Governor Ikpeazu says...
''The road which cuts across Osisioma and Isiala Ngwa South LGAs of Abia also links neighbouring states like Akwa Ibom and Cross River.
For my administration, this road is of utmost importance to us as it greatly enhances the economic activities of the people and makes commuting goods and services very easy not only among benefitting LGAs but also among Abians and between Abia and her neighbouring states.
I must thank my friend, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, Governor of Akwa Ibom State for graciously accepting to come commission the road and for the kind words .he volunteered at the occasion. It was an indication of the spirit of brotherliness that exists between the two states and their peoples.
I must also not fail to thank our people who came out in their numbers to support us during the commissioning. The feedback...
.from their reactions is that they appreciate our efforts at repositioning Abia through massive road infrastructural development. Let me assure them that we are not about to rest on our oars but are determined to do even more for them, God helping us.
I urge them to protect the road and ensure negative human activities that diminish the quality of roads like this one are not allowed.
With our people's continued support, we shall do more''!
What a shame, in 2021 state governors are commissioning roads, cutting ribbons and taking pictures when in western countries and Asia constructing roads is part of everyday life that no one even hears about. What a bloody shame.
