Actress Adesua Etomi Talks About The Challenges She Had During Pregnancy And Thanks Her Mum For Being There...

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi Wellington says she had Hyperemesis gravidarum when she was pregnant and talks about how difficult it was....

Oh dear!

She says.....

''I don't even know where to start...
Please thank my mummy on my behalf because I can't possibly thank her enough.

My Mummy has always been my heroine but even more so now.
Throughout my lifetime and throughout my pregnancy journey, she was there every step of the way.

During my first trimester I had Hyperemesis gravidarum and I had it BAD. Any pregnant woman that has experienced this knows what I'm talking about. My mummy was on lockdown in the UK but would still sit on the phone with me for hours. Just talking to me even though all I could muster was a few words and nodding yes and no. The countless times I cried, my mummy was there telling me it would be OK and it'll pass.

Then Champ came and she has been with us for 6 weeks. If you see that I'm well rested and happy, it's because of her. From taking care of him so i can rest, to washing and sterilising, to making me pap in the mornings, to doing night shifts, to bathing him. KAI!!!
I am SO GRATEFUL for you @eniiwaju_etomi etomi
Always asking if I'm OK. Telling me 'pele' when you see I'm tired or in pain. I feel seen and cared for.

You are the best mother i could have ever asked for and if I was asked to choose my mother in another lifetime, I'd pick you again.
I have a deeper appreciation for you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you for teaching me love, strength, resilience, courage, hardwork, respect etc...simply by showing it.

You are the best mummy ever and the best and latest grandma in town and only God can bless you for me.
I'm a mummy but I will always be your lil girl.

I love you very very very much.
Ps. We will be needing you for baby number 2 when it's time. T for tenks

~ Mama Z

    4. Anonymous 16:04, lucky you. I get sick from the day I know I'm pregnant until I put to bed " I can't explain it" and it happens in all pregnancies. I have 3 children and both sexes because some people would say oh it's because ure having a boy that's why ure this sick, na lie.
During my pregnancies I would have to stay in one room till 3 months because everywhere smells except my bedroom 😂😂😂, I had to stop working because I TTC for 6 years.
All kids were CS, I was lifeless, even the wind will blow me, during antenatal I would manage to go and to get blood out of me was war because I just couldn't take anything, even water had a very strange taste. God bless all good and patient midwives.
My eye see wen and because I live abroad without family it felt like my life was going to be over but I bless God my last child was 11 in January.
I used to look at the clock ticking and counting how many hours it will take for my husband to get home from work then 😂😂😂.
Omo God bless all mum's oooo

    5. Wow...@anon 18.04...thank God it is all in the past now...

Lemme continue to pray for it to go so smooth... for me.

People that kept expecting Adesuwa to be bloated should know hypermedia gravidarum leaves a pregnant woman skinny if it is that serious. She can't eat and even gain adequate weight because everything is thrown out as vomit.

  8. Thank God for the gift of mothers.

I had a friend who suffered the same. Hers was BAD. The baby was born at 32weeks terribly malformed. She kept hoping that the scan results were wrong. My friend suffered. She was always in IV till around 5months.
It was not an easy experience.

  12. Thank God for you Adesua! I suffered same too and mine was very bad. It lasted until almost seven months into my pregnancy.

One time, I begged God to just take the baby away from inside me.... I couldn't keep anything inside. I was on drip, spending weeks at the hospital on intervals.

Some nurses never believed I was pregnant 🤰 because the bump wasn't showing until like eight months.

I was surprised how huge my baby was when I gave birth.
I thank God today that its now all a testimony to the glory of God.

God bless and keep your newborn Adesua 💕💞🤗

    6. Mine lasts until 2 weeks after I deliver.
I was still vomiting after I had my babies, coupled with severe tooth ache immediately after delivery. In one of my pregnancies, I was rushed straight after delivery to the dental section of the same hospital, an experience I can never forget.
Went from a UK size 16 to a UK size 6. All my 3 pregnancies were like that. To God be the glory, for preserving my life.

  21. I had HG thruout both of my pregnancies (till the day babies were delivered). It is emotionally, mentally and physically drwining. The trips to hospital, the trials of medication, risk of each medication. At some point it was like this baby wants to kill me, please take the baby out. Thank God for giving mother's special grace.
