Ex-JAMB Registrar Professor Ojerinde Arrested By ICPC Over N900 Million Naira Fraud

The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) has arrested a former Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Dibu Ojerinde, for allegedly misappropriating N900 million.

Professor Ojerinde, who was arrested on 15th March, 2021, in Abuja, by operatives of ICPC, is alleged to have committed multiple frauds while heading JAMB and the National Examination Council (NECO).

He has been detained by the Commission for questioning over allegations of multiple identities, abuse of office, money laundering, tax evasion and making false statements to public officials.

The former JAMB boss is also being questioned by the Commission for allegedly awarding fraudulent contracts to shell companies which cannot be traced.

He was alleged to have awarded contracts for the supply of pencil and eraser at the cost of N450 million each, to Double 07 Concept Limited and Pristine Global Concept Limited, respectively, between 2013 and 2014 while heading JAMB.

  2. Who do we blame for this??
I'll keep saying it; A typical Nigerian is corrupt. We cannot be trusted with public resources. Most of the people calling politicians names are even more corrupt than the politicians they are bashing.
We really need to do better and purge ourselves of greed.
Professor Ojerinde was never a politician.

Is his case still ongoing or he's already serving or he wasn't found guilty??
Here's this ugly frog, what's the need exposing his crime when there'd be no punishment levelled on him to serve?

  13. I don't know this man so won't say he is guilty or not. Let the courts do their job.

One thing I know is that there is too much corruption in every aspect of life in this country yet there are a few good men.
    May God uphold the righteous.
