I will never change any of my names... I love my names from my two grandmothers (two different tribes) and my name from my dad. I wouldn't change any for any other name!
I would have been loved to be called Toni. My daughters are Alex, Charlie & Marc. They are short versions full female names, but they go by the short versions.
It opens doors for them, especially in the corporate world. People that don’t know them think they are dealing with men. It’s funny how people tend to trust and respect men more in the professional environment.
We like the confusion in people’s faces when they expect to see men, but meet women.
I so much love my name, I can't even think of another. Every time I tell people my name, I get favoured immediately. It's a native name and the meaning is powerful
I was named as a consolation to my mom,she lost her first child/son at about 18monthsπ’
NKIRUKA...means the future is bright(there’s a bright future ahead, don’t be shaken by current situations) These days,my name consoles me❤️ Loveeee my name❤️
I've got a Yoruba name and I love it so much. When i lived in Nigeria my name was shortened but now that I live abroad, I actually use the full name and people pronounce it very well and the meaning makes my head swell πππ. God bless my mum π

Love my Igbo name, not crazy about my English name.
