Ondo Deputy Governor Ajayi Served Impeachment Notice By 14 Lawmakers....

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have served an impeachment notice on Agboola Ajayi, the state Deputy Governor....

The lawmakers accused the Deputy Governor of gross misconduct.
Recall that Ajayi recently dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and has insisted on retaining the office.

He also indicated interest in running in the forthcoming governorship election.

The Nation reports that 14 lawmakers supported the impeachment of Ajayi.

There were, however, heavy security presence at the Ondo State House of Assembly as the lawmakers were holding plenary.

  1. "Gross misconduct" defined (in Naija poli-tricks) as;
    1. Chopping alone
    2. Not allowing the hawks cart away some
    3. Having gubernatorial ambition

    1. This might not be a popular comment but I honestly think that Nigeria is not ripe for democracy. The military should just take over and all these nuisance people will get a JOB. When Sanusi former CBN Governor said that too many people were on Federal Governor due to democracy (From many local chairman to senators) it didn’t make sense until now. Nigeria doesn’t have that kind of for all these illiterate thugs

  2. I don't understand the man,you dumped the party and want to run as the next governor,you should have honorably resign your position even when the party you decamped to advised you to resign you blatantly refused..
    The saving grace obaseki have in Edo is because he has the backing of the house of assembly, reason ambode couldn't decamp to PDP because he knew if he had joined PDP that he is out because lagos house of assembly are only loyal to Tinubu.
    So why is agboola still bent on being the deputy when PDP even told you to resign.
