    7. Stella pls consider not to post these pictures. There are thousands of palm oil milling machines all over Nigeria in use by SMEs. The people sponsoring these pictures are the cabal that import palm oil from Malaysia and Indonesia, they have not rested since the ban on their trade. I KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING. Kindly advise them to choose another business, they can consider farming...e.g. growing cocoyam.

    10. Anon17.59 simply say this how it is done in your village. Stop generalizing, small milling machines are all over the place or maybe you are one of the palm oil importers sponsoring these pictures.

  3. Haba Stella, this was before we had milling machines nau. These days, you just carry your palm fruits to the palm oil mill . All they do is boil it and pour in the milling machine and you collect your oil and leave.

And no this is definitely not the process, even in my village in AkwaIbom as far back as early 90s when i was a child.
Machines and the hands were used then, and now there are modern facilities used -even in villages.

This is not how it's made in my village ooo..
The one I have seen from my town, they use one machine like that to extract the oil from the palmnut..
    They use hands when necessary..
I heard oil made like this is the sweetest..
Some people use their foot too..

The person that supplies my oil from the east is from my town and she doesn't make hers like this...
Most people from my side living in Lagos buys only from her..
Her oil is like a Visa.. e no dey reach ground..
Her oil can stay for one year without spoiling

    4. Anon 11:43. Your ignorance stinks. Please if you're not sure of something, keep quiet in public, rather than disgracing yourself. Oil processing/ milling machines are very common in a lot of villages and towns in the East right now.

  7. This is really true , but u can't make use of ur oil again if ur taking note of all these...

    ReplyDelete

    1. That's not true.. In my Villa, we have machines that process palm oil.
Ist Phase.. The palm fruits are cooked in a big pot or pots
2nd Phase.. The palm fruits are poured into a blending machine that just blends it enough to remove the chaff from the nut.
3rd phase.. The blended mix is poured into a rotating oil extractor. This is done manually.

  16. At times it is better we don't know or see. I have heard about the production process before. Someone suggested we go into it with some people in Delta taking care of production. Thieving somebody only me will bring money. Anyway we have no choice do we? 😒

    ReplyDelete
  17. This should be an improvised way of making it.
If you grew up in a village setting, you'll remember they have what is called Igwe akwu, it's a machine that takes care of the entire process without hands touching it. A gallon is even used to fetch the oil from the machine.

This right here is far from what I have seen.

  18. Mbaise oil is the best and it's very neat

    ReplyDelete
  21. No big deal.
Have you seen how they make wine?
Sometimes peeps have to use their legs to crush it, just like the palm fruit 😅

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have not witnessed this kind of production process....we need to know this location.

Very obvious they don't have access to processing machine...who baths with oil all in the name of...ewww, really disgusting

    ReplyDelete
  23. even people that their parents and family members produce palm this way will start forming tush.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dis is disgusting tueh!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lol. Funny that people are saying it’s not how it’s prepared. Hahahahaha. I can testify that it’s even worse than this. We add red sand while washing the chaff from the palm fruit to bring out more oil.

Nothing wrong with that. It is then Subjected to High heat to separate the oil from the water.

This is what our forefathers did and ate and lived to be 95. Give me this over all that nonsense that causes cancer.

We should ask ourselves why we that are supposed to be eating healthier are living shorter lives

    ReplyDelete

    1. Exactly what I was going to say. This "disgusting" oil is what you ate growing up and what our parents used also. Ignorance is bliss.

  37. This may not be Nigeria. The East which is the largest producer of oil, does them in the oil mills. Besides, a good percentage of homes have the mini machines at home. It is done hxgienically pls. NOT LIKE DIS! !
