    3. I borrowed this my dear friend of over 15years money and she decided to shatter the friendship. I was her run-to-person each time she had marital wahala. This time she calls to say she needed money for hospital bill that she was having preterm labour and the hubbys debtors never pay, told her fine and loaned her, not because I had so much then as I was off work then but cos I felt life was more important. She was all thankful, even her husband joined in the thank you.
It got to time to pay back, for where. Yet she was posting a new car her hubby bought for her and spa treatment here and there. I asked her severally, she kept posting me, from give me till month end to my bank app is not working, to I’m going to the bank now, to I’ve sent it I don’t know why you haven’t received it. There was even one morning by 6:30am she called me to check my app to check if the money has entered that she has sent it.
I tried sending her husband a message about it via instagram since he was aware of the loan but it happens that I had to follow him first as he was private. He mentioned to her that I was about to follow him, madam called me and pleaded I should please not report her to him, next she blocked me from all his and her social media account.
It was a hard pill to swallow but mehn I just left her to God. It’s going on 3yrs now.
I thought it ended there, only for her to call me from time to time to say “babe are you angry, I know say wetin I do bad, no vex”. You will think after this she will repay you but for where. I had to block her for my sanity. I’ve put her behind me and her frequent calls were only serving as reminders and souring my mood.

  3. This matter is one serious case o.
I remember one 'situationship' I found myself in. This guy derived joy in borrowing from me as per girlfriend which I always obliged him then. But when it's time for payment, oga will say I should exercise patience and will still borrow on Top of his debt. This is somebody that has not given me 10naira before o. Omo, I got tired of the situationship because I lost my happiness at that time and I called it quit.
The money till today I never see.

  4. I never ask to borrow money from people, I rather work for my money and manage the ones I have and people rarely borrow from me nowadays because I keep my financial state a secret and don't tell people that I'm doing well financially. I tell them that I'm managing too. I had some bad experience with people who borrowed my money and never returned it back so when anybody ask me to borrow them money I tell them that I'm managing. At least in this way I can have peace of mind. I save and invest strategically and safely so that I also have money in situations of emergency without going around begging people to borrow their money. You should never mix any relationship with money. It's a no no.

    2. Relationships and money don't work. We all know its easy to bend the knee and be humble like a cat to beg but when it comes to paying back they become roaring lions . Just give what u can afford and see it as dash money or write a contract and gave them sign so when they don't pay u can either forget about it easy or drag them very well 🦋

    3. That is how one of my colleagues had police case and needed 100k. Everyone refused to loan him money except mumu me. He promised to pay when salary was paid. Salary got paid and he kept quiet, I asked him how far, he said he will see me.

By the time I asked for my money the 3rd time, dude screamed at me to say Shey because I lent him money he won't drink water and drop cup? Really? I was shocked. He paid like 2 months after. Loaning people money doesn't work for me so I rarely do It, I will rather give you what I can spare.

Even when I buy things on credit from my favorite customers turns friends, I always pay back. Owning money for a long time and not paying back is very wrong

Thank God she is always with cash and myself, l don't hesitate to pay back when money comes. We graduated last year, and was mobilised for NYSC but she was not lucky because she had issues with her result. While BV preparing to go to camp, l beckoned on her so l can't clear and get my result, as usual, she came through and as soon as I got my first allowance, l paid. So, she is a darling and l love her to the moon and back.

  15. Mtshew... Stella you just opened a wound that managed to heal. This is going to be a long read!

A former colleague who became close begged middle of last year that I should lend her money. Was hesitant but after series of begging I lent her the money N10,000. I sent lots of messages before she paid N5k. Towards November last year, I sent messages again and aunty paid N3k and had the guts to tell me to dash her the remaining N2000. I immediately cancelled whatever "ship" we had. I would have left the whole money for her but she specifically asked from the onset that I should lend and not gift her!

Early September last year, an ex-coursemate in school and a "supposed" friend reached out to me to lend him some money. Claimed he bought land with his savings and his company hasn't paid 3months salary or so. I refused. His calls and messages became much that my mum had to beg that I should help him. I agreed to lend N30k but he begged that I should make it N40k.
Uncle hasn't paid back and has been ignoring my call. I learnt from another friend of ours that he got married last December. He had money for wedding but refused to pay me back the N40k. I sent him a whatsapp message on December 31st that I would never ask for that money but he will live to regret ever treating me this way. He read and ignored.

These experiences will never stop me from helping out but give you whatever I have. If you pay back... Fine. If you didn't pay back... Fine.

  16. You will lend to people and not borrow from them Deut. 15:6
Do not turn away from anyone that wants to borrow from you Matt. 5:43

I have seen the teachings of Jesus fulfilled in my life with regard to this.
I don't borrow from people. God has given me enough for the time and I do not
live above my means. When people want to borrow from me, I give them what I
can endure to forsake if they decides not to pay and so, no qualms develop.
    I tell them from the inception things like;
"this is not a loan but a gift"
Pay when you are able to. And if you are not able to pay, no problems,
don't ever think I will get angry with you.
The worst thing that will ever happen to anyone is to put hope in wealth, that
develop wings and vanishes (Prov.23:5) money. Do not ever make your life to be
defined by money and do not make friends
with those whose lives revolve around money.
Let your treasure be banked in heaven, Matthew 6:21, for where a person's treasure is, there his heart
    will be also.🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️

Dear people of God,na so my good turned to bad oh! Her hubby outrightly told her he wasn't paying back the 15k since she didn't allow him spend it the way he wanted. Well she paid me 5k after like 4 months and my balance was paid exactly after 1year(yes 1year)
Guess her excuse? She was saving the money for me,chai I learnt the hard way sha! We are still friends though, and I recently had to gift her a small cash token as there was no foodstuffs in their house, the hubby was embarrassed.I was just being human, times are hard folks, but to borrow them money again? 22. What the person I lend money do me no be small thing,Hmmmmn I can't even type all,the idiot doesn't even call me anyomore, imagine!! Cos I asked for my money back after a whole year and 3weeks of having patience, took millions from me to trade with, not that I was getting anything from the profit this idiot was making oo,I wasn't even interested,I did a good thing out of the goodness of my heart and pressure from the idiot, iniatially I didn't wanna get invole with this kain thing, but the begging was too much,I almost even wrote a chronicle to Stella to get advice from bvs if I was the one that did wrong, cos the issh and the idiot attitude was really getting to me.This is someone I assisted with 800k to add to rent, infact I practically paid that rent cos the rent was 900k,with other charges it added up to over a million,I transferred 800k,the next day this idiot called me asking for 120k again,I did another transfer,2weeks after I helped to buy sofa(s) for the lounge, that costs me a lot of money but I didn't mind, note that all these money was given ni oo,I was not going to collect it all back,I'm sorry I'll be refering to this person as an Idiot cos I'm so pained and I feel used.I got pregnant, was so sick with hyperemesis,I was on hospital admission 2months bed rest, each time this idiot visits me is only to rant about how business is not doing well cos there is not enough capital to run the business, hmmnn I think sometimes it's better not to let some people know what you're worth cos I noticed since this person knew I had money,it's been one demand after another, don't let people see your pocket, they will keep asking for your hand.2days after I got discharged from hospital, this idiot came ranting, crying, begging to borrow money to help with business,I obliged after so much begging,we even went to the bank together, even with my health cos I was supposed to remain on bed rest,I withdrew money and gave the idiot, and the agreement was for my money to get returned after 2-3months,chaiii since last year oo my people,y'all won't believe I just got my money back last month after 1year and 3weeks,every time I asked for money back, the way this idiot will get angry and be shouting that I'm wicked,it's not even that I need the money that I'm just being mean by asking for my money back, this idiot will rant, and rant, call me all sorts, and even tell me"no be my fault, imagine having blind ego untop of my money, but I tried so hard not to get mad cos I didn't want our friendship to get ruined cos of money, sometimes I will come on the blog to put it here so bvs can advice me on how to handle it but I will chicken out and clear the message worried that some people here will start insulting me that I'm bragging.I kept my cool, this idiot was still collecting money from me o,but not a lot, like money for shopping, car maintenance bills, food stuff money, you know like 100k,50k,250k once to pay for an urgent whatever,The only money I wanted back was the business money cos that was "borrowed" I got a call last month, and it went like,hi,just paid your money into your account, the money you wanted to kill for, stressing me all the time, asking me to pay back like I was going to run away, the idiot hung up and has not called me again since then.Me I'm just glad to get my money back.I'm sorry for the long epistle.I hope the idiot doesn't read this blog and get mad again that I brought the matter to the blog, and if per-adventure you happen to read,I hope you'll read and digest other people views on this and see who did wrong.

Yesterday, she chatted me up again with same story of how broke she is and also oweing debts. I just told her point black that we are all broke and she should get a job no matter how small.

She even went ahead to borrow money with my name from one of my good friend and she was carrying face so the guy won't ask her,the moment the guy called me to report that he gave her because of me but she's now pretending that she has forgotten,I asked her the amount he said 50k, I told him to go ask her of his money, but after I collected my money our relationship died.

  26. I have never in my lifetime borrowed money, as I always try to do with what I have.
But just 2 months back, in the peak of the corona hit, someone ordered beddings and I didn't have money to supply. For the first time, i started calling family and friends (who I have always being there for and tried my best for) and was shocked nobody had to give me and those I know have, were not willing.

Last last, it was a friend who we just recently know,we live in different state and she dosent even know where I live. I was surprise she could trust a total stranger and borrow me money.

My people, i kept praying for the business to go smoothly and for the people to pay at the time they promised, so she dosent loose trust in me, or doubt my person and integrity, or be disappointed in me.
They recently paid (before the time frame i gave her) and immediately, i returned her money and will forever Cherish her for this. She is a rare one.

And I sincerely pray not to be in such position again. To ever ask people...
Meanwhile, i wasn't angry with those that didn't. One of my friend even wanted 10% interest on it, i had to tell her the profit on the supply was "a turn over" and was willing to split it with her. I guess she didn't like that, cos she stopped picking my calls.

I am still in talking terms with all of them and we are still friends. I believe they don't owe me and they are not obligated to help me.
Moreover, with all the d problems that arises from these borrow thing, they were just playing safe.

So, if you get someone that dared borrow you, even if they are billionaires, my dear pls, pay back. It will turn back and hunt you in future if you don't.

For me, i have alot of people owing me over the years and I don't bother calling them again. I am now smarter though.

She promised to return it as soon as she collected her own part of the contribution by June ending.. people of God, I had to involve another aunt (my school mother) that acted as my mum over the phone before I could get my 50k back in January of this year. I couldn't even bring myself to tell my mum about it.. this my aunt had the money to return it all along but she was using it to do business. Imagine.!!

Since then, me sef na manage I dey. Once people know you have small disposable change, they start asking. I've learnt how to look away too.

  30. 'Aga eji mgbagbu ghali ogu'? is a strong Igbo axiom.

I have never borrowed money from anybody in my entire life,if push comes to shove my siblings will do joint contribution,we don't take money from our parents though I obtain them when some benefits are paid and they are away from here, haha.

Do I have peeps who disappeared after borrowing? Many. Especially coursemates and social friends.

Do I have cunny ones who turned around and started callling me AdaStingyKoko because I wanted my money back? Many. Colleagues and Church members(ndi okwa ima na ikam mma,ok na)shey you know, you are better off than ne,hmmmm.

In all, give what you cannot cry over its loss, let God lead.

What I find disturbibg is a fresh blossoming friendship and few weeks after, she alights from my car then I hear,'Lady P,please can you raise me?'hian.
So na the 'raising' carry you come? Oriegwu!
    Nigerian women are terrible,aswear dan.

  31. I don't feel comfortable borrowing money from people unless that situation is really dire and I will always pay back even before the time I promise to pay. They sometimes tell me they are not dragging me for the money this one I'm already returning it. I don't sleep well when I borrow so I rarely do.

But you see lending people money? It has never favoured me. They usually don't pay back and when they do they start to pack face. When I noticed it, I stopped lending out money I can't dash out to avoid story that touches the heart and if I know you're not someone that pays when able I'll simply say I don't have. It's been helping me.

  35. I borrowed my ex-hubby money and he continued to borrow from before we married to 2 years after. These were outright loans, not my share of the housekeep or maintenance bills during the period.
Once I got pregnant and he still wasn't saving up, I locked up on borrowing.
When I put my foot down, he told me he would kill me.
We are getting a divorce now.

  37. I hate loans with a passion but what do I do. No job for close to 4 years. started my masters to and business with little savings but that has run down. I'm just grateful I owe only family members that understand my predicament, I might have committed suicide. Meanwhile when I calculated money people owe me it amounted to 105k spanning 5-9yrs,friends that I helped greatly in their worse times are looking away. Hmmm, It is well. I will be great again!

  38. The only person I can borrow money from or lend to is my sister. Otherwise I will never ever ever ever lend money to anyone else. If that will scatter our friendship, let it scatter bc I know that as soon as I lend that money out, the relationship is dead. You can sell something to me or the least as me to dash which I will gladly do if I have extra. But to lend money to a person. I dey craze?
