    1. Covid 19 is not a death sentence. People even recover from it without knowing they had it afterall there are other infectious diseases that the world is dealing with and life is still going on.Government is just making it a big deal due to their own selfish interests.

    2. I will not assume that covid is not a death sentence when I go to visit my aged parents, upon the health challenges that they already have. Though, I intend to isolate for 14 days when I arrive, I had stayed back to observe how the airlines will try to protect their customers. From this I'd rather charter a vehicle to travel. I nor fit shout, biko.

  4. Not just Nigeria oh, even USA. At first they did empty middle seat but now they are back to normal. Guess it wasn't a sustainable business model for them. At least airlines in USA got covid funding but Nigeria didn't. People should just wear mask all through and sanitize and finally pray. This is our life now.

    2. You are right i think they are looking at the loss incurred if they leave seats empty but its the living that occupy seats ...just make sure to wear mask and sanitise your hand

    1. Ma’am you can’t compare traveling by road with traveling by air. It’s a lot more technical.

    2. Please do educate it, are you saying that the airline are on the right track for not observing social distancing

    3. I wish I can but its lots of explanation all I can say is social distancing on board isn’t going to be entirely possible except flights would be totally stopped. When it comes to take off and landing, the weight of an aircraft is a big deal. Leaving half the seats empty would make the ac unbalanced. Its not safe... the authorities are still working on alternatives but for now we have to do the rest ourselves as passengers......even IATA is not in support of leaving seats empty so this isn’t about Nigeria’s government.

  10. What's the use of the mask when the plane is jammed packed!

  11. How many people are ready to pay double the initial price? Govt is suppose to step in and help alleviate this if not the masses will suffer for it both in health and in finance.

  14. Lol no o Stella.
Part of the directive ordered by the government on airlines is to ensure all aircrafts are equipped with HEPA. It’s an air filtering equipment for purifying air against bacteria, viruses in the cabin. The idea of leaving a seat vacant in the cabin may cause the CG of the aircraft to not be balanced so that idea of leaving seats vacant may not work.
The only thing you should do as a passenger is to please wear your face mask and not touch surfaces unnecessarily, that’s why food service on board is prohibited for now.

  15. when you ask people to pay new fares na shout...the industry that was even struggling before COVID how would they recover fly with few seats? we dont even know when govt will give the intervention they promised the industry. its a vicious circle in naija

  16. Thank God schools are not opening because it would have been an epic disaster. If aviation can’t get it right how will schools that are mostly private and profit making ventures get it right?

  17. They are fine. They are wearing masks. No plane is going to fly with empty middle seats. Who will bear the cost? Covid 19 is here for now. You are in charge of your personal safety.

  18. The answer is greed. Nigerians are terribly greedy.

  19. All it takes if for one asymptomatic person with coro to cough just once and every passenger will collect his/her share of the Covid-19 dosage.

  20. As long as they use mask and the mask works well, I don't think there's a problem here.
Social distancing is to stop virus travelling in respiratory droplets so if the droplets don't come out of the masked mouth and nostrils there's nothing to fear.
Or is there something I'm not getting right? I stand to be corrected.

  21. If everyone on the aircraft mind their business and not talk to anyone right even touch , I think they will be fine. When the get off the plane, they should wash their clothes and sanitize their hands. We will be fine.

  22. First off, the postal is deliberately trying to mislead! From the picture, you would know, it is not a local flight. This plane is probably a wide body 777 aircraft from the seat arrangement It must be one of the several international evacuation flights. We know that all the passengers on all the international flights had to show their covid-19 test results before they were allowed to board the return flights. Nigerians should be logical and truthful, and avoid social media sensationalism. Pls, give some credit to those working hard every day to make Nigeria a better place.

  23. Where are you getting this center of gravity misinformation from? Up to the early 90s, both domestic & international flights had seats of 2 rows and 3 on the wider side and economy class then looks like business class now. Greed made them add additional seats and rows over time so it’s nothing to do with CG. They need to remove those additional rows added out of greed
