    2. Hard drugs is very very dangerous

Majek would still be majestically alive playing better musics had it been he abstained from hard drugs. One thing must kill a man though. However, hard drugs is the source of his avoidable untimely death. He couldn't help it and ended up with it. I really do not know why most musicians see hard drugs as a way of life. Something must be wrong somewhere.

This is a lesson for the youths and other musicians coming after him that hard drugs is dangerous.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

  18. Some news outlets put his age at 57 while Google says he died at 71. Who do we believe? If he died at 57, that means he was just 25 when he released Prisoner of Conscience in 1988 which included the evergreen song "Send Down the Rain". This goes to show the childish antics, asinine and vapid lyrics of senseless songs being churned out by new age Nigerian musicians like NairaMarley, Zlatan etc cant be excused due to their age (They are even older) but that they are empty, drug fueled fiends with absolutely no content to add to their music.
I remember watching this Legend perform at Afropolitan, relieving childhood memories was so uplifting however I was appalled at how much the man has decayed physically. Drugs, hard living and disease finally ended him. I guess all geniuses are tortured by their personal demons as it comes with the package. RIP sir

    1. Dr. Shaggy, this here is the truth @"This goes to show the childish antics, asinine and vapid lyrics of senseless songs being churned out by new age Nigerian musicians like NairaMarley, Zlatan etc "

However, this doesn't hold true @"all geniuses are tortured by their personal demons as it comes with the package".

TALENT must be balanced with DISCIPLINE/SELF-CONTROL to reach and remain at the peak of EXCELLENCE.

  31. Send down the rain was one of my fav songs. I remember while in Primary school, we used to see a lot of them during our P.E. Especially Majek and Raskimo, I don't know if they had a studio facing our field. Once we see them, as kids we start screaming and singing their songs. Our P.E teacher would be blowing his whistle for us to come back to the field. Rest In Peace, Legend Majek.

  36. Legendary Majek Fashek, The Rainmaker, Rest In Peace. 💔

He has left a great legacy in music.

I remember seeing him one on one for the first time at my friend's dad's wake-keep in 2009. I didn't know he was tall until that day.
The last I saw him was at a Filling Station close to Airport Hotel, Ikeja.

He is well-loved and his music lives on. Adieu. 😭❤️

God help us all to live to our maximum , live the life God has ordained us to live and not die before our time.
Mostly, impact in people and exhaust all the good things in us to humanity before we go back to Him.
    Amen 🙏 !

    Peace to the dead.
