels you shouldn't hide them. Until they have walked in your shoes, they should keep their opinions to themselves. Imagine eating children's food, no shame at all. Hide the food stuff the much you can, have fun with your children, save up money because you have a long way to go with training your children since they have a dead beat father. Lazy man...

      Delete
    10. @ 15.25.

Just calm down, forgive all his wrong doings.

I was actually wondering what a grown ass man is eating his children's biscuits and caprisone for.

People will judge you but please do not let their words get to you. Forget about Ceaser, he is not one to be taken seriously, he is not even married. What does he know?

Please continue to feed your husband, just do that for the sake of christ.

      The lord will help you.

      @ Evelyn, well said.

    12. Shut up. We know your type.. Whatever a man does a woman must tolerate group. Some men deserve drastic measures. I know a woman who hides food too but in her house. I know how many times she has borrowed money from me. Even if her child is dying the stupid man will never go and borrow or run around. Lost his job 10 years ago but too proud to do any kind work na to stay house dey use everything wey wife bring house... I can never blame that woman till I hear her story. Some men are irresponsible

  28. Hello BVs

    Something has been bothering me

When is the right time to tell in-laws that I'm pregnant?

I'm 3 months+ gone and I think I should wait until around 6 months but hubby thinks it should be earlier. He wanted to tell my SIL on Saturday (I agreed to that) but the moment they started talking, I told him not to tell her yet cos I changed my mind

Hubby is from a polygamous home with more than 20 siblings and TBH, there's a lot of rivalry going on there.

If you tell one person something, just be sure that the whole village will hear it and I can't deal with all the "instructions and tips" that will follow

I've had previous miscarriages and this pregnancy has been filled with lots of hospital visits. Let me be praying to God to keep my baby first

    ReplyDelete

    1. Madam please keep your mouth shut. Dont tell anybody anything. When the tummy starts growing, they will see it and if they are far away, when you give birth, you will make an official announcement.

    2. I think you should allow your husband tell his side of the family since you are past the first trimester.

If anyone contacts you with tips and instructions, just listen and say "thank you" and go about your business. It comes with the territory.

      Congratulations, sis. 🤗

    5. Previous miscarriages?
And you are here asking questions?
If you really want to have that child, warn your husband to keep his mouth shut until you deliver. If they will visit and see your bump, leave the house and go to your mum's place and deliver before informing them. Also be very prayerful. Pray midnight prayers and seal your baby. One midnight, you can wake up and tell your hubby that you had a dream where you were warned not to inform them until you deliver. Pls do anything you can to hide yourself until you deliver.
      Polygamous home? Tufiakwa!
      May you deliver safely

      Its all about you ,
You alone know the family you're married into , if you aren't ready to tell them you can tell them when you're ready and you don't need to tell them how far gone you are .

    11. Young lady, hide yourself, I say hide yourself, don't fish in troubled waters. This is how a friend told relations about her pregnancy after 14yrs,she is without child. Not your portion though but you and hubby keep your mouth shut. When God is guiding you don't tell Satan the secrets.

      Delete
    12. I think you should keep your maternity news to yourself not just because it's a polygamous family but also because you don't owe anyone the report in this volatile world. Consider it like a delicacy you're cooking, if situation permits such as them seeing you later on in the pregnancy, it will announce itself. If not, when you deliver, they will hear. My two cents...

      Delete
    13. Thank you for the replies

None of them will see me or my baby bump cos I live verrry far from them, I don't post pictures on social media and not expecting them to visit

I'm naturally a private person and my spirit is not comfortable with telling them, it's hubby that is carrying the thing on his head like gala

I will keep my news to myself

      Delete
    14. You do not need to tell anybody. This life use wisdom. I got a personal revelation my MIL was behind my childlessness of about 10 years, guess what I did? I did not tell hubby the father of the Belle oh cos I knew his mum would hear. I was carrying twins and I said this one God will hide. I eventually told him and his mum heard about into the 4th month and yes she did not even say congratulations. She just asked me why I did not come to collect some herbs. True story oh... Today I have my twin girls and life is good. I pity people who say jazz no dey. I have lived abroad so its not about exposure. Oyibo announce it well and nobody cares to do you dirty but sorry to say alor of Africans still do black majic and that's our reality. If you don't feel comfortable then no need, Belle kuku no dey hide.

My neighbours baby girl then used to call her "Apu" because her family members used to call her Apunaanwu, but she calls her mum now.
Then I also know of this hair stylist (an ibo woman) her kids used to call "sister", these ones didn't change because the last time I saw them around 2009 in Maiduguri they were still at it, her last child was 15yrs then.

  39. So yesterday, i asked my 4 year old son what he wanted to be when he grew up. He wasted no time and replied, 'I want to be a king'. Hian.
    Then, the following conversation ensued,
Me: No, baby. Even if you are a king' (rolls my eyes) you should have another job....'
I talked and talked. He was nodding sagely like he understood me perfectly. After exhausting myself, I asked him,
Me: baby, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Him: I want to be a super hero.
    I sha gave up.

  41. So Sam Smith is a gay?
OMG! How I love his songs. I saw one of his videos today 'Ready' where he featured Demi Lovato. The way they showcased gay people in that video made me to go on google. It broke my heart to read it.
His song 'fire on fire' was on replay last week.

  51. Hello people of SDK Ville....

I'm at work today. The journey to work wasn't a sweet one as transport fares were hiked and we had to wait on long queues to board buses/tricycles. I'm grateful to God i still have a job and none of us was laid off by my Management. We are to receive 50% salaries for April which in all fairness is quite okay.

That been said, I ensured i'm in my FULL protective gear: Nose mask, hand gloves, hand sanitizer, turban for my hair (no wigs for today jare before person go sneeze corona put for my wig hehehehe).

But the crowd at the banks ehn....chei!
