Suspect Narrates How He Was Paid N1m To Kill Undergrad Vera Omozuwa For Rituals

One of the suspects involved in the rape and eventual death of Uwaila Vera Omozua, a UNIBEN undergraduate student who was attacked while reading inside a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) parish in Edo State has confessed that he got N1 million for his role in the crime.

The suspect, identified as Collins Uligbe, narrated that he was given the money by his landlady, Mrs. Mary Ade to carry out the act.

He stated this while being paraded alongside other suspects in the case by the Edo State Police Command.

As earlier reported by Naija News, the suspects were paraded on Wednesday and were identified as Nelson Ogbebor, Akato Valentine, Mrs. Tina Samuel, Mrs. Mary Ade, Nosa Osabohien, and Collins Ulegbe.

It will be recalled the UNIBEN undergraduate was in May 2020, attacked, raped, and eventually died from injuries sustained during the attack, sparking wide protests and reactions from Nigerians who demanded justice for her case.

Narrating his part in the gruesome murder of the student, Uligbe said after the act, he used a handkerchief given to him by Mrs. Mary Ade to wipe Uwa’s blood and private part and returned it to his landlady whom he claimed wanted to use it for rituals.

He added that while all six of them were involved in the incident, he was the one outside the church monitoring movements before he later joined them inside.

Collins said Nelson hit the victim with a plank and when she tried to stand up he hit her with the fire extinguisher in the church.

However, the landlady, Mary Ade, has denied the allegation against her, saying she neither gave him the money nor asked him to wipe the lady’s private part.

  4. I saw the video of their confession. There's more to this case, the said landlady doesn't look like someone who can offer 1m either she was contracted for the job, she then went ahead to hire the boys.
However, they all must pay for their wickedness and greedy.

  7. I am confused here.
I read (here) about the "pastor and wife" that were on
the run after that killing. That the dead lady was
pregnant for the pastor and was asked to come to the
church for discussion about the pregnancy when the attack
and killing happened by "pastor's hired men"
    So which is it? 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

    2. So has the Redeemed "pastor" paid police off his trail?

    3. That story was a fake one circulated by one idiot on Facebook.

The pastor is not on the run. I know him, he is very much around.

Can you provide links. I am writing what I read here and I know that
SDK does not carry anyhow. If the story was refuted, she usually brings it
on here. So which is it? Are you in redeemed?

    5. My dear loud it. They must think we are fools and not following. Now they want to distort the story and cover someone up. The guilty ones can thwart our system but not not God's system and judgement.

    6. Fools you are all praying it was the pastor. Shame on you...

We are all remembering what we read right here on this blog, quoting the news media.
Why not refute that or supply more reliable piece of information.
What happened to the story of the "pastor and the wife on the run?"

  8. And what was the land lady's motive? Nigerian police and doing shoddy jobs.

  10. I always felt from the first story that this was a planned attack and not random. Now the rabbit hole is going deeper and deeper. May the absolute and irrevocable truth be revealed.

How many have to die for ritualism to stop? I am beyond disgusted that one person sees the life of another as their ticket to earthly comforts. Then do they not expect to die one day themself. How long does the average Nigerian live for, 60-65yrs? What can be worth taking anyone's life for maybe just 30yrs of comfort for, tainting the family bloodline and leaving the generations to come to pay for your unholy deal with Satan. Just because you wanted better clothes, a better house or paper money, all for the useless and worthless things of this world that must decay and go to dust one day you will take an innocent person's life. Shaming God for even giving you the opportunity of life, you tarnish God's glory and legacy by doing to another what you would never want someone to do to you. May God show no ritualist mercy.

  11. I watched the interview. One other guy said the woman told them that the girl is loved by everyone in the church and her children are not loved.

The other woman is not among the gang, her son is. They caught her because they didn't see the son.

The woman they said paid them looks very poor to be able to afford such money. She denied it though.

    1. I'm tired my dear. I just pray God accepts the late girls soul and confort her family and loved ones. The investigative reports we've been reading all sounds made up to me. Whatever the case may be, God is still the all knowing King. He sees and knows everything.

  17. It's scary to think that, that young girl went about her day and life not knowing some evil people were planning, plotting and scheming not just to rape and kill her but also to use her for some sort of ritual, back in the days parents could travel and leave their kids with neighbors, sad that those good ol days are gone forever, we all have to adjust to the reality that no one not even your blood family can or shld be trusted #restinpeaceUwa
