Borrowing Money Brouhaha

Sometimes giving or receiving a loan can become a nightmare.............

Let's discuss and what you would do if someone overpaid you after a lot of stress....

You gave a loan of 40,000 Naira to a friend two years ago but since then he has refused to pay back, which has really affected your friendship. You have pleaded with him to pay you #20,000 and forget the rest because you are in a financial crisis.

He tells you he can only get you 15,000 because that's all he has. you feel like you have no option but to accept. You gave him your account details to send the amount directly to your bank.

You woke up the next morning to check your account and there you find 150,000 in it. You keep staring at the screen in unbelief but it is indeed 150,000

You checked other notifications on your phone and find 53 missed calls from him and an additional 27 text messages begging you to transfer back 135,000 niara since he only meant to send you 15,000 but accidentally added an extra "0"

What will you do?

1. Send back #135,000 Naira

2. Take out your full #40,000 Naira

3. Keep the entire #150,000 to teach him a good lesson?

4. Any other options

    2. If one will attempt to send back, one should collect full amount lent and add bank charges and interest join, after leaving for some months to gain kobo interest on it. 😁

  17. "Do not turn away from those that want to borrow from you..." Matt. 5:42
The borrower is servant to the lender...Proverbs 22:7
You will not see where Christ instructed his followers to borrow money
but you will see like in the above that they do lend monies. The
reason is that if believers obey the teachings of Jesus on financial
management (tithes to the widows, orphans and strangers and missionaries, the laws of giving
etc.), they will be blessed by God to have enough to share/lend.
Well for me, when you ask me to lend you for e.g. 100k. And I know that if you can't pay
me back, what I can endure is 40k. I will give you the 40k and explain that it's what
I can give you at that moment and you should not bother about paying, or pay when you can.
And know that I don't bear any grudge if you can't pay etc.
That is the peace of being in Christ. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

    3. @Candy, the person will not owe me again because according to the post, I asked him to pay half which is 20k and leave the rest, but he/she said can only pay 15k which I agreed to. So as one who stands by their word and see no need in paying back or dragging the issue on, I will send back 135k like I said.

  31. I will just take my 40k and return back his 110k.

Cos he said he didn't have money that is why I asked for half the money, but now that I have seen that he has money, enough for that matter, because before that money for will leave his account, that means there are more zerooos in the account.

So my 40k only, take your reminder 110k.
