Covenant University Resumes With Mandatory Blood Test To Allegedly Check For Pregnancy And Drug Use

Final year students of Covenant University resumed school on Monday September 28th and were greeted with a mandatory N10k blood test to ascertain if there is pregnancy or drug use amongst the students...

Wards and those who dropped off Students were not allowed into the hostels with them and made to stop at the point where the School Bus picks them up and takes them into the hostels after the blood test comes back OK..

Mondays Rain destroyed many students' properties because only 2 canopies were put up to receive the students but the canopies were not enough to cover all of them......

Other students are to resume as the week progresses....

  5. Any student that fails the drug and pregnancy tests did so doing it at home. The institution will not be guilty this time after more than 5 months of closure.

  10. We did this in Madonna during resumption.

The test result is needed to register courses.
    Bringing back lots of memories.
Although our own we settled down after travelling.

Days/Week are set out for the test. The queue just to take the test.

  13. Why d complaining? If you dont wanna attend a private university, go to a state or federal one. Schools have rules, abide by it or go. If u dknt like d treatment meted out to your kid, remove them, shikina

  14. This is a Christian faith based university right?
Ephesians 5:3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality,
or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.

    My question;
So how come that fornication is so rampant amongst them that they are policed like prison
    inmates?

    1. Are they supposed to be having pre marital sex? U people should reason like sane people abeg.

    2. Blackberry, answer the question. What if they were pregnant? So their education should be stopped? Punishment for the girl but nothing for the guy? I am not condoning premarital sex but expelling a girl because she got pregnancy has always left a sour taste in my mouth. Must her whole life be ruined just because of a mistake? It took two to tango after all.

  19. Chai๐Ÿ™† I can imagine the trauma of some of the girls who weren't sure of their monthly visitor, knowing fully well they've committed already๐Ÿ˜ But but even if they had to do this anyways, they could've made it free na๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍♀️ while the guilty ones bear their punishment accordingly. And again, it wasn't wise leaving them stranded under the rain like that, nothing minding the fact that on their own part, they failed in providing them with enough shelter against rainfall. They didn't do well abeg๐Ÿ˜

  20. Why will they leave them stranded in the rain like that with their luggage? CU can do better!

  21. I'm a cu student and the pregnancy test is a lie . It's only blood they collected and if you cannot abide to the rules or your children you don't have to attend . instead of dragging the school . Plus the water was not planned for obviously and they are doing better

You didn’t do biology in school to have basic medical knowledge?
From that blood sample you gave them, they can run a pregnancy test and you won’t even know.Next time, think before talking

    2. Pregnancy yes is more accurate when a blood test is done.

  22. The test is necessary,I remembered then in school after a six months strike one of my faculty mate came back pregnant and she was studying medicine that we were looking for o, she eventually gave birth but couldn't continue cos she couldn't balance it. The boy was also a student in social sciences o,I can never forget that episode.
