Minister Of Niger Delta Affairs Akpabio Calls His Accuser Serial Wife That Needs To See A Doctor

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has reacted to the allegations made against him by Joy Nunieh, a former Acting Managing Director of Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

Nunieh recently made some damning revelations about the Minister and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State on his handling of the Ministry.

Addressing the press after she appeared before Senate adhoc Committee investigating NDDC, Mrs Nunieh recounted her ordeal at the hands of the Minister before she was removed as the NDDC MD.

Among other claims, Mrs. Nunieh said, “Nobody makes any payment in NDDC without Godswill Akpabio’s approval. When we first came, on the day of the inauguration, he said to me in the car, ‘Madam MD, if you don’t do what I say, the same pen with which I used to sign your paper is the same pen I’ll use to remove you.

“He said the first thing I should do when I get to Port Harcourt is to change the dollars in the NDDC account. I was scared to do that and he claimed that I have a poverty mentality that I’m afraid of money. All of you knew that he accused me of refusing to spend money. It is strange today, it’s about money.
After that, he came to Port Harcourt two days after the inauguration and told me that the first thing I should do was to change the dollars.”

But reacting in a television interview that has gone viral on social media, Akpabio said the former NDDC MD has character problem.

The Minister also charged his interviewer to bring the four husbands of Nunieh, whom she had allegedly divorced, to the studio to attest to her temperament.

According to him, “I don’t want to discuss her because that’s not the job of a Minister. The last MD you mentioned, Joy Nunieh, I wish she can go to hospital, see a doctor take some injections and relax.

“I’m not saying that there’s something wrong with her, but I’m saying there’s something wrong with her temperament. Remember she had about four other husbands that she married.
You also need to bring all the other former husbands to the studio so that you ask them questions one after the other because it looks like character

“They will have answers to her problem. Not a professional conduct, is she a professional?
They will tell you about her characters because what I’m seeing here…if somebody comes up and say something on television channel…then the whole world…Nigerians love bad news and my job is to protect the citizens of the country and the administration of Mr. President .

“I must tell you that even Mr. President, President Buhari was not aware of all these things because I did not want to bother because he will be shocked.”

    2. He has no right but in trying to defend yourself of any accusations, even how one was born will be said so as to divert attention.

If we have good interviewers, they will always stick to that main point not jumping to another question.

Akpabio chop money but being in APC clan, Buhari will mumuishly pass the plate and spoon to him.

    3. So Akpabio knew there was something wrong with her temperament and that she had 4 husbands before he offered her the job. He must also be questioned on his hiring decisions. Stupid man.

Like always, nothing will come out of the allegations she levelled against him and the corruption in there. The sleeping uncle in charge sure as today is Monday is not and will not be aware of this crisis in NDDC and life goes on. The country long passed redemption.

  18. He’s just a childish man. This shows she is right. If she was not he would have faced the accusations head on instead of diverting to her private life. Who cares how many husbands she has? What of how many girls he has slept with while married? What we want to know, Is she saying the truth or not??? Defend urself Mr Akpabio!!

  21. Typical Nigerian man. Instead of facing the issue at hand, he brings her personal life into the matter. Very common in offices, even in normal compound matter, some men will be bringing a woman's personal life into question.

Woman: You are wrong, if we take this decision, our company will lose money.
Man: I don't blame you naw. If your husband hadn't left you, you won't be talking like this.

Woman: I think we should go with contractor A. He's more reliable.
Man: I don't even want to argue with you. It's your time of the month, abi?

Woman: Mr. X, it is not fair that you didn't contribute for the cleaner's salary. You know she cleans the compound every month.
Mr. X: How dare you? That why you're still single. No husband. Your mates are facing their husbands and children.

It doesn't matter whether she married and divorce 100 husbands because she has a bad character. Are you guilty or not?

Nunieh accused Akpabio on the job instead of responding with facts to clear his name Akpabio REACTED in anger by dragging her personal life into a case professional misconduct and corruption.

What's her married status got to do with what's on ground . You sure met your match , onye Oshi. You can imagine not signing any documents but want people under you to sign and commit the crime on your behalf while the money will be yours , Kai , this country is a Joke 😨😨😨 .

WHAT !!!!! So far say the no follow her up to assassinate her cos I fear for her life.

  26. I hope President Buhari will not take these allegations against Akpabio lightly. They should conduct a comprehensive audit on NDDC ministry if none has started. It's high time we end fraudulent activities in this country. The poverty level in Nigeria is alarming, let those found guilty be jailed to bring sanity to the system. Who would have believed Magu would be this corrupt? If Nigeria don't kill corruption then corruption will kill many Nigerians through hunger. Enough is enough.
It's a shame Akpabio's defence is on the private life of his accuser so as to distract people's attention. Let's not forget the subject matter pls

    ReplyDelete
  27. Akpabio's slut-shaming the lady is uncalled for. He left the substance and chased shadows instead.

Having said that, President Buhari should as a matter of urgency, set up a probe panel to investigate the allegations of Ms Joy Nunieh about Senator Akpabio.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Very silly man!!! Address the allegations against you instead of bringing her personal affair into it. If he was fighting with a man would he have told the man to bring his four wives or drag him because he was married 4 times? You're accused of corruption in your Ministry defend yourself with documents and facts. Appointing Akpabio as minister of Niger Delta Affairs is like appointing an armed robber to protect an ATM. It will disappear last last

    ReplyDelete
  29. Just pray that woman hand ain't into deep shit...she is looking for someone to drag down with her..

    ReplyDelete
  30. Typical! What is the nexus between her accusations and her personal life? If he had a solid defence, he would be too engrossed in discussing live issues pertaining to his defence than delving into her personal life, like a punk. Let's assume, for argument sake, that she's even a professional prostitute, is he inferring that a woman with questionable morals cannot effectively blow the whistle on a corrupt boss? Did she accuse him of bigamy and lasciviousness or misappropriation of funds. I'm not saying both are mutually exclusive but in this case, they are and should remain so.

So what if she has divorced 4 or 7 husbands? One can argue, in her favour, that she is a no nonsense woman who wouldn't put up with anyone's shenanigans, not even if the person in question is her husband. Besides, with the type of marital horror stories we read here almost every other day, is it so surprising that a woman has divorced 4 men?

If not for religious beliefs, person discipline and perseverance, fear of public perception and societal criticisms, family and peer pressure, lack of financial stability or support, the general fear of the unknown et al, a lot of married women would have been divorced, at least, three times. Slut shaming is petty, in my considered view, and in this case it's not even remotely relevant. Her character as per management and appropriation of funds is what's relevant here and not the number of men whom she chose or chooses to grace her marital bed. The good senator should address the issue on whether or not the allegations lack merit and not delve into the personal life of his accuser. That's the ironic thing about mudsling, the one who slings the mud ends up with muddy hands.

  31. All is fair in love and war has nothing to do with this

Akpabio should remove the log in his eyes. What has her ex husbands got to do with the accusations? Typical Nigerian men mentality.

    Accuse them and next thing
They over flaunt their wives they have been unfaithful to
    Call you ashawo
Say you are bitter and single
    Say you were dumped
    Call you a runs girl

But will never have substantial evidence to refute the accusations.
