Gov. Bello Disbands Kogi United And Confluence Queens Football Clubs For Protesting Over Allowances

Governor Yahaya Bello, on Monday, disbanded Kogi United and Confluence Queens Following protests embarked upon by players of  over poor remuneration,

The disbandment of the two state teams was confirmed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayode.

The reasons for the disbandment of the team was not stated in news aired on the state-owned radio, which was monitored by Dailypost Monday evening.

Before the state female football club played their match against FC Robo last Saturday, they had threatened to boycott the match, alleging that the government had failed to pay them their sign on fee and many other allowances.

But the Confluence Queens later honoured the match and won with a lone goal after much pleading from the management of the club led by Abdul Sule.

The players had accused the government of failing to give priority to their welfare as they continue to play their league matches with empty stomachs.

Some of the players who spoke to Dailypost last Wednesday under the condition of anonymity, accused the government of neglecting its own football teams, but finds solace in outsiders despite their achievements in the state.

  2. I thought this useless clown of a governor and one of the worst performing governors in Nigeria is positioning himself for the presidency? Yet he can't handle basic protests without being dictatorial.
He is one of those calling covid 19 a scam. A shame of a man.

  3. These men/women in power are savages. Just imagine! People protesting for their salaries? Should they be owed in the first place? And they (politicians) receive theirs plus looting the state treasury dry. When men play God...

  4. Lol..
Problem no dey finish for this country..

And the more annoying thing is that the citizens have short memory.. they're too emotional and quick to forget..

It's on Tonto post yesterday I took cognizance of that fact.. the Tonto that came to call her son father a 40 seconds online, said her mother in law and husband have sex etc etc.. is the one that everyone is now rallying around for.. it's her son I pitied then cos na him go suffer the insult.. Girls would still rush Churchill cos him get money.. but the son would be insulted by his peers on having a mad mom, a 40 seconds and ritualist dad and grandma that commit incent..

Nigerians have short term memory.. it's how Buhari was reelected after his past antecedents as a military head of state and his comments that causes tribal clashes when he lost election.. it's why people like Yaya Bello and tinubu would continue to win elections..

    We never ready

  7. And he's coming for presidency?

Oh! I forget Nigerians will always vote for the wrong person.

If this one becomes president, he'll disband youth if they hold any protest.
