Senator Dino Melaye Says Nigerians Should Not Accept Covid19 Vaccine

Senator Dino Melaye has come up with his own confusionist theory concerning the covid 19 vaccine.....

According to him!

My name is senator Dino Melaye
I'm here to address Africans indeed Nigerians on the covid19 vaccine.
I'm calling on all Africans particularly Nigerians not to accept the use of covid19 vaccine for now, for 100years I couldn't find the vaccine for cancer, for over 40years we are yet to find the vaccine for HIV/AIDS, for over 100years we have been searching for diabetics, we are yet to find it.

How is it possible that within one year you found the vaccine for Covid19?

Common sense is not common after all chei...

  3. As for me I am not taking the vaccine..There are risk factors taking a vaccine barely a year of the COVID 19 breakout!! Vaccines need to mature and have to undergo vigorous trials which could take years before it can be administered!! I am not ready to be a guniea pig..Instead of me taking it, let Buhari and co take the vaccine maybe after 3 months or 6 months, if nothing happens to them then I can reconsider!!

    1. Gbam! I wish we could see beyond all these shows.
The virus is man made and our govt has used it as a means of enriching themselves.

    5. Out of curiosity, what exactly are you afraid off?

By the time this vaccine gets to the average Nigerian like you, it will be definitely be more that 6 months from now that these people taking it in the UK and US. So fear not.

When we finally get one in Africa, particular high risk populations will be prioritised first eg healthcare workers.

On why and how we have a vaccine so soon...COVID-19 brought the whole world to her knees and everything was dropped and so many trials were carried out simultaneously. These efforts started since February and the data has been released to the public. Due process was followed, it is just that this was prioritised above everything else.

There is a huge trial currently going on in South Africa now by the same people that made Ebola Vaccine.

  4. Leave the messenger and listen to the message. He actually made some viable points..This COVID 19 pandemic is just so controversial.Lassa fever;Ebola are still at large.Even other pandemics like HIV still dey.1st wave came, people(especially Africans) did not die as expected;slows down;lockdown eases off;next thing vaccine production started;then 2nd wave & the western world willing to donate the vaccines free of charge to Africa that was least affected;instead of ensuring it goes round themselves first.
Me sha know I will be among the last people in the world to receive it.

    1. I would love to know why you would be reluctant to take the vaccine?
There has been an Ebola Vaccine for over 3 years now. HIV is difficult virus to make a Vaccine for and as we wait for that miracle to happen, there are drugs that can reduce the viral load to undetectable amounts. Of cos there are many viral diseases without vaccines but none had threatened the world like COVID-19 in terms of ease of spread with a lot of ambiguity.

    1. What you wrote makes absolute no sense. Did Ebola affect the whole world? Make una dey think now! Why can't African scientists develop a vaccine for Ebola?

  11. Hmmm... To think someone in the "Abroad" made mention of this recently.

As for me and my household, nothing concern us with vaccine.

  12. Because those diseases do not have the potential to wipe out humans as a specie.

Dino, your ass is old enough to remember what polio did to people. You saw the ravages left behind by German measles. The vaccination campaigns helped many to be able to live their life without disabilities.

I am not saying the vaccine is perfect or will not have side effects, but old heads like Dino shouldn't act like he forgot what the scourge of polio was like before vaccines came along.
