  1. That's how one man's sin can bring a National reproach.
It won't be far from Hushpuppy's great sin πŸ™„πŸ™„
May He reap the fruit of his labour in full.

    1. People who live and work in Dubai have said this is a normal thing over there that has been going on for a long time. It didn’t just start because of the Hushpuppi saga.

    2. Stella what other reasons do you want them to tell you....thanks to hush puppi and his gang......

    3. Let me make something clear for you . Yes Hushpuppi added to the insult but I can tell you this For a very long time now, Many Dubai agency don’t take Nigerians to work in the UAE.
I inquired about this as far back as 2017, because there were many vacancy I could apply for as an Engineer, they said Nigerians are not allowed to apply to such positions.

It has been on, one agency complained to me that most Nigerians that does domestic work are not honest people that they steal from people houses when they go to clean and they always deny while the companies end up paying for such lost .

Most of them use Filipinos, they said those ones are very honest. If we must fight this thing and give all of us good image it must be holistically,.

There is a student rejection letter that is currently trending online, It states in the letter that it’s because of the terrorism sponsored by our country Nigeria, which is one of the greatest crime against the US. Even our humble people that end up to work in some agencies in Dubai or the UAE end up stealing and running away, even so called security guards.

Nigerians are rejected or restricted from those jobs, you will notice 80 percent of it , is just about their daily experiences with Nigerians not even many of them know about the internet fraud.

What about our so called leaders? That ferries our money out of the country like sand on a daily basis.

    4. Chaiii, sometimes when I read comments here I just laugh, there's no country that does not have their citizens committing crimes internationally. Chinese Nationals come into our country to mine gold illegally, Brazilians come into Nigeria to do drugs, some American nationals was caught the other day drilling our oil illegally but has Nigerian government put this kind of ban on them, the answer is NO, because our leaders one way or the other gets bribes from this thief's here, leave this tribe wars, whether hushpuppi etc, the problem is that our leaders don't even make our country proud.

    5. Fix your Country!!! These countries once laid out the red carpet for Nigerians up until the early 90's. It will happen again once we get our country back on track. Nigerians are the smartest group of black people in the world. Nigerians intimidate the so called white supremacists because of our smarts and resolve to constantly outsmarting them. They are always looking to pin the action of one person on a whole continent!!. Pls stop all this Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa stuff and lets all work together as 'Blacks' to fix our continent. Oyinbo Divide and Conquer mentality has to be stopped!!

    6. It has nothing to do with Hushpuppi! We are a big problem! See what our boys are doing in South Africa, Ghana, Malaysia, etc.
In the USA, Nigerians doing arrangee marriage or migrating on visiting visas or collecting welfare because their children have USA passports. Nigerians today are inherently corrupt. Working in a foreign company, I avoid contracting to Nigerian companies because if something fails, my company could link me (as a Nigerian) with the problem - I find myself hiring European companies - make Nigerian witch nor come make me lose my job. I know some people that hate Nigerians for no reasons just because they are becoming a menace in their own country.
There are two issues that I see with Nigerians; the first is we do everything to keep up appearances of success, and the second is the love of a luxury lifestyle. No matter how we make money, we would do anything to get rich. These issues affect most people - politicians, government, business people, yahoo boys, pastors, etc. The day we lose the mentality of showing off, or that I must tell people I have arrived, the better for everyone.

    7. I cannot even trust my fellow Nigerians so why should I expect another national to trust Nigeria. Every space we are given, na shit we dey take spoil am. It's as if it's a curse. It's time we change our character. Stealing, lying, noise making, we are always the first.

    8. Oh! shut it! You are the only honest Nigerian abi? Asians are grandmasters but they aren't as stupid to go about writing the rubbish epistle you just did. They understand that the action of a few should not be the narrative of a whole nation but people like you that feel it's a privilege to work with non Nigerians and want to be the only one that has 'arrived' will keep typing rubbish up and down. There is no professional Nigerian company to work with abi? You concluded that they will steal and so will not hire them? It says a lot about your own background and where you are coming from because such self hate can only be found amongst.......(fill in the blanks)

  5. It's just a pity we don't like hearing the truth or facing reality,we all know why they are rejecting us, please don't say hushpuppy because it's not him,we are the cause of it,my Nigerian crew friends at Emirates told me a lot about my brothers and sisters in Dubai which will certainly brew up some anger, it's just a pity we can't change that character because it's gotten deep down into our veins no amount of drip can flush it out.

How a whole crew: producers, actors will fly to Dubai to go shoot a movie is beyond me.
      Wedding fa? Award shows?
Seriously we are the ones doing ourselves.

  9. This morning as I was getting ready for work, Hushpuppy's name was on every news channel, my mom said "I've been hearing this Hushpuppy everywhere, what is this Hushpuppy"?
I didn't even know where to start from, I just change topic.

  10. Very soon, other countries will follow suit. We're in for a loooong ride.

  11. Hush Puppy is the reason. What a pity!

    1. He is not! Nigerians have a bad rep over there long before now.

Hushpuppy is just the rotten cherry on the pile of excrement that Nigerians have made.

We all need to do better starting from our country.

    2. When are leaders made stealing legal, what were we expecting of ourselves?

  13. But we are all frauds, my brother is into fraud and I dont question him, my mum takes from him monthly and shines her teeth, we are all frauds, thank God I have another nationality. Lets all change, no place like home anyways

    1. I am a Nigerian and I'm not fraudulent. Don't get it twisted that we are all fraudulent. Only speak for yourself and those you know for sure are fraudsters. Thank you.

      Delete
    2. Just because your brother is a fraudster having the support of your mother enjoying it, does not mean you should be looking for more people to join you all in your fraudulent ways. Don't generalize that all citizens are into fraud because you are related to fraudster and associate with them. The number of Nigerians not into fraud is way higher than the number of lazy and greedy fools that have brought disgrace to the nation through their evil acts.

      Delete
    3. You don't question him because you are a fraudster yourself. The only fraudster are you and your family members and those who are determined fraudsters scamming innocent ones.

      Delete
    4. This exactly what i meant when i said up there "we all need to do better".

Your silence is compliance. Y'all are enabling fraud by keeping quite.

And you're here shamefully calling everyone fraudsters and thanking God you have another nationality.. smh

You can acquire as many nationalities as you want, but you're still a NIGERIAN! And i hope it comes back to bite you in the ass someday.

Even black Americans/other blacks will deny you when it comes right down to it. You think the #blacklivesmatter match going on is for fun?? Even blacks there get the shorter end of the stick. We will never get respect anywhere as long as we don't fix our country.
Other nationalities see you and judge you inrespective of the colour of your passport!

This comment really just pissed me off. Sheesh

      Not everyone is a fraudster!!!
      The change starts from you.

    5. I am not a fraudster pls. That's fallacy of hasty generalisation. Speak for yourself. Also , sorry to say but your mum will soon reap in totality what she has sown. She is a bad example of a mother and a wicked enabler. Your having dual citizenship is neither here nor there. In the eyes of God , it doesn't matter. Better pray for your crooked family members to mend their ways.

    6. Sorry. We are not all fraudsters. We are potential fraudsters. Don't assume a man is good because he has never had the opportunity to steal. Give them the opportunity, they will be worse than Hushpuppi in their own little ways. Crime is growing with churches in Nigeria and you wonder why. Hypocrisy! Nigerians are not necessarily fraudsters and scammers but as a Nigerian, I treat them so until proven otherwise. Forewarned is forearmed. Let your guards down and they will scam you.

  14. Do u blame them? Pls it’s not only hushpuppi. Did u not read of the one that lured a man to a hotel in Dubai and stole his money?? I beg I don’t blame them at all.

    ReplyDelete
  15. This has nothing to do with Hushpuppi. It’s been like that for years ...

I’ve lived in UAE for 10 years and I’ve never for once had issues with switching jobs or better position(I’m currently holding a managerial position)

The thing is ,certain employers preferred specific type of race or nationality (yeah I know it’s discrimination and it’s Not right )sadly the government is doing not about it

    ReplyDelete
  16. Inasmuch as it's wrong to tag all Nigerians as fraudulent, it's very sad what we have brought to ourselves. Some years back ( I don't know if it's still there) Australia's visa application on their website read how applications should be online to very few countries with Nigeria headlining the list that included Pakistan, Afghanistan and others.

To some people mostly youths, fraud and 419 is reparation for the sins oyibo committed against us without knowing the extensive damage being done to the image of the country outside. Those that travel out of the country know the humiliation the color of our passport does.

If only our government can try in provision of infrastructure the number wanting to travel out will reduce no matter how small. Dubai of yesterday. Very soon, Myanmar will join in the disgrace

    1. Abeg let Myanmar join. Wetin man pikin go come do? In the end, I can only control my own actions. I can't control what others do. I have lived in Europe for two years and I can boldly say I left a good impression on all that I met. I did not tarnish Nigeria's name. I am a good person. I am honest. I have integrity and I am Nigerian. If tomorrow I am judged as dishonest and fraudulent because of the negative perception of my country men, so be it. Apparently life is not fair. However, I will continue to be a good person. That I will not change.

  18. Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people. Prov. 14:34
A lot of Nigerians commit fraud.
More Nigerians commit fraud than not.
Nigerians are greedy and it reflects even in their discussions
    here.
type Nigerian scammers in you tube and see multiple videos, documentaries
    like 60 minutes Australia etc.
Let's not pretend like we don't know.
Repent. Nigerians need a change of attitude, a change of the culture of
greed and grab mentality. If not, soon other countries might start to copy and paste.

  22. Even Nigerians prefer other African countries such as Togolese people to cook for them in parties because they don't want them to steal all the meat etc, those Togolese tilers do a perfect job than Nigerians etc!

We need a national reorientation and overhaul.

    ReplyDelete
  23. There are more scammers and people who glorify fraud than good people in Nigeria. That's why.

  24. We are too greedy

  25. Hushpupi is not the problem we have in Nigeria, there have always been fraudsters and corrupt Government officials in Nigeria even before Hushpupi became famous, it's just that social media made it obvious, Nigerian should not be quick to judge, the Americans will handle his case.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Couldn't this be connected to the fact that Nigerian domestic staff have exposed how they are treated in UAE and other Arab nations? Sometimes, what is on the surface hides what it is at the bottom.
