Federal Government Increases Petrol Pump Price

The Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) on Wednesday announced an upward review of the retail pump price of petrol from the previous N121.50 to a new price band of N140.80 to N143.80 per litre.

In a circular released to marketers on first of July 2020, the PPPRA, said, “After a review of the prevailing market fundamentals in the month of June and considering marketers’ realistic operating costs, as much as practicable, we wish to advise a new PMS pump price band of N140.80 - N143.80 per litre for the month of July 2020. All marketers are therefore advised to operate within the new prices.

Surprisingly, most fuel stations have adjusted to the new price sharply compared to when it was reduced, they complied days later.

  12. When someone painted Nigeria to be a shithole having a lifeless President,is that person not vindicated? Trump even though i am not his fan knew what he was saying when he made that statement. This democracy is a scam and this APC govt is the worst in the history of this nation. No palliative for Nigerians yet they keep increasing virtually everything despite the prevailing economic situation all over the world cuz of this pandemic. NLC where the HELL are you? This is the time we need you to speak up. We are too docile in this country. Nobody is saying anything. Let the hardship continues. Revolution is loading.
