The 41-year-old told People Magazine how she had suicidal thoughts after being involved in a car accident that claimed the life of a woman in 2006, as well as suffering heartbreaks from failed relationships.
She further explained that at some point, she knew she had to keep going for the sake of her 18-year-old daughter who she had with former partner, Robert Smith.
She says she would have taken her life if she didn’t have a daughter.
According to her, she was in a terrible place and didn’t think she would be able to make it out.
“I remember laying in my bed super depressed.I asked myself, are you just going to give up like this? That’s wack.
I had to remind myself that I had a daughter and if I can’t do it for myself, I can do it for her because this is not the way to leave a mark in her life,” she said.

So many prominent people have been depressed at one time or the other..one would look at their life and think they have it all and even envy them...WOW...This life no balance at all...

ReplyDeleteShe has never been the same since that accident! Children are a truly a blessing. I know for one thing too if I didn’t have my kids I swear I would have done it too a long time ago! Sometimes I just get tired of the whole cycle wake up- eat - chase paper - come home - eat - gbench - sleep and repeat! It de tire person! God forgive me :) I will never do it. My hubby and kids love me tooooooooo much Chei God forgive me for even thinking it!

ReplyDeleteIt is common na. I almost committed suicide twice but the only thing that stopped me was imagining the smile on my mother's face if I die. I wont let an enemy win. Thank God we disowned each other and my life has never been better. From grass to grace. There is power in prayers.
ReplyDeleteIt shows she has a working conscience. She showed remorse for accidentally taking a life. God be with her, the pain never truly goes away, and also to the family of the woman involved, May they find comfort in their moments of despair
