Couch Convo - Between Good And Bad Prayers.

If God answers all the good prayers, who answers all the bad ones?

A BV says he might not return to Church after COVID 19 is over because he has lost Faith in the Church and in Pastors.....

We argued abut this and he says that a Pastor told him that ''God answers good and bad prayers''..I told that it is not possible that God answers bad prayers..

How can God attend to good and bad? That contradicts his word and i dont believe it.

I decided to bring this here so that we can discuss it.....

So,I am asking again,If God answers all the good prayers, who answers the bad ones?

  1. Let's say if you mistreat your help so bad that she prays something evil befalls you, I hope God answers such prayers cos in my opinion, it's not even a bad prayer.

Or let's say, if u violently rape someone and she prays something terrible, will God be wrong for answering such?

    1. Poster, the only prayer that God answers is the one that aligns to His Word. That's why we are told to ask according to His will and be sure to receive our answer because we know He hears us (1 John 5:14-15).

Now when we pray, we literally put our angels to work. Heb 1:14 says that "the angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation."

Just like these angels are also on standby waiting to serve and to deliver the answer to your prayer to you when you pray according to God's will (ie, the good prayer), demons (fallen angels) are also on standby to act on the bad prayer.

Clearly God only responds to prayers made in faith and in line with His will. He is not responsible answering the wrong prayers people make. Satan and his demons bring it to pass, not God.

It's just like someone who places a curse on another. What he has done is to put demons to work on his behalf.

Please tell your friend to ignore that pastor. It's sad that the very people you assume should know better, know nothing about God and His Word. And that's why I always advise every child of God: Know God for yourself, and not based on what your pastor told you about Him.

      Eat the Word.

  2. Are there bad prayers? Like "it shall never be well with you"?
Well, bad people deserve bad prayers.
If you wish me bad, you will get bad prayer.
Why waste my time and energy praying for all to be well with someone who doesn't ant me to progress in life?

    1. Slutty Chic please study your bible because in it Jesus said we should pray for our enemies... and you said why pray for someone who doesn't want your progess?... please ask your self this question are you perfect? Are there no ways you provoke God?... why does he keep blessing you?

Stella there is no bad prayer... you can either pray which I believe is a blessing or curse

  3. God hears all our prayers and, in one sense, he answers all our prayers.. But we do not always receive what we ask for..When we ask God for something, the response will be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ or ‘Wait’

Note: God will not answer any requests that goes against His word

  4. I believe in the law of sowing and reaping, it's whatever you sow that you'll reap, good or bad! You can call it prayers that has been answered but I call it ''The law of sowing and reaping''

    1. I agree with the law of sowing and reaping. 100%.

    2. @Cynthia it's not always true... please why does the wicked prosper?

And there are people who have been killed for crimes they didn't commit...

A lady who has had several abortions can get married and still have plenty children and another can marry a virgin and not give birth in marriage... and it goes on and on and on

If you are a Christian you can take time to study your bible and you will notice that Solomon was all about sowing what you reap in Proverbs but if you check out ecclesiastes you will see that he changed his mind on that..

Life is life... people don't always reap what they sow, we can never understand this because it isn't for us to understand only God does... shalom!

  5. Anyone who puts his faith in anything or person other than Jesus Christ, is engaged in idolatry.
Study your Scriptures and you will know the prayers that God answers.
If for e.g. you are praying against your enemies, he said "love your enemies..."Matthew 5:44, Romans 12
So praying against your "enemies" and sending fires to burn them is praying (in hate) to Satan
and his agents. You are in agreement with them and they will respond to kill, steal and destroy John 10:10
    Study the Scriptures people!

  6. I get confused about what a bad prayer is. For example we are told to pray for our enemies to repent, some people say we can pray for them to die.

  7. Anyone praying bad prayer (curses) is chanting incantations, same things that witch doctors do.
You are merely praying to "thy father who art in hell..." 🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️

  8. Well, just like the world is made up Good and the Bad

Just like we all have good intentions and sometimes pain makes us have bad intentions (we pray bad prayers and God will answer because he is God and doesn't want a wicked person to go free without being punished) and because he is the father of the fatherless and he is the only one that can help one fight his or her battles without questioning and ofcourse with adequate justice.

I think the logic here is God listens and answers.. God makes happen only what he wants to happen whether good or bad.

    1. @Tade Adeola... so you are perfect?... you have never done any bad thing that deserves great punishment from God abi?

If God doesn't want all wicked to go unpunished you think the world would still exist with all that is going on?

Please study your bible because even Jesus admonished us to pray for our enemies so we can be just like our father in heaven

    2. My dear anonymous I have o.. I have sinned, make mistakes etc my life is not perfect and I'm not striving to be, I pick my lessons.. Own my mistakes and beg God for forgiveness each passing day! Even thinking you are a Saint is a sin coz no one is.

My point is just that, maybe.. Just Maybe that's why bad prayers happen.

  9. Well 1John 5:14 says God answers all prayers that is ACCORDING to his will. So we might pray for something if its not according to God's will he won't answer. The bible also mentions that God does not hear the prayers of a man who mistreat his wife. My two cents.

  10. To me, God answers prayers based on motives. Your heart intent.

    ReplyDelete
  11. God answers prayers accordingly... To the person the prayer is referring to, it might be negative while the person praying, to them, it's a good prayer point.

All the MFM and all the other burn them by fire, are all the same.

  12. Religion indeed is the opium of the masses!

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is deep. I think God answers prayers (good or bad) according to his will.

    ReplyDelete
  14. What I know is that whatever a man sow, he will reap...

Even the Bible stated that it shall be ill with the wicked....

I have seen wicked persons do evil, thrived , boasted in evil but they think it's over until the repercussion starts manifesting in the lives of their children...

    ReplyDelete
  15. There's nothing like bad prayers, your attitude to your fellow human being determines the type of prayers you get from them,in all, God knows, sees and understand the heart of men,so he answers according to his will and not ours.....

    ReplyDelete
  16. The Bible is clear:

    Psalm 37:12-13
The wicked plot against good people and glare at them with hate, but the Lord laughs at the wicked people because he knows they will soon be destroyed.

So God knows there are wicked people. So I will keep praying. Whether it is 'good or bad'

  17. to me, prayer is simply a way we communicate with our creator. Tell him whatever you think Is good or bad, right or wrong. Just tell him.....
    God’s way is not ours.
All you have to do is just present your case before God. He’d be the one to decide which prayer is good or bad. No man can.

    1. There are bad ones, when you rain curses on people all in the name of prayer, it is bad

      Delete
    2. It’s bad you say?
What if it’s someone that did you wrong? Why do curses still follow some people? No prayer is bad or good as far as I’m concerned. That decision is left to God.

God gives the wicked a long gap to repent but when He finally strikes, no one can withstand Him,not even all the charms the person is hiding behind.
Someone once said God is the most powerful anger,I understood where he was coming from.
The wicked will never go unpunished-that is His word. The wicked are too much in this world, so much hate and so little love.

  20. I believe in praying against my enemies. There are some enemies that have taken an oath with their lives to ensure a person's downfall. So such enemies must die for such a person to get his or her freedom.
