  2. The Word In You!!
    Colossians 3:16.

    Excerpts!!

"Your reaction to challenges and adversities of  life will be to the extent of how much of the  Word is richly deposited in your spirit"

"In the day of crisis, you can only pull from the reservoir of the Word in you"

"If the Word isn’t dwelling in you richly, your  response would be from your head, and out of fear; and that wouldn’t work"

    Today's Confession!!

The Word of God is effective and producing results in me NOW! Christ is alive in me through the Word and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I’m victorious in all circumstances today. I walk in His glory, heaping success upon success, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  3. A WORD FOR THE NEW YEAR (3)

‘A land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of...God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end.’
    Deuteronomy 11:12 NKJV

This year God will take care of you. Like a good father taking care of a child he loves, God will watch over you, never taking His eye off you. And He will do it ‘from the beginning of the year to the very end’. Who else can make such a promise – and keep it? Your lawyer and your banker are normally available to you Monday to Friday, if they’re not too busy; otherwise, you can end up playing ‘telephone tag’. And if you get sick, unless you’re in a critical condition you may end up on a doctor’s waiting list. That’s not how it is with God! He guarantees you around-the-clock care. But you have a part to play as well: ‘If you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and...soul...I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain [provision for all your needs], your new wine [joy and happiness], and your oil [the power and presence of God]. And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock [investments], that you may eat and be filled [blessing and success in your business and career]’ (vv. 13-15 NKJV). Bottom line: if you walk with God and honour Him in all you do, this can be one of the most blessed years of your life.

    3. It's not about whether we can afford the lockdown. It's about securing lives.

The virus is everywhere now because of negligence by Nigerians.

The prayer is that harmattan mustn't show, if not we're in for it. All Nigerians.

      Stay safe.

  11. After reading the book,"He came to set the captives free", I just can't help but chip this here.

Sin is not just a reproach against God and a sure ticket to hell, but it also opens up doorways for demonic visitation. When you sin, your body becomes a portal for demons to come in and out of this world. It doesn't just end there, as a portal, you are made to suffer immeasurably. It may be awkward to start listing the examples of sins that we have, but I may like to draw your attention to a few that are a tad bit salient. Listening to rock music or any type of worldly music. These kinds of music are blessed by demonic princes, so much so that when you listen to them, you invite demons into your being. Also, the lyrics of these types of music are encoded with demonic incantations. Thus, you singing them means you are making such incantations and invoking demons. Yes, this may sound too clichΓ© and old school, but it is what it is.

Other door ways to demonic oppression / sin are doing drugs and alcohol, palm reading, seeance, acupuncture, role-playing games, football, certain toys and certain cartoons (designed for demonic oppression for children) , yoga, etc

We need to be sensitive in the Spirit, especially as regards the music we listen to.

If you can, try to get "Sanctifying the Ordinary" and "The Spiritual Man, Vol 1-3". Both books by Watchman Nee.

    4. I concur!

We need to be conscious of the times we are in. The enemy is working extra-time yet the human race keeps thinking it's business as usual. The Bible advises that we guard our heart WITH ALL DILIGENCE. Let's be conscious of the things we expose ourselves to, be it in entertainment, religion, financially or otherwise.

  24. Good morning Stella. I hear you re schools opening however, this has been going on for almost a year. The kids are starting to suffer from being at home so much. Besides, parents still have to work so child care is also and issue and the parents can still bring the virus home. Its all kind of a mess sha. I have been wearing masks since the first week of march and the skin around the mask region is suffering badly. I think the conversation needs to account for all these cos trust me, it not easy to be dealing with the anxiety, the isolation, inability to live as one had done earlier.

Please guys, just do your best to keep safe. Covid is very real, lets just do the best we can to help humanity. May God help us all.

Just let him be,when real hunger comes,no body will tell him except he goes out to eat, then sit him down and discuss it

    2. Very petty, sweetheart just make sure he gives you money for the food sha. Don't stress yourself over the 'elder young' biko

    3. Once you offer him the food and he says he's not eating.. Don't press further, put the food down in his front and moveeeeeeee.

Don't offer him food again till that day ends because all that childish behavior needs to stop!

      Delete
    4. Allow hunger to deal with him. No one fights with food for long. Check well you will catch him stealing food at night or eating out.

      Delete
    5. Simple: keep off any form of misunderstanding until he finishes his meal. πŸ˜€

    6. Let him starve. Make a sumptuous meal, dish and set on the table. If he doesn’t eat it, help yourself and out the rest away. Do not beg him to eat. The day he’s hungry, he will eat.

  38. I need to ask, if schools shouldn't resume, how long are the children going to stay home?

Remember that it's almost one year since the lockdown and Naija is unlike Western countries that organized online schooling from home that children doesn't miss out.

If you are talking of online lessons, is it every parent in Naija that can afford computers/laptops or internet enabled phones for their children to learn online?

Please, they should free the children to go to school and look for some other means to curb their covid.

The children are even tired of staying home.

    Good morning!

  40. Good morning I want to thank everyone for their feedbacks concerning my writeups..It is much appreciated..So Today I will continue and complete on How to create your CV with prior experience...

So yesterday I gave a scenario for the 2 jobseekers yesterday (check Monday SP) on how they wrote their CV and if you recall, one was more detailed than the other..So my preferred candidate will be jobseeker 1 because he showed good potentials and sold himself to be a good marketer.. Like I said yesterday, your CV should have the RELEVANT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS meaning for every job applied, your CV should be tailored according to the job requirements and specifications...

My advice to all intending and serving corp members aside from your PPA, use those 11 months to do some professional courses, online classes, volunteering that will further enhance your skills because you need to let them see your potentials and why you are the best fit for the job once you are done with your service.

Here are key points to note when preparing your CV
-Tailor your CV to the job for instance, if you are applying for a position of social media executive or digital marketer; create your CV according to the job positions..Don't use one CV to apply for different job positions.

    - Make the most of your personal statement - This needs to be so good as this will capture your attention of the hiring manager. Make it concise and short. At most, 3 or 5 lines about yourself, your skills and what makes you the perfect candidate for the role.

    - Think outside your job - Here your soft skills come to play; be involved in extracurricular activities and treat them as JOBS. So take advantage ofconducted charity work, completed mandatory work experience in the university or companies – anything that will look good on a CV. Because you must have acquired some valuable skills for the job.

-Leverage on transferable skills - Here you need check within you, compare various job positions you are interested in and look out for those transferable skills. Examples are customer service, management experience and data analysis.

    - Add a cover letter - PLEASE IT IS A BIG SACRILEDGE IF YOU DON'T ATTACH THIS TO YOUR CV.
    - Show your personality - Enthusiasm and your personality goes a long way to make a strong candidate or top choice than most candidates.Look out for your personal traits as well...Meaning you need to stand out; research on the company, check their vision, mission, culture and core values and see that it aligns with own values and culture as well..
-Use the right keywords - ATS (Applicant tracking systems) are used now in some companies in Nigeria so you need to use keywords to make your CV stand out..Make use of action words, compelling phrases or sentences like Controlled, Executed, Organized, Oversaw, Planned, Produced, Administered, Designed, Created, Established, Initiated, Decreased, Deducted, Lessened, Reconciled, Reduced, Yielded, Accelerated, Achieved, Delivered, Improved, Maximized, Sustained, Modified, Integrated, Reorganized, Remodeled, Revamped, Upgraded, Acquired, Negotiated, Outperformed, Reached, Attained, Awarded, Completed e.t.c.

**Sourced from topcv.com and themuse.com and some are my own writeup as well..Thank you
