    2. Exactly!
The only issue here relevant to the bank is the inappropriateness of dating a colleague, if they have a code of conduct that states clearly that it’s prohibited.
The lady has not alleged sexual harassment, the deceased can not make any allegation either. The bank just has to decide its response to the negative publicity this story is bringing the bank. From the bank’s perspective, its more about image management and less about addressing misconduct.

    3. Tunde had a mild stroke in 2018. By the grace of God, he was able to fully recover from this and carried on with his life. He was obviously doing well at his job and was in another relationship with a lady who was pregnant before his death.

Why he had a cardiac arrest that led to his eventual death almost 3 years after remains a mystery that only God can provide answers to. We can begin to postulate on possible reasons, but we would rather not, to preserve the fond memories of Tunde.

Tunde has now gone to be with his maker. We do wish his family and associates including his pregnant girlfriend, the fortitude to bear the unfortunate loss. He has now been laid to rest and we implore all to allow those grieving his loss, including Moyo and his children, to do so in peace.
May Tunde’s soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

    4. Exactly. There's nothing weak about the response. It's a personal matter.the only place the bank comes in if it affects their code of conduct. It's a pity the man is gone

      Delete
    5. It isn't weak
Apart from misconduct nothing criminal was done
      They are personal issues

  2. Stella I agree that its a personal matter, in fact I dong agree with the idea of the bank getting involved with the issue, the said lady is not even working there anymore, so far they did not break the banks code of conduct

    ReplyDelete

    1. Even if the lady is not working there anymore, how about the MD? There is the possibility that he might do this again so yes it needs to be looked into. Only in Nigeria will people be so quick to look away and make excuses

      Delete
    2. Nope it's not just personal because the reputation of the bank is at stake. If u studied business courses of any sort, u are taught that any slight occurrence in the company can affect their stock prices, can discourage investors from doing business with them and customers from patronising them. The bank has a right to address its stakeholders cus it affects them. It made national news and ppl are linking the man with FCMB. They must clear their name

  3. It's a normal thing with bankers, they bang themselves steadily, keep jobs , favours, promotions, fun. Evry organisation is guilty. My wife was a former relationship manager, that's what she told me her post was anyway, caught her countless times chatting with customers and fellow bankers on a flirtatious level, I turned a blind eye anyway. Waiting for d day she will say I am misbehaving. She has no idea why I started using protection with her citing FP. When a career woman goes out, she is not yours, she is only your wife when she returns home, trust at your own peril. As a guyman, I cannot accuse her of cheating, it will make me look like a simp. Let her cast herself by herself, luckily my kids are mine, dont ask me how I know. #peace.

    1. You're still a simp bro..
How can you be telling me someone you paid Bride price and bogus list for is cheating under your roof and you call yourself a guy man.. tell that to the men she's fuckin, guy man indeed.. except maybe she's the bread winner and as a lazy man whose eating from her run, you're maintaining table manner, not wanting to talk while eating.

By the way, it's what most girls in any organization that are given a target to meet monthly does, even those that are to bring clients and get commission do same.. una no get babe oh.. make I just tell you

  5. Sorry to disagree with you Stella, not a weak response. You don't expect them to conclude without investigating first.

It's also an ex-employee's personal issue. We are all just concluding with sentiments and don't even have the 100% facts.

  6. Honestly this is a personal manner and we need to respect people's private lives...I mean the bank should not delve into his private matter...Live and let live...

    4. XP There are code of conducts and again FMCB should be separated from the personality MD Nuru..It is a limited liability bank so there is nothing like shares or stock being affected here..If he infringes on the code of conducts set by the bank then they will do the needful..Babe no need to be sentimental about it..This is the corporate world!!

      Delete
    5. Phoenix I advise you read some Corporate Profiles of these companies wella.
I've been in the corridors of the Corporate World for 22 good years.

No company goes down because of one man.
      Nigerians are very revengeful.
Tunde didn't file for divorce from Moyo, he died, he fxckin died Phoenix, from complications of a heart break 2 years down the line.

Read this paragraph I cut from down there and verify from staff of Nigerian Breweries.
When Chief Felix Odimegwu campaigned for President Olusegun Obasanjo's 3rd term bid, Nigerian youths stopped drinking Star Lager beer and they were incurring losses. Nigerian Breweries Limited fired Chief Felix straight up.

It was just an asslicking campaign but he had to go.
      Whywas that?

What I advise young people is, before you sign that petition online, make sure you're not a job seeker because these guys own many sister companies and hidden subsidiaries, they have a loop. Once they peep, you won't be employed.
      Be guided.

    6. XP Mama NBC is a public liability company so they had a lot to lose in terms of shares, stocks and other stuff..It is the people that own NBC..FCMB na private company..They are adults who decided to be involved in such act..Yes it is unfortunate the man died..God bless the dead..He did not rape her nor defraud the bank. This was done by two consenting adults!! Nne I believe FCMB has a good lawyer and a solid PR dept you will see how it will go, shebi we dey here..The Nigerian factor will play a huge role..

    7. Wait, hold up hold up.
Phoenix you don't know FCMB is a PLC, has stock market under wraps and can lose a whole lot from this messy scandal? Hahahaha.

See eh, I'll forgive your ignorance but please next time don't argue blindly.

Many blokes in the corridors of money market are speculating what will happen to the bank this week alone.

Phoenix, listen good... NIGERIANS ARE VERY REVENGEFUL.
Tunde is dead from all these. Tunde died. We're talking families and communities, alumni and associations, when they decide to give FCMB their back. It's losses all the way.

  7. Stella the response is appropriate. No sides taken and it is very professional. They have to appear to be neutral unbiased and diplomatic. Don't forget that this is a reputable corporation we are talking about

  8. Theres nothing weak about their response. As long as no code of conduct was violated no punitive measures need to be taken.

  9. These are personal issues, are they the first? Will they be the last? Most people just remember the '11the commandment' and that is why we think they are saints. what has the board got to do with it?

  13. While I agree that it is a personal matter: most of you don’t understand what is called reputational risk to the Bank. In sane climate this is enough for the stocks of the Bank to crash as people at the level of the MD are meant to be fit and proper person and uphold higher level of discipline. The response is not weak and nothing will come out of the investigation. Worse case scenario a warning letter that will be in his file for only six months will be given. May God rest the dead and forgive all parties involved

    1. Tbabe the bank is involved because he is an MD and she was a former employer. We do not know if it was at first consensual or if he abused his position. Take for instance a lecturer and a student. #sexforgrades comes to mind. The power difference calls the consent into question. A lot of times relationships between bosses and those under them are discouraged especially in work places because of the Power dynamics. The bank is involved because the MD may have abused his power; The power difference between a boss and a subordinate.

  17. If the man in question did not violate the bank's code of conduct then there's nothing the bank can do to him. They can't dismiss an employee for adultery. It might cause them a wrongful termination suit.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Stellz, I don't think their response is weak, if the man didn't violate their work ethics code, then he did nothing wrong. Some coy don't allow colleagues to get friendly in that manner, also some laws too might see it as a form of intimidation due to his official post as MD, might say he intimidated the lady to have a sexual relationships with him,as per she was threatened or scared of losing her job, so she spread them legs.. these laws are made to protect subordinates. However, if there are no laws of this nature guiding them, then he did nothing wrong legally. Though morally, he was wrong, but that's not enough to sack him, if not him go sue the coy.

It's the lady that hold the blame here, she was the one who swore an oath to her husband. As a matter of fact, women control sex, what men do is to make their request, if the lady refuses, the man would bounce. That's where money and greed comes in,. Them hoes who have big eyes would always take advantage of this when a man who they feel has things they'll gain from makes his request, whether they are married or not is irrelevant, they just want to eat. I still don't understand some things though, even if you're dumb to cheat as a married woman, how can you be so stupid to get pregnant from it in this century .. or is it that you don't regard your husband at all.. omo ehn!

    ReplyDelete

    1. That's ehnn no regard at all

    2. Its the lady that holds the blame here yada yada yada, men have children out of wedlock all the time but women are supposed to deal with it. Wives will be at home crying their lives out because they are childless but husband will be busy outside fathering children up and down instead of supporting his wife and looking for solutions on how she can bear children, now the tables are turned and women don't have their time anymore because they prioritise themselves and their children over any man or husband but men can't take it.

Una never see anything, gone are the days when women eat unhappiness for breakfast, lunch and dinner, men are not the only ones entitled to be happy, women too have the right to be happy.

    4. Dante...permit me to expatiate on some of your bullet points.
      NO BITE ME O. Ehen!

      1. These men are sought after by the ladies themselves. Forget it. Dem full Magodo and Ikeja.
She climbs the rungs of the success ladder faster than you can imagine while the ladies she came in at same time have not even been promoted for years or probably fired.
      2. You see Tunde, he knew every of his wife's moves.
The microfinance bank he's heading is owned by Nuru's close ally. How did he get there? Wasn't the wife "fixing" him?

      3. How do you explain that a couple whose man of the house earns a 6 digit salary and the iyawo earns a 7 digit salary who's 1st figure is not greater than 3 has 3 kids in that Trump's international School in Victoria Island and pays N6.2m per session for the 3 kids? That's some whopping N18.6m and by 6 years of secondary education is N111.6m. Don't know where his kids schooled before relocation, just giving you a lead on a typical Lagos scenario from lifestyle of ladies in moyo's circle. They are wild and fly.
Then the trips to Disneyland and many choice locations in different parts of the world for summer, her massive digitalized cars changed often, for madam and the kids, sometimes oga joins them to vacation resorts, as in what? Beneficiary or Money lender?. Where do they get these funds? Are they magicians?
It's men like Nuru that fund the family lifestyle.

4.Dont be surprised Nuru has bought them an apartment in a cool county in Minnesota and voooom, she moves with her kids, after being overpaid with fringe benefits as severance package.

Tunde's family is crying wolf, when did yoruba men start bearing Fulani kids, complexion, ears and all? They were enjoying the largesse till shit hit the fan. Owner of kids has collected his kids and taken them to stage 2 in America. End of hide and seek love that condom or whatever drug would have prevented but no, she got one, Nuru was spending, she added another kid, right under his nose. Abegiiii.

They should mourn Tunde quietly and pray their pregnant new wife births in peace. And yes, he died from complications of a "broken heart" courtesy of a crooked lady he married.

Have you seen that Mrs Moyo Thomas clique?
Dante you will break bottles if your wife was one of them.

Awon my daughter resembles my mummy in-law I still dey beg una for this blog. Return that kid now. 2 black people no dey born biracial kid.
      Evil no dey pay.

As for Nuru, his job is gonnnnneeee.
Nigerians are very revengeful, each time they pass an FCMB branch, tunde's death will come to mind. Don't ask what they'll do with their savings account profile. No bank will go down for one man.
On Twitter, they've changed their logo and name to FUCKERS COMMENDED MORTGAGE BANK, you think management will sit this out? Naaaaa.

When Chief Felix Odimegwu campaigned for President Olusegun Obasanji's 3rd term bid, Nigerian youths stopped drinking Star Lager beer and they were incurring losses. Nigerian Breweries Limited fired Chief Felix straight up.
Sorry to Nuru in months to come.

    5. Hmmm @ XP. I wonder what Tunde was thinking when he married her. The babe na super big girl for FCMB with tight connections.

So many puzzles but no answers.

Maybe he knew her lifestyle but married her for the gains, maybe he thought she will chill after marriage or maybe he knew about the affair but was only embarrassed the kids didn't look like him.

Whatever It was, may the Lord rest his soul.

  20. To me, the bank is overstepping its bounds. Maybe they are afraid of losing customers. People like me can never be bothered by that. Former employees, so what's the basis for the review. You private life once it doesn't interfere with your work is none of your employer's business. When will people get that? I would be sick in the head if I were Adam Nuru to appear before any board.

    1. Probably if his romance was with a single lady your view would have been on point. Having sexual relationship with a married woman is against the law of the land and also against the ethics of many corporate organisations. Being a MD make it worse.

  21. Abeg how is Adam Nuru responsible for the death of the guy. Tunde had moved on. He was about to get married to a lady supposedly pregnant for him. I said supposedly because Tunde must have been blind to not see that those kids weren’t his. Either blind or something else is up.

People are accusing his ex of plenty things but what if Adam Nuru was just a willing/unknowing sperm donor?

Stella try and do a post about what women face in marriages with men who are infertile. Note I didn’t say impotent, but infertile. Infertility in men is beyond alarming these days. I know because I am a Doctor and u will be shocked what men suggest when confronted with their infertility.

Negative reputation is bad for any professional organization. The Bank is only involved because it’s name and reputation are dragged into it and it involves the number one man of the Bank. You people should try and have a bit of exposure abeg.
