  5. The CCTV was medicine after death in this case.
Even with CCTV evidence, their deaths cannot be undone.

    Real advice should be:
1)if you have a pool at home, always keep it under lock and key when not in use.

    2) If you have CCTV and you leave your children with the help, make sure to check the CCTV live footages(remotely) at least once an hour.

May the souls of these little ones RIP and may God comfort their parents and loved ones

  6. 😢😢😢😢😢🤗 RIP sweet little kids. Ladies are so corrupted by cell phones. Once they begin pressing it and gossiping, they don't remember even the fact that they are naked and can walk out on the street doing so.

  11. So tragic and I feel horrible that these people will have to live with this for the rest of their lives.

When I was babysitting my young nieces I would check on them every half an hour if they were sleeping to make sure they were breathing. I never felt comfortable watching someone else's child so I hovered like a shadow. If I needed to go to the bathroom I take them right in there with me. I could not imagine being paid and not caring about it. Even if you're exhausted leave the job instead of putting those innocent children at risk. 45 minutes is way too long to be away from a child. Was this nanny certified and came from a reputable agency? Because this just sounds like just anyone who was hired off the streets.

    Swimming pool again?..
This pool of a thing has killed so many children!...
Same story happend around my estate last month!..
This is the worst thing that can happen to a mother!..
I always discourage people having a pool close to the house especially when you have young children...
    😭😭😭😭😭..
Children at this age explore alot! We need to be extremely careful!..
When my children was younger,I remember there own madness was in the kitchen...
Just remove your eyes from them for one minute, fiam they have gone to the kitchen..

  20. I can't control it 😭😭😭😭 and i'm in the public. What a loss!! These cute bubbling boys gone forever out of carelessness. Oh! My gracious God 😭😭😭😭😭 I can't help it. My own house help sleeps like there's no tomorrow, she can be walking and be sleeping, most times i will be at my door knocking for hours while she's busy sleeping. Come this Xmas, I'm taking her to her parents, no jupita will stop me. I'm not even listening to hubby who said i should be managing her because she's related to him.

  23. If you have small children please resist the urge to have a pool. How many times do you actually use the pool? If you must, kindly put a cover over it and padlock it!
No matter of nannies can prevent crawling or curious kids from entering the pool.
Pools have killed alot of children.

    1. Oh my God, stop it. You think the nanny wanted the kids to die? It could have happened to anybody. Have you forgotten how Dbanj's son died? Where was the mum? Should the mum now be prosecuted? It was an accident. The nanny would probably never forgive herself.

May our everyday mistake not result in loss of life. Amen

I don't understand how you will have little kids under your watch and still have an I don care attitude.

45minutes is a long time not to know where the kids were.

  39. Please don’t build a pool or buy a house with a pool if you have young children. May God comfort this couple in Jesus Name. A pool at home isn’t as cool as movies depict, as you can join gyms that have exclusive pools and they have classes for swimming, lifeguards etc though accidents still happen.

If you want a house with a pool drain it, cover it with tarpaulin before gating it. Only fill it when you are home together or on staycation.

Read the story of Joni EarecksonnTada and a family here whose adult son dived in a pool, knocked the wrong part of his head and became a paraplegic for life. His dad ended up committing suicide leaving only the mom and daughter. This is not fiction. They had a good life and this was even an adult son. Another one died on a play trip with white friends. I say white because there are instances of bullying by some bad kids as the stereotype is that blacks aren’t into swimming. Send kids to swimming classes so they can at least swim in about 4ft or deeper and escape bullies. I pray that God comforts this couple.

This was totally the nanny’s negligence and I hope they jail her. So sad. Google Joni Eareckson Tada who as a teenager dived into a pool in a case similar to the physician’s son. She became a paraplegic and a Christian evangelist. Please leave pool out of your home. I didn’t grow up with it so when we wanted to buy our first home and the realtor took us to those with pools I told her to strike off pools as my kids were young. Instead of pools buy indoor basketball hoops, Air Hockey Tables, Indoor Amusement devices for your kids and play sets with swings etc like they have in parks for your yard. Pools are dangerous. They now have cctv that have apps on your phone with sensors.all over the house. From your phone you can be looking at exactly where your children are and if you put a sensor in the door leading to the pool, you may be able to know when they open the pool gate and call the nanny. Kids are curious people. They want to check out everything.

I am not blaming them at all as these are all new technologies that were unavailable in my time raising kids. They did things right, put gates and who knows they may have a timetable for draining the water. I’m so sorry about their loss!

Even the cathedral ceilings in some homes here that is now in some Naija homes can be dangerous. Arrange your sofa in a way that when they jump from upstairs they will land on the sofa and not the hardwood and of course the sofa will be ruined I guarantee you. Better a ruined sofa!
Please leave pools out of your homes. It’s not that the examples of adults I gave were not good swimmers, on the contrary they were. The diving on the floor of the pool hurt them and paralyzed them. Imagining a little twin trying to rescue the one that was drowning is heartbreaking as that stupid nanny should have been nearby to do CPR and save both lives.
Depending on your state when you want to start babysitting here, (teenage girls look forward to earning their own money from babysitting occasionally), they train you and take it serious. When my then new teenager wanted to learn babysitting, she brought home an electronic baby that cries at intervals. She got cpr certified but the electric baby cried too much and we told her but she will say, it needs food, I need to change the diaper etc. She won’t leave the baby until she fell asleep! It’s only when she fell asleep we could take the electric baby from her arms and put in the washer so we can get a good night sleep because she set it to cry so loud and the thing needed like 10-10 min attention!. My point is that 13 year old babysitters know how to babysit and this wicked nanny left 2 kids alone for more than 45 minutes? She needs serious jail time! May God help us all.
