Mrs Dee's Corner -Careless With Cash

Some bad habits can come in handy in strait times and also be a lifesaver when one is broke and desperately in need of cash.

I have always been a forgetful keeper when it comes to keeping loose change from shopping and part of the monthly allowance for miscellaneous expenses. I tuck it into couch corners, in between books, in one of the many pockets of any of my bags, clothes' pockets and forget about it.

There are times when I would practically turn down the house searching for it and other times, I would be pleasantly surprised with the amount of cash I retrieve from hidden corners.

This habit has saved me a number of times when I thought I was cash strapped.

Though some may see it as being careless with money, it's a not-so-bad kinda habit when compared with other addictive and negative ones...

There is also an assumption or myth that those who are careless with cash are usually generous and hardly remember small debts.

I don't mind living with this type of habit as long as money keeps materializing when I desperately need them. Lol...

    1. You have not lived with someone that takes what they didn't keep. When you do, you'll change by force. They won't tell you how far πŸ˜‚

  2. My husband is careless with money. He is very generous and flamboyant and doesn’t think of the future. He has nothing tangible to his name. Those he throws money to are building houses and managing. It’s very frustrating. Anyway I have learnt to take the money when he has and save it for a rainy day. But I am getting tired of having rainy days all the time.

  3. 10Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much,
and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
11If, then, you have not been faithful with worldly wealth, who will entrust
    you with true riches?…Luke 16:10

This is the question the Lord is asking you this morning. For e.g. If you have
been lying about the needs in the house to collect "extra allowance," you are going
to lie when given a promotion in the office or given a contract or ministerial positions.
And do know and understand that some lives are jeopardized any time a lie is told.
The bad roads you see today claiming lives are due to dishonesty by public and political
office holders and contractors. Nigerians complain a lot about corruption but are
corrupt in their own little way. If you can cheat your husband or your mother, who
told you that you won't cheat the government or the masses?

    1. Exactly what I commented up there. That was me before, till I housed a friend. What I saw reach to cry. The worst was that I had no prove of what I was looking for because I don't keep count; but always knew I was supposed to have it somewhere because when I am alone I find them. She was too nice in other aspects; so I was forced to change. Started knowing where my last 20naira was. Tested her a few times and knew where I kept it; it still borrowed leg. So I stopped.

Later found out she grew up on survival and not character check and morals kind of home. Like in their house if you stroll off and food gets done, you are on your own when you come back because it's those around when they offed stove that will eat.

      Poverty is a bastard!

I have spoken to her to change. She just told me to stop keeping things where she will see it. That in her house these things are normal. They even laugh if they discover where you hid it and take it off.

She's still my friend because she's good in many other things. But her ways ehnn. E tire person!
