ReplyDeleteThe first person (a French, in 1219) to have a degree was conferred with that title by people who didn't have degrees. He was a philosopher and the people deemed him worthy of that title.
DeleteCalenders evolved with time. They were not created. Right from the stone age, humans had a way of keeping up with time from the use of bones, down to the Gregorian system.
Clocks, just like calenders, evolved also with time. Prior to the "clock era", humans had a way of keeping up with time, using the direction of the sun, water clocks, sand clocks and so on. Its possible that the first mechanical clock was adjusted in line with the bearings of the aforementioned.

DeleteInteresting questions
ReplyDeleteThe first person to draw the map where did he/stand?
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think the map was drawn all at once. So it wasn't by one person. It was likely built upon over time from experience starting from travellers of time past, explorers and navigators who likely followed regular routes, caves, terrain amongst rivers, Island and lakes. With time more kingdoms were built, more nations conquered and discovered and all these were added to the map which obviously wasn't a map at the time but built over time to what we have now.
I think money came about by barter system. People did trade by barter like we were taught and later precious metals like gold were used to purchase goods in forms of coins and the bank later suggested paper notes since that wasn't seen as a better means of exchange.
The person who started education? I don't think education started

ReplyDeleteDepends on what education is to you. With industrialisation and civilization. Over time also with new scientific discoveries and invention education became vast and broad. From traditional ways of hunting to farming, fishing, knitting, weaving etc now to modern ways of doing things, solving issues all these I believe brought about the new for education on a larger scale.

ReplyDeleteSome things were not written, some history were not captured.
ReplyDeleteEven when written, different versions were revealed just like the history of the creation of the world.
Some questions were and have remained unanswered, else we ll continue questioning.
But definitely, someone initiated something, somewhere and over time, there were improvements and modifications.
Everything dates back to the author of life!

ReplyDeleteGoogle and wikipedia answered all the question. Let's stop behaving like everything is a mystery or magic. Even prehistoric men started this things and have evolved over time.
