Mrs Dee's Corner - Testimonies That Leaves You Shocked To Your Pants

There are some testimonies that when you hear them, you are left confused on whether to be happy for the testifier ,give them the 'are you for real' stare or just drink 'plenty' water and mind your business.

You hear a woman whose husband left her 30 years ago for another woman rejoicing that the man later came back to beg for her forgiveness and she accepted him back. She glorifies God for restoring her marriage.

I have no problem with the testimony until the reverse is the case and you'll realize that no man will ever accept such, and even if they do, they will never call it a testimony.

I had a 'brother of the Lord' on my case before I met my husband, he asked for my hand in marriage and I told him to give me time to pray about it. I confided in my uncle and he told me he has a ten year old son from a lady he impregnated.

I didn't even bother to pray about it, I told him I was not interested. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that he claimed to be a 'jim jim' brother, yet he was 'knacking akpako' to the point of getting the lady pregnant.

I know I was quite judgemental, but I reasoned it that if I were the one with a ten year old son, would he have wanted to marry me?

Society has made it seem like men are doing us a favour by marrying us, every focus is always on the woman "how to be the best wife, confidante, mother,cook... So many 'hows'.

All the man has to do is present himself and we dare not have a negative opinion or turn them down.

Nobody prays for trials and temptations to befall them, but I would call the tory of man returning to his wife after 30 years a testimony because no man will rejoice that his wife came back after 30 years, rather, she will be thrown to the curb and asked to retun to where she is coming from..

I rest my case!!!

    1. A lot of women do this, i can never understand it.

Mil left fil when hubby was a kid, and she did not re marry or even keep a bf all those long years, i asked her why, she said she didn't want to, it's not like She was getting suitors or something but she was not interested because she planned returning to fil🙄😲. After all fil put her through in this life, one day I saw her lost in thoughts, i asked her what the matter was, with pain and sadness in her voice she told me she did not enjoy her marriage, i was so sad that day eh, i never met fil, but I dislike him.
Now she left and was doing a good business, fil moved on and was marrying a new wife every other year, how she planned coming back to that drama baffles me.

One of mil's friend has a boyfriend, she keeps talking bad about this woman as if the woman is the worst person on earth, she was like She has grown up kids, what does she need a man for?🙄I mean the woman lost her hubby too, i like that woman, she is always gushing about her bf whenever she comes around🤣🤣🤣, and she dresses like a young girl eh, the woman is agadi nwanyibaby😂.

      Melancholy

    6. Mine came back after 17years non-remoseful and people want me to take him back! Never! He waited till all the children have left school and now working to come and enjoy what he didn't sow. Never! Being with a man is not an achievement in life. I have forgiven him but forgiveness is different from reconciliation. That man can kill her one day.

  2. God hates divorce. If after 30 years, they came to their senses, as long as the woman was not married to another man (Jer. 3:1-3), there isn't any fuss about it.
So Mrs. Dee, I don't understand your point here. Do you prefer that they died divorce, meet God in disobedience and face eternal judgment?

    2. My dear, what happened to where Mr man went to for 30 years. Was he taking care of the children's welfare while away for 30 years. Are the children ready to accept him? There are many questions that has be answered before we can quote the bible on divorce. How is the woman sure that, the man came did not come back with a terminal ailment? Yoruba adage; It is he/she or marries an old man/woman that will carry POSI (Coffin) lol.

    3. @13:O5
So how many years will you accept back, draw the limit and make the laws.
Is he coming back to marry the kids?
The kids are grown up and can decide what to do with their dad or mom, whether
      they will relate or not.
Supposing the man came back with a million dollar check will you remember that
your "Yoruba adage?" See the cup half full, not half empty.

    4. Eternal judgement for divorcing a man that left his family for 30 years. ABI no be the same Bible we Dey read. You people isolate a verse and form strong religious and rigid doctrines around it. It is well. What happened to Grace and mercy.

    5. God hates sin yet we sin and he hasn't cast us out. (We can't continue in sin and say grace will abound o), God hates divorce not a divorcee, don't die in a bad marriage, divorce and move on

  3. I've said this thing before. Women need to get it together. Rejoicing that a man realized the error of his ways and praises you at old age after years of emotional pain thanks to his cheating is RUBBISH. Celebrating 30 years of marriage when 28 years was spent cheating on the wife is RUBBISH.

    1. I had an auty, her husband traveled to the abroad, after he a while, he told her that he was no longer interested in the marriage, she carried the responsibility of her 3kids on her head alone. Do you know that she was still waiting for her husband to comeback to her, after 28yrs this man came back, she accepted him, a year later he died, 6months after she became sick, and died less that 6months after that. Guy man came back to dash her AIDs, he knew, protected himself, and never told her. Abeg I don tire to type.

  4. Supposing that man had a 10 year old son when he was an unbeliever; he find Christ 10 years later, he should not approach a lady for marriage?
And the same people will quote "...old things are passed away?"
Madam Dee, you may actually have missed a good man for all I know.

    1. God made her to say no because she was not the right one. That brother will marry someone that sees beyond his imperfections and accept him for who he is and they will live a beautiful life.

    2. But he should have told her, I think it was because she found out herself.

    3. @Oge
      So the way someone should propose is;
"please marry me, I have a 10 year old son...?"
You are teaching us a new doctrine today.

    4. @Ogeamaka
      When you are accepting a proposal from a man, remember to say;
"Yes, I will marry you, I have aborted *** times"
since everything is to be said at proposals. The getting to know
each other in a relationship happens over time, not instantly.
If the lady had said, let me think about it and took time, like months
to ask him questions about himself etc. won't she have known all these?

  5. And if your brother has a 20 year old man for a son, you will be the one interviewing your friends and convincing them to marry him? You will even make enemies with those that say no. Hypocrisy
    has many colors. 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️

  6. Well... it all depends on what the heart wants. It’s a testimony to her because she was waiting for him to return. I know of someone who’s husband returned after almost 30years, she was willing to give it a trial again but guy man came back and wants everything to just go back to normal I.e sex immediately but she refused o, she wanted him to do the right thing. Guy man was forming ownership! That was when she realized he wasn’t repentant or maybe didn’t even realize he did her wrong.
Someone she she suffered with and did all she could to send him abroad, only for him to disappear on her and their kids that were still babies, he came back to find out that he’s a grandpa and all of them are doing well but his village people wouldn’t let him calm down and enjoy his old age.

  11. A man in church so much believe that 'as it was in the time of old so it is now only if you believe' His wife became pregnant and he decided she will not go for antenatal. He believed that all he needed was to have a faith that can move mountains, trust God and hold him by His word.

The wife went on without ever going to the hospital till labour came. It was midnight so a neighbour was called to assist her,she pushed and the baby came out. The woman who was assisting noticed that her tummy was still 'strong' and decided to call an older neighbour and the old woman said yes the tummy is still strong there's another baby in there and so the lady had to push again and another baby came out. Lo and behold, they were having twins without even knowing. The two girls came out strong and healthy

The testimony was surprising to everyone though we all have faith but in different measures. His own faith worked for him

  13. My coleague in the office told me that her parents seperated for 21 years. Today they are back together under one roof. So it is possibe. Don't doubt the power of God. He truely works in mysterious ways if the other woman was using jazz on him, when it wers off he will go and look for his wife. One woman in Redeemed used jazz to steal a man away from his fiancee, it wore off after 12 years and 3 kids. The man kept asking who owns d kids cos he could not remember fathering them . Laslas he went back to his fiancee and today they are married.

  16. I know a woman that returned after 25years, the children had all grown and the man had remarried .She used to run a restaurant in Lagos and had boyfriends in the army used to intimidate and beat her husband.
She gave her life to Christ, begged for forgiveness he welcomed her and forgave her but built a small bungalow for her, separate from the one he now stays with his new wife in the village.
Her return was big news as people were going to see with their kokoro eyes because her husband suffer for her hand.she has been preaching to people to repent.
